Working with Bright Horizons is great! They have been wonderful for our kids and we were more than happy with them. This review is regarding how BCBS of MN affects this child care center. If youre wondering where BCBS of MNs morals and ethics stand, in the midst of this pandemic, they just notified their on-site daycare provider (Bright Horizons) that they are closing the daycare building in 10 weeks. There is not any sort of financial challenges being relayed, just that Bright Horizons (and the families) must be out in 10 weeks. Not only does this put all those people that work at that daycare out of a job, it also leaves all those families with only 10 weeks to find new child care. Many child care centers in the area require several months to get a slot... not weeks. This daycare center provided childcare for both the community and BCBS employees. The bottom line is that BCBS does not care about partnerships or the employees of their partnering companies, the families of the community, their own employees and their families, or anyone else for that matter. They care about the bottom line and that is it. People and businesses should think twice before they partner with BCBS, consider employment there, or obtain insurance or any other product/service with them.

We absolutely love the entire staff at Bright Horizons! We have had an INCREDIBLE experience with the teachers in the Infant room, and we are eternally grateful to them for the bond they have formed with our daughter. It is so reassuring to know she is so well taken care of by teachers that genuinely care about her. They also have an amazing menu for the kids, and the facility is so nice and clean. The rooms are perfectly designed for the children based on their age, and the curriculum is outstanding. Our daughter has thrived at Bright Horizons, and we love seeing what she is learning each and every day!

A great place! We moved our daughter here a year ago when she was three, and she did extremely well with the transition. Shes now in the kindergarten prep class and is learning to write letters, numbers, and do simple math! She loves coming here and always says that she had a great day. All of the teachers are fantastic - super approachable and really care about our kids.Weve since had another baby who joined their baby room last month. Although she isnt the easiest baby, they go above and beyond for her. For example, if our baby is having a tough moment, Shannon (the Assistant Director) will take her up front with her and give her extra snuggles and cuddles. Jenna (the director) is also great! Although my older son never went here, if he is tagging along for drop off or pick up, Jenna goes out of her way to ask him about his day, will offer him a snack if we get there at snack time, etc.Its a very welcoming and family oriented place, and we feel confident in sending our kids here.

We started our two boys (ages 1 and 5) at this center early this fall and have been thrilled with the experiences so far! The teachers and directors did an amazing job helping the boys transition to the center the first few weeks. The daily communication is exceptional which has put my mind at ease. I love that I know all the details of my boys days- especially the 1 1/2 year old who cant tell me much about his day.I greatly appreciate the literacy, number sense and STEM focus in the pre-kindergarten room and feel they do a really great job of balancing those academics with the social and emotional needs of the kids. My 5 year old cannot wait to go each day, is disappointed when it is the weekend, and is never ready to leave when I pick him up- all good signs that he is loving his experience here!

This center is very eleaboratly decorated. The teachers are also very kind and respectful. We love our class teachers as they are good to our son.The center also organizes activities to make parents get together and feel at home.My favorite part is having apples to take home too. I do love a lot of things about this day care. Moreover, I love that my son can feel at home here.

I am so happy we made the switch to the Child Development Center at Blue Cross and Blue Shield. The entire staff, even those beyond my childrens teachers, know and acknowledge them each by name, genuinely care about each child and keep us as parents update on how theyre doing daily. Theres strong open communication and they take the time to ensure we are feeling comfortable with how things are going. The program is extremely well run; building is clean and spacious, they offer well rounded meals, additional activities for the kids and incorporate STEAM learning into all of their lessons.I cant say enough about our experience there; I would highly recommend to any parents looking for a caring and well run center.

I teach Spanish at this Bright Horizons and I am thoroughly impressed by the directors and the teachers. They are very professional and kind. The teachers are very caring with the children and they even participate in the Spanish classes! The students here are so much fun to teach. I teach at many childcare centers and this center stands out as one of the best!

A step above and beyond...From the security of the center itself to the professional manner the staff carry themselves: this isn’t just a daycare, its truly is a development center. Our daughter has accomplished so much since we joined the Bright Horizons family. Everyday she comes home with “homework” not only to help us bond as a family but also to show her that mom and dad know this stuff too and can help her. A jaw dropping moment for us was when we saw her hold a pencil in a three point hold after her first week enrolled. She aged 10 years in my mind once I saw that (I might have cried). Personally for our family we see proof that she is retaining the lesson plans on a daily basis. At Bright Horizons we see results and we are able to work with staff so easily to make sure our little girl has the best chance at conquering the road she has ahead of her.

Switched Providers!!This place cares more about their employees feelings than that of the children who are enrolled here. The remaining women who work here are cliquey and inexperienced. The value, or cost, no longer matches the services provided.Daughter loved it there, was there for a little over three years. I can see that she is learning and comprehending most of what is being taught daily/weekly. Most of the faculty is solidly on on-point day-to-day, and everyone is allowed a bad day here and there; were only human of course. That being said. My appreciation for the center as a whole as significantly dropped since the new center director, Jenna Farrell, has been taken on for the position. The faculty turnover ratio has increased, primary teachers are not with their primary students when parents come and retrieve their children, and blatantly being called a liar by the director herself when bringing up said issues; these are only a few of the on going issues with this center in particular.I dont think that Bright Horizons is a company that is failing the children at this location. I know it is the center director, and I could point to the various positions of leadership in my own experience to point out her flaws, and there are several in-house faculty members that would be far and away better at executing the position and the duties of Center Director at Bright Horizons Child Development Center at Blue Cross Blue Shield of MN.

It is really hard to express in words how grateful and blessed our family is. Our daughter would not be where she is today, sending a huge thank you to all the staff at BCBS Child Development Center. Since my daughter was 10 weeks old, and born pre-mature, she has grown into the most lovable and smartest 3 year old yet. She is learning, developing, growing, communicating, listening, helping, and continues to do so. Her social skills are superb and she is genuinely a sweet and caring girl. She loves all her teachers and friends. She still remembers her infant teacher and all the staff are amazing. Please don’t pay attention to bad reviews for this center, this place is truly, by far the best care for our child. The staff are unique, talented, caring and love their children they are with every day, for many hours each week. Every night before bed, we talk about the day at school and I promise you, there are no bad things said. It makes me so happy to hear her day; what and who she played with, her activities, books read, songs sung, etc.. I will be quite sad when our daughter enters Kindergarten and we have to saygood-bye to everyone there. They have been kind, courteous, accommodating and have shown us their best, at going above and beyond to give us the best experience we can get. BCBS Child Development center has provided a positive impact for our whole family and we will never forget that.

My son has had horrible treatment at this facility. Last year he acted very afraid of one teacher, then he displayed unusual behaviors at home that when asked where did he learn this from, he accused that teacher. When i brought up these allegations towards the teacher, she was removed from the 2-year-old rooms. But, she was moved up to the 3-year-old room and i was told that she had to attend more classes as a remediation. This year, he got moved into her classroom and the same angry temper tantrums and accusations from my son about this woman arises. The facility did nothing. What is worse, when my son has a mark and he says another child did it, they deny it. But, whenever another child is hurt, my child is held responsible. I have only had one other situation in my life that was as upsetting as this entire experience and that was my divorce.
