My son went there 2 years from when he turned 3-5 years old. Such a great environment!! I dont regret it one bit they taught him social skills (since hes an only child) to alphabet and numbers! He became prepared for kinder so fast and the staff is nothing but friendly!! I honestly rgret taking him out for the summer!! Like I said he went 2 years straight including summer and he loved it!! I wish I would have let him stay till summer was over. But I do recommend having your child here great school!!!

I used to go there when I was in preschool. The classes were always a lot of fun. The only thing that was bad were the kids. They would take my stuff away from me and sometimes they wouldnt give it back. They also liked to push me and would exclude me from playing with them, going to the playground, and eating at their table. As a result, I was often alone. I know that they did a lot more but I cant remember what else. The teachers never did anything about it. Whenever I would tell on them, the kids would either manipulate the story, or the teacher would tell me to ignore them. You cant just ignore bullying. Parents, you dont want your children raised in an environment full of bullies, especially when your kids are so young.

Dear Moms of Downey, I would like to share an unacceptable experience from my sons daycare. On Tuesday the 8th, as usual after work I went to pick up my 7 year old special needs son at Around the world (lakewood/Cherokee). When I went there at 4.11pn, not only they didnt have my son but also they didnt know where my son was. The agreement between them and me was, when my son gets dropped off from the school bus, they walk him to the daycare. The bus drops him off right in front of the entrance of the daycare. As a mom, the.moment, I realized my son is not there, i blacked out!! I regained my strength and called the school, obviously the school was closed by 4.20 when I made the call. Then i called the school bus company and they said that, since the day care wouldnt open the gates for them to enter nor pick up their calls my son was stuck in the school bus for the past 2 hours. While speaking to them, the school bus came and my son was dropped off safe!! Thanks to God. The teachers were apologizing and hugging me at the reunion, because I broke down when I saw my son. No one was able to give me an answer of why this happened. All they could say was sorry. So, I demanded an explanation. As there was noone in charge available, the next day the owner or in charge, I know her name is Susy!! Her explanation was, neither her or her staff was responsible for what happened, it was my unfortunate situation . I questioned her if this situation was expe5in future and her answer was MAYBE.I asked her why was i not informed immediately when my son was not there..her reply was NO STAFF TO CALL ME, why was the gates not opened, NO STAFF, why didnt you pick up the calls from the school bus company..NO STAFF!! Also she said that their responsibility on my son is ONLY WHEN HE ENTERS THEIR BUILDING !! So basically, they decided not to provide service for my son out of the blue without me knowing!! Moms, would you send your kid here? I have moved my son to another place. THIS IS FOR YOUR INFORMATION!! I DONT WANT ANY MOM TO GO THROUGH WHAT I HAD TO FACE THAT DAY, NOT KNOWING WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR BABY!! THANKYOU .

Plain and simple if you want the best for your child stay AWAY from this school!!!

I worked at a.t.w. for eight years. At the time we had two schools. One was on downey ave and the other one was on new street. At downey ave we had two years to three and half. And at new street we had four year old to third grade. The elementary students would go on field trips and have bake sales. The children would look forward to coming to school to see their teachers and play with their friends. When i started at Downey ave i was a potty training teacher. I enjoyed my time there. They than decided to move us to one school four years ago. It is on lakewood bl. A.t.w. is a great school to take your children to. The time i was their they learned so much. And we would also have our holiday events. Wr would have are truck or treat for Halloween. And Christmas programs . and we would also have our graduations in the summer. The staff was great. I would highly recommend around the world childrens center

My grandson went to this amazing school.The enviroment is great ! He came here from the time he was 2years old to 5.He was already blending sounds into words. His social skills are very will developed. The teachers ,staff and administration are very professional.My granson still recalls all the wonderful things he learned and all the fun activities.And the school provides extra curriculums.I highly recommend this school it is worth it.
