They waste alot of your time by going over insignificant techniques that dont even affect your driving skills whatsoever. I purchased a 2 hour lesson for about $200-250 and 40 minutes of that was all wasted on mastering a steering wheel technique that supposedly helps you turn better although the technique is completely subjective to the drivers style of maneuvering and did not help my turning at all. He even told me my turning had improved afterwards when in reality it just got worse.
