You learn discipline and they correct your form, they are convenient, they really share their culture with you while having fun. I did the afterschool and they were splendid!! Cant wait to come back and learn even more than what you have taught me so far!

I watched this place grow as one of the students and absolutely loved it there. I couldnt have had better teachers. :)I grew up at Modu and everyone there is very friendly and nice. I dont attend their classes anymore but there is no better Taekwondo place out there.

I joined Modu earlier this summer after being out of TaeKwonDo for a few years. I’m a 30 something year old woman. I joined for stress relief and exercise. I am out of shape, lack balance and coordination and sometimes I’m really slow. I miss the days of being fit and athletic. Nevertheless, this instructors and other students have been nothing but supportive and kind. They correct my bad form, encourage me when it is hard, and praise me when I do something exceptionally well. I highly recommend this school.

An excellent martial arts school! Master J and Master O are very focused on helping kids and adults learn Taekwondo! It takes a lot of hard work, focus, self-discipline, and determination but if you are willing to do whatever it takes to learn, the Taekwondo masters are patient with you and will help you reach your goal! I also like how they teach kids to honor and respect their parents. I give Modu Martial Arts a five star rating. They are the best Martial Arts School in Durham.

I have worked with Master Oh and Master Jeong for years (like ALOT of years) I have trained under master Oh and later worked and taught with her.. I cant recommend them more honestly. They are both very passionate about the sport and care deeply for the students.

We have been going to this studio for 3 years now and every year it just gets better and better.Not only are Master Oh and Master Jeung the nicest people, but they are incredible instructors.We first started here with our oldest son when he was 4 years old and quite unruly. The focus on self control, respect, breathing, and mental focus has been incredible for him with each and every lesson. There were times we considered other activities but there is no other activity that we have done with him that has such a passion for self control. The minute his sister was old enough to join in she happily dawned the white pants and shirt and hopped right in!We love Modu and everyone in it, and have recently started the after school program for the next school year. We are excited for it as it truly is an accessibly priced after school program that offers a wide range of activities for the kids as well as inlcuded TAquondo!Thank you Master Oh and Master Jeung for everything and we are looking forward to years to come for the whole family.They offer a free trial class for anyone who is curious, but I warn you that after they try it your child wont want to leave.

I learned Taekwondo from Master Oh and Master Jeong when they were in Virginia. They are really amazing Taekwondo masters and I can say that Master Oh and Master Jeong are the best Masters for all the students who is willing to learn Taekwondo. One of the things I really appreciate about them is that they take the time to truly work with their students to build the fundamental techniques required for actually effective martial arts learning. So many schools that I see seem content with an assembly line style approach - simply churning out belt advancement as fast as they can. I appreciate the balanced and thorough approach to physical and mental form as well as the discipline that is so important when studying martial arts.I have seen a lot of their students are doing so great in focus, discipline, behavior, courtesy, and also their Taekwondo skill.Again, I really appreciate to Master Oh and Master Jeong. We have seen so much positive growth for our boys since we started TKD with Master J and Master Oh. They learn so much in class, enjoy parents night out, and beg to go to afterschool and camp. I am so happy we made the decision to come to Modu.

Our son has grown so much since starting at Modu/Master Choi’s last fall. He’s more confident, has improved focus, and has made many new friends. I highly recommend Modu for Taekwando classes, after school, and summer camps. Master Oh and Master J are both amazing!
