My son has been here for almost 2 years now. And seeing the love and dedication the instructors give I also decided to join the Hapkido family. Master Foor and Instructor Avila are absolutely amazing! They are so kind and understanding and motivate the students to be the best versions of themselves! Our experience has been nothing less than perfect and I know it will continue!I highly recommend this studio to anyone looking to involve your children or yourself in something worthy that teaches discipline, respect and strength!It has been in honor to know these beautiful people!

I made the best decision enrolling my two boys into HapKido Martial Arts in Duluth. It has been almost a year that my boys have been attending and I have seen some positive changes in them. The staff Master Foor, instructor Avila, and others are so friendly, encouraging and most of all professional. You can tell they love what they do. My son Layton has been attending Hapkido for a few weeks. Hes been so excited to go weekly , that hes set timers around the entire house so hes on time. This is a way of good time management skills. The coaches there are free spirited and lively with the kids, making it fun and exciting to learn. Ms.Jade is such a sweetheart, shes always so willing and empathetic. Amazing attributes from each of them, which makes me comfortable with their teaching skills.

Our family really loves this place. The atmosphere is so different from the other places we’ve tried. We feel so welcomed and the goals that we have for our family as a whole, just feels like it’s definitely going to be assisted here. I look forward, to moving forward with this family of instructors, because that’s what it feels like when you come here.

Choes HapKiDo is a great place for both adults and kids. The staff and instructors are absolutely wonderful and truly care about their students. They throw fun holiday events for the kids and family as well. If youre looking for a place for yourself or your child to learn martial arts, they have great promotions year round that you can try out. Choe’s HapKiDo is a gem for the community. I found them by chance three years ago when my then special needs toddler was recommended a martial arts program by his therapist. They welcomed him so warmly in the Little Ninjas program. My son has gained so much confidence and dexterity in a compassionate and safe place, surrounded by kind people who’ve become family to us. Choes Hapkido of Duluth is a great place for people to learn self assurance and focus. My child has been a student here for almost 2 yrs; and theyve always treated us like family. The instructors help instill focus and challenge their students. I couldnt imagine taking my son to another martial arts school;this is home for us.

My son Jeremy has been attending classes at Choe’s Hapkido for also a year now and it has been a great experience. He has gained a great deal of confidence in himself and has learn to control his body more, along with learning a ton of self-defense.

I’m glad because i take the best choice of my life and my son’s life too everything started when he was bullying at school one day he come home from school bleeding from his nose a 5 grader punched him very hard he was in 1st graded in that time, as a mother i was desespérate , then my son told me i want practice HapKiDo he gave me the best idea and i take the choice i looking for many places close to our house then i find HapKiDo in pleasant hill Rd .. i call them since the first call I knew it i was in the right place w/ the rights persons now days my son knows how to defend himself instructors are professionals and very compassionate with all the kids they transmitted peace also they’re super friendly and respectful my son is super happy with them if I could gave them 100 stars ⭐️ for excellent work thanks to them my son progressives are better each day 🙏🏼

Hapkido is a life style for my family both of my kids my 6 year old boy and my 8 year old gitl love it, i have seen huge differences in their school progress.I totally recommend this is one of my best investments.

I am SO glad I found Choes HapKiDo in Duluth! I am a part of the kick boxing class and I absolutely LOVE it. Master Foor (and all the instructors) as well as my fellow members are super supportive and welcoming. Being a larger woman, I was nervous about working out around strangers. That fear was gone before my first class was over. There is zero ego, zero judgment... everyone looks out for and helps keep each other motivated. I couldnt ask for a better school or better people! HIGHLY recommend you come check it out too, youre going to fall in love just as I did!

We love Choes HapKiDo. My 8 year old son with ADHD has been doing HapKiDo for about 2 months and has really been benefitting from it. My son seems more focused since he has started. The instructors are great with the kids. I thought about having my son do martial arts for a couple years before we finally jumped in and started at Choes. I am so glad we did, I only wish we had started sooner.

I went yesterday and absolutely love it. Cody Is a great instructor and made me feel welcome. The students that have been there for a while all was very helpful as well and never judge. Its a big difference from going to a gym where you see muscle bound men grunting and slamming weights or petite women dressed in cute workout clothes staring at you like why are you. This class has people of all shapes and sizes and everyone generally helps each other out, yes I will become addicted. Thanks Cody :)

This place is really amazing! The instructors are awesome, and work great with both kids and adults. Ive never had such a great workout, and I learned some really great self-defense techniques. I recommend trying it out! What do you have to lose?

Choes HapKiDo has children, adult and family programs. Ive been training for the last 6 years and have no intention of stopping. Between the martial art classes and kickboxing its a complete and energizing workout! The best part? Im always learning! Give it a try, you wont regret it! My friend described it best the other day.. its addictive. Come get your sweat on!

I have taken both KickBoxing and HapKiDo classes at Choes HapKiDo Martial Arts for well over a year. This is an A+ school. The school has offerings for kids and adults and even do family classes. The instructors are great working with young, adult and even older adults no matter what fitness level you are starting at. Not only do you get in shape with Choes but you learn so much about HapKiDo. Staff and members are great and make all feel like family. I cant say enough about this place.

My child loves taking classes here. The health benefits are amazing. The camaraderie shes formed with both her fellow students and her instructors makes her very happy. The instructors are nice, respectful and caring. I recommend this school everytime someone asks for Martial Arts school suggestions.

Prior to entering the building I had an appointment scheduled with the instructor shepherd. Our first impression of him was not polite, he was very rude to my children being 4 years old. My son was excited about the whole situation and he’s non verbal. The instructor told my son take your shoes off on my mat. After we went into the office to discuss further about the program he made the impression he did want to take my children due to their special need disabilities. The instructor kept telling me why my children would not want to come to his class. It’s very disappointing my family being rejected due to there disabilities. We wanted to observe the other kids praticpate and I encourage you all as parents to do the same prior to enrollment. The kids are not separated by age groups, I watched a older boy push a young girl to the wall making her dizzy. The instructor shows no displine, respect or give proper instructions to the point the kids were lost on how to follow what’s being asked. We knew firsthand our kids will not be judged so they will not register however we wanted to observe what the program intells so moving forward we can find a better fit elsewhere. We walked out the door pretty relived this was not the best fit for my twin boys. We like to have our money applied to a instructor that enjoys his job also who doesn’t lack empathy for special need kids such as my own. Best wishes to everyone!!!

My son has been here for over a year and a half now and still loves it. It was important for me to find a activity that he wouldnt lose interest and Choes HapKiDo delivered. They strive for greatness and are there for you all the time.

Our 5 year old son has been going here for 6 months and loves it. The school is very friendly and they do a lot for the kids such as movie nights. The instructors are friendly and patient with the kids but also teach them discipline. I would definitely recommend this school.

I came to HapkiDo for couple of classes and at the end I enroll three of my kids , they learn self defense , respect and confidence . I really love this place and we look forward to keep working with them !

Where do I start? I was looking for a workout that I would continue and not get bored with. My company has an onsite gym similar to a LA Fitness or Planet Fitness complete with personal trainers and a schedule of classes. I went briefly to the Zumba class, and got bored really quick and stopped going. I started coming to Choes HapKiDo Martial Arts Duluth Georgia in January 2013 and am still coming starting my 3rd year. My plan is 4 days a week and I actually feel guilty of I miss a day. I get the best workout and even though I have to drag myself out each evening, I am back the next afternoon. The instructors are great and they take the time (one-on-one if necessary) to ensure you have the correct moves. I have a blast every evening and look forward to the next day. If you want a challenge and you want to SWEAT, this is the place. See you soon.
