Acting as the community arts hub, the Hudgens Center not only hosts between four and six separate exhibitions each year, but also offers longer term visitors the chance to join their fine art classes. The centre’s Al Weeks Sculpture Garden is award winning, and centred around an attractive lily pond. Children are able to explore their artistic side in the Kids Art Zone. Its 3,200 square metre area is made up of several different gallery spaces, where art as varied as collage and contemporary photography shares wall space with the ever-popular juried members’ exhibition. This sees a judging panel pick the best of submissions from right across Georgia.

Beautiful theatre venue that is always clean and well-cared for. Theres plenty of free parking and the seats are comfortable, the orchestra sounds great, and the stage is beautifully lit.

This is a very cute at center and beautiful space! The art is well curated and the ladies in the gift shop were exceptionally outgoing and friendly. This is a small art center which means you can see all the art in about an hour. If you are in the neighborhood I strongly recommend swinging on by.

Really enjoyed the Delta Hill Riders exhibit. My kids enjoyed the activity area. The guy in the snack area needs to relax and not be so nasty to kids.

Friendly, helpful employees. Beautiful exhibits. The only bad thing about our experience was that we couldnt find parking. CBS is using the parking area for a movie set base, so parking near the building was very, very limited, we had to circle a few times and got lucky when a car left.

The Hudgens Center for the Arts is the BEST KEPT LITTLE SECRET in Gwinnett County and all of Georgia! There is something for everyone! The art gallery is amazing and changes periodically so theres always something new and interesting. The sculpture garden is beautiful with a lovely water feature ... so relaxing and inspiring! For the littler artists there is a special area set aside just for them with different centers for them to try out different art forms. The gift shop promotes local artists along with other interesting items ... but ... the highlight of the Center would be the art classes offered! The teachers are leagues above any other in the area! Very supportive and knowledgeable. If you love art to look at or to learn how to the Hudgens is the place to go!

We went here for a big event and it was so nice! (Gwinnett 200th Birthday Celebration). I will definitely be back to check out a show and see what else they can offer for toddlers. My one year old loved it!

This is just a small art center with very displays. You can be in and out in about 10 minutes. I concur with another reviewer that classes tend to be cancelled. I dont know if they are marketing the classes enough because surely there must be a lot of people interested in the arts. They do offer a variety of classes, but oftentimes, they are cancelled. I will say what makes it worth it is that you can get a free pass to the museum by showing your Gwinnett Public Library card.

The best thing that I ever did for myself was to sign up for a pottery class at the Hudgens. Practice is so instrumental in becoming adept at throwing on a potters wheel and Hudgens provides open studio time every day of the week except for Sundays. The pottery studio has a wide array of glazes for the electric, gas and Raku firings. All of the instructors are always willing to offer help. The school has also offered so many amazing workshops. It is such a wonderful environment for the creative mind. The lovely sculpture garden with a Koi pond is a great place to unwind. The gift shop features the work of local artists. The gallery always features art to spark your imagination. Its always fun at the Hudgens on Family Days when there are activities designed to inspire children. The Hudgens is a great resource in Gwinnett county for those who appreciate art.

This was my familys first visit to the Hudgens Art Center. It is a beautiful facility; my children (ages 7 and 3) really enjoyed the sculpture garden. After taking in the featured art exhibits, we went to the Kids Zone. They played with the features and made necklaces with yarn and straw pieces.Hudgens was earning 5 stars feom me until the following occurred:There were two women working on crafts in the Kid Zone. Then another woman came in and very loudly began describing a gruesome auto accident she saw at Satellite Blvd and Hywy 120. The 3 women went on to discuss blood and wether the man she saw was dead. Not only were they speaking loudly, but my children were about 4 feet from them putting on a puppet show.I love exposing my kids to art and they love to play and create, so Hudgens Art Center was perfect combination-- sans graphic descriptions of accident scenes.
