Wonderful school that uses research-based methods of teaching. They go the extra mile to meet students unique needs.

We cant say enough good things about Hope Creek. They were a last resort for our family, and despite a really rocky start, they havent given up on our kid. They will make every accommodation possible to keep your kid in school, and doing their best work academically and socially. I truly dont know what our family would do without them.

Its an excellent school. Teachers who know when to have their voice be gentle or serious, and the school itself is lax, but not to the point where theyd let you fall behind. They have all kinds of amenities for any child with issues who cant go to a regular school. The most prominent of these is the calm and return room. If a child is disrupting their class, they go to an empty room to calm them down. Its a very small school with about 60 kids, ranging from K-12. If you do well and dont act up, you can do an activity of your choice, for example: cards, Legos, crafts (which can be drawing or most sorts of artsy activities) and the most popular one, outside. Sometimes you have to catch up, so you go to study hall during that time.Electives are unique and usually provide a different way of learning. Other times, it might just be a fun elective. Some electives will be like Math Games, where you play games for gift cards. Others may be more like a chocolate elective, or maybe maintenance or gardening to keep the school in shape.Students get plenty of outside time, and theres a designated time for classes to walk laps. The teachers are very personal to you because of how small the classes are, so every child has a different plan. The high school has only 14 children in it, to give you an idea of how big classes are.Pretty much all classes are held in your homeroom, unless youre at a different level of reading, math, science and foreign languages. The waiting list is long, though, and the price is high, although its worth it to be getting the help I need.If you have a child and a normal public school cant accommodate them for a certain issue, I highly recommend this school. It cant fix everything, but it helps.
