My daughter is 5 and has been going to ddc for almost 3 years now. She has taken creative movement and tumbling classes. We love the staff! Everyone is so nice and easy to talk to. It’s family run and they treat us like family too. Easy to pay online or in person. The rates are reasonable as well! We will definitely keep coming here as long as my daughter wants to keep dancing :)

My 5 yr daughter is so happy every week when it’s time to go to class. I’m so happy I found this place! I wanted to find a dance school that allowed us to watch the children dance. That was difficult to find. This school has a tv in another room so parents can watch their kids at a distance to not be a distraction.The teachers are all friendly and my daughter is having the time of her life. Definitely recommend

I am new to the Downey Dance Center but I am content with them. They have great dance teachers and I love that they have a space area to watch our kids do their dance lessons. I am lucky to have this dance center so nearby me. I would recommend this place. I would say that it is a small dance studio rather than others I have taken my daughter before but it is not always about quantity that matters rather quality is what we look for. A downside is that they do not accept any makeups for a missed class and one thing I get anxiety is when they open the garage door and door from the dance room since cars passed by behind the building it just gives me anxiety but I know that they do it when it gets really hot. Just hope they had better ac circulation in the room to avoid having to open those doors. But overall I would recommend this place and the dance teachers are great at what they do my ultimate favorite teacher is Alfredo, he is exceptional and very passionate about his work.

My 9 yo daughter has never done any dance before but she’s been taking the Jazz and Musical Theater classes for 2 months now and she loves it. DDC was super responsive and the I first inquired about classes (even texting me schedules) and they make it really easy to set up payments online. They are also affordable so it’s a win-win all around!

We have been at Downey Dance Center for 7 years. My daughter loves her tap class! Miss Julie is awesome!! Friendly environment and dedicated teachers. Our 5 year old son asked us to enroll himas well and he’s loving it! It’s a very welcoming environment.

My daughter has attended the Creative Movement Class at DDC for about 4 months now. (She is 3yo) I have noticed her muscle development, coordination, and cognitive skills improve with each class. The class is well structured and helps prepare students for an academic classroom setting with focus on listening and speaking skills.The staff is very welcoming. The studio has an app where you can sign up for classes, pay for tuition, and receive messages. They also have a social media page. I highly recommend this dance studio if you are considering signing up for a dance class.

Downey Dance Center is the best dance studio around. My granddaughter has been dancing here since she was 5. She is now 15 and still loves dancing here. She even volunteers as a student teacher/assistant. I also have a 3 year old granddaughter dancing here and she is always so excited to attend class. The teachers are the best and have very creative choreography. They care for the kids here and it shows. I would totally recommend this studio and in fact, I have already recommended it to two of my nieces who now attend classes here. If you are looking for a fun, caring, professional dance studio, then look no further. Downey Dance Center is the best around!

So happy to have found this studio! We started bringing our daughter here in September just after she turned three. She loves her classes, teachers, and the friends she’s made! I’m so impressed with how much she’s learned already and how amazingly patient, caring, and energetic her teachers are. This studio is truly the best!

My four year old loves going to creative moment and tiny tumbling. She always have so much learning and all the teachers are so patient with the kids. I’m really glad I put my four year old in these classes. The girls that check temperature and are always there if we need a question answered. They’ve been so helpful.

I was looking for a good dance studio for my daughter and DDC was highly recommended by my family, which have been coming here for years. To be honest it really is a Great Dance Studio. Everyone is so friendly, teachers are great with the kiddos and they are very creative with their choreography. My daughter is 8 years old and it’s her first dance class ever, she really loves her Tap Class and has learned so much already. Thank you DDC for the great work that you do!

I could not be happier with Downey Dance Center! I joined my 4 year old in the creative movement and tumbling classes a year ago, and I have no regrets. The staff are all friendly, knowledgeable, and I love how organized they are with their app and emails. My daughter has learned confidence, social skills and awesome dance and gymnastics moves. Over the summer I was desperate to find a tumbling class for my girls to get out of the house and interact with kids in a safe environment. My daughters have LOVED their time at Downey Dance Center! I appreciate that the class is fun, but the teacher focuses on proper form and making them do moves again and again while she is watching and helping them correct their technique. It has been such a wonderful thing to find them in the midst of such a crazy year!

My 3 year old daughter started towards the end of last year and has been enjoying her creative movement class so much. Miss Julie has been amazing and my daughter loves coming every week.

My son started dancing at DDC a few months ago. He loves class with Miss Julie and I love that he is fostering his creativity. The Covid protocols they have in place make me feel comfortable. I drive almost 30 miles to bring him because its worth it.

The Staff here is amazing, they are all very friendly and professional. My 4yr old Loves her creative movement class and is always looking forward to going every week. The staff also sanitizes their studio after each class following all CDC guidelines to keep Everyone safe. It’s Definitely the place I recommend for parents who want to give their kids an opportunity to learn how to express themselves through movement.

My little one loves DDC! She is 6 and in the hip hop class. All the staff is very friendly, answer any questions you may have very thoroughly and they provide the best and most fun classes. Now during this pandemic they take every precaution and keep everything and everyone sanitized. Especially with our little ones, we can never be too careful, but placing those 6ft apart markers on the floor was an awesome way for the dancers to practice social distancing! ❤

This review is long over due. My daughter is 4 years old and had been begging for us to put her in gymnastics and ballet, because of Covid I was a bit skeptical about signing her up. I found DDC through Yelp & took the chance. From her very first class to now 6 months later we absolutely love DDC. They take every precaution to keep our babies safe and happy. I have my daughter in tiny tumbling with Teacher Shae & creative movement with Miss Julie. My daughter loves her teachers as do we. So kind, patient, & professional. My daughter has learned amazing things since starting classes with Shae & Julie. I can’t wait to continue bringing her to DDC and hopefully to start competitions in the near future. Thank you DDC & staff for an amazing 6 months!!
