I go there now and its okay the only think i experienced in my freshman year was getting put in iss because I didnt have my id for one day. Some teachers are mean, but most of the ones I have are pretty nice and some are too nice to the point where students run over them. A lot of the work is over pressuring because teachers assign like 2-4 assignments a day and you have 4 classes so it gets stressful. I personally cant bash the people because most of the administrators dont have a problem with me because I dont let teachers talk to me any type of way. If you do plan to come here you better have tough skin because these teachers will make jokes and if you cant point them out for it then they will continue and then a time you do, theres a chance you will be in iss or get written up. Other than that the food is sometimes okay just depends on the day, but I mainly eat from the vending machines where the food is packaged. Oh and dont forget the dress code its kind of bias to if you wear tights or sweatpants and you have more of a behind than the next girl.

Currently a senior now so i dont know whether or not the review will change but so far its been ok.. I realized you should be careful who you hang around and who you trust and who you trust because Im telling you. Not trying be funny or not trying to be shady, but this school is full of snakes. Keep your circle small because everyone is talking about somebody.

Rules and discipline help to form a child into a better adult. I appreciate the administration having rules that other high schools in the area do not have (shirts tucked in and no phones). The staff are amazing. There are lots of AP classes that are offered and more are added each year.

Its really not that bad. I graduated from here in 2016 and honestly met some amazing teachers and some amazing friends. I dont know how a lot of the new staff since most of the teachers I had left after I graduated, but the ones I know stuck around are some of the ones that made my high school experience as amazing as it was. Its probably the strictest school in the county, but honestly that was one of the things I liked about it. They werent biased towards anyone and enforced most of the same rules (boys did have an extra rule for tucking in shirts that did lean a bit more on the ridiculous side and their phone policy is a bit extreme). Out of the two high schools I attended for my high school career, this was definitely my favorite, and the one I am proudest of. Im happy Im able to say I graduated from this school.

Not wonderful. Not miserable either. Just kinda there. Not wonderful because some teachers know how to use their magical powers of authority to be jerks while the administrators look away, but it really just depends on who you get. Id say the bad teachers dont make up a majority of the school, so its a stretch to call this place miserable unless you just get in trouble a lot (which may or may not be your own fault).

The teachers treat people differently. If a teacher dont like you they will get mad at you for every little thing but a student they dont have problems with can do the same thing and nothing happen. The Spanish teacher Mr.schewdel hears someone who cuss and he didnt do nothing but the kid that he doesnt like cuss and he kicked him out and put him in iss. Ms.Baggett sent me home because apparently I had on pajamas pants but a white student hugged her and he had bedroom slippers on and pajamas and she didnt say nothing. Some teachers are racist. The lunch is the same everyday the pizza is disgusting the nachos are soggy the hamburgers are pink and the subs be running out of meat. I was sent home for a virus because of them hamburgers. If you drive to chapel hill and you dont feel good they dont believe that you are sick and trying to drive home they only think you trying to skip. The school tries to take people for there money...... to tryout for baseball you have to pay 250 dollars before the tryouts for a donation for a freaking new billboard on the field . and half of the people who paid DIDNT MAKE THE TEAM. then parents want t0 call up there and the school just goes ghost. From Dr.Kelly and all his strict staff they had all left with him, the school is only strict because of Ms.Baggett. EVEN at the prom it was boring, she brought a 80- year old dj who was playing souja boy, teach me how to dougie and miley cyrus. EVEN TEACHER LIKE HER TRIED TO TAKE MY DAMN PHONE AT PROM. coaches plays favorite as well. (Coach Deshon) plays favorite more than anybody. He dont give a damn about you unless you on the football team dont get me started if they on a verge to go D1. HE will act like he doesnt like nobody but a football player needs help he comes faster than the police. This is a school you cant belong in for 4 whole years.

This is a great school for parents and kids who realize school is a place to learn. If tucking in shirts and keeping phone turned off and away makes you determine this is a bad school then maybe DC is where you should go, your kids can leave campus whenever with who ever and walk to nearby abandoned townhomes for a day of who knows what. I think that having structure is what kids around Douglasville need and Chapel Hill is doing its best to provide this.

I am a student that goes here and coming from DC High school to here I think this is the 2nd worst school in the county (the first being Lithia). They are way to strict on the rules. Always having to tuck in your shirt and if you dont, straight write-up, cant pull out your phones what-so-ever and if they see it at all they take it away no excuse. Every team here is complete garbage except volleyball and track, especially football when they use the same predictable plays and use the same players. And the lunch, better start getting used to eating the same stuff every weak cause thats what youll be doing. So the final verdict is, dont send your child to this B.S., I dont recommend it.

This school goes too far on taking disciplinary measures. Theres a very strict rule about tucking shirts in which is reasonable, but the way its enforce is very unacceptable. There was a time my brother had messed around with his friends and one friend suddenly untucked his shirt as a joke and in a second notice, a school administrator wrote him a write-up slip and said No excuses. My brother is a sophomore at Chapel Hill High School, very well behaved, and always does what needs to be followed.Just recently my brother was exhausted from work the day before and overslept, not hearing his alarm, and came on the bus late for the first time. An administrator was on the bus, gave him a write-up, and gave him a whole week of bus suspension. It is very unjust disciplinary punishment. The staff should think twice before they put it on any permanent record. This school cant possibly get any worse, right? As a student at CHHS myself, I feel as if Im in a jail cell compared to the previous years Ive attended here. It seems like they put less focus on academic teachings (which is super important) and put much more effort in enforcing disciplinary actions and there are very few things you can look forward to when attending this school. It seems much less than an average school. I dont recommend going here.

The rules are way to strick and the no phone policy is in my opinion not a great idea what if theres a fire or something how are the kids supposed to get a hold of there parents if they need them or something like that. Also the dress code is just to much the kids cant express how they fill if they have a dress code if they have to follow? Just some of the rules are dumb and need to be let off the hook i guess

This school is straight garbage. They see your phone once and they take it up like they own it. The dress code is comepletely ridiculous as well. Parents think this school is great because it prepares us to be Better adults. This school system makes the high school experience dreadful. The teachers arent as racist as they were last year but still the abuse their power and do whatever they want while the administrators look away. Im glad Im graduating so i dont have to be apart of this school anymore.

What I dont understand is that some guy can walk around here with light-up sneakers. No, not the sketchers kind, but the kind that looks like hes a walking carnival ride. I dont understand how THAT isnt distracting, but HEAVEN FORBID I show my shoulder or if my bra strap is showing. I find it sort of funny how everyday, Dr. Kelly goes on the announcements claiming that the school cares about our education. He should follow it with unless youre not in dress code. If youre not in dress code, screw you. Also, a bunch of teachers are leaving because this school system is actually ass. Instead of Chapel Hill, they should call it Chapel Hell.

All these people here writing stuff about the rules and how theyre unjust. Why cant you just send your kid to school, and let him/her just do what has to be done to go home. If tucking in your shirt is a problem for you please realize you have bigger problems. I wear a jacket to school every day and I have no problems from administrators, and when the instances I have had my shirt untucked, administrators would tell me to tuck it in and dont let them catch it out again, so I keep it tucked. And another thing; Dress Code, if you know the dress could, why go against it, and get mad bc you broke the rules. Its common sense, dont break it. This is an amazing school and i love it.

Somebody needs to control the crazy administration. They be wildin, bruh they was writing me up for everything bruh. They threatened to tow my car becasue my bass was to heavy????? Like my bad i boom. Then they got mad when i parked one day without a parking pass? like get over it. They tried sending me to iss for a week for not having a parking pass, i felt the whole thing was complete bull. Some of the teachers however are awesome while others dont know what the hell they are doing@ tiffany miranda. The ROTC is disorganized also, they cant keep anything together and the participation levels are terrible.
