Mez is an excellent instructor. He will guide exactly where you need to focus on your driving for passing the road test. He is very professional and an extremely nice gentleman. I had not driven for 8 years and when he took my first session he knew exactly where I lacked and with one more session of training, I was able to pass my test. He gave me confidence and he prepared me extremely well for my road test. No one could have done a better job than him. I would surely recommend him. He is the best.

I had been trying to pass my driving test for quite some time now. After failing a few times I found out about Mez from one of my friends.Mez taught a lot of techniques that helped me drive better and eventually pass my driving test. I hired Mez (Sunrise Driving School-Eagan, Minnesota) for six hours of behind the wheel training. My wife Julia (Rongxin Xu) had just failed her driving test for the fourth time. I did not know what to do. I found Mez. My wife is Chinese so I wanted to make sure she felt comfortable with and could communicate with her driving instructor in English. Mez did that.Julia really liked and learned from Mez. He was patient and kind. If Julia made a mistake they would pull over and discuss what she did wrong and how to correct it. He also told her what would be required on the road test and would tell her the number of points she would gain or lose onthe different parts of road test they practiced. He gave Julia confidence in her ability to drive.The night before the road test Mez texted me and said he felt Julia had a 98% chance of passing the road test if she did not go through a stop sign or drive in the wrong lane. This gave me confidence. THANKS TO MEZ, JULIA PASSED HER ROAD TEST.If I had to do it again, I would probably let my wife drive on her permit with me for a couple months to get her comfortable with the car and driving. I MIGHT EVEN RECOMMEND HIRING SUNRISE DRIVING SCHOOL EVEN BEFORE TAKING THE FIRST ROAD TEST OR AFTER FAILING THE FIRST TIME. It would have saved me a lot of time and trouble. He does not text nor call to advise that he will be late. After 30 mins I texted him and ask if he was on his way. No response. He finally call after 1 hour. He said he will return the money I paid in advance but he hasn’t. His advice and training is okay. He yelled at me for not going fast on the highway and keep distracting me with comments like “look at that dog, look at that baby, there is a garage sale you want to buy something” I understand he wanted to be friendly but that Is a distraction!!!!

This is the best instructor ever! Im happy that I chose him for my behind wheel training. He is very patient and professional. If you want to pass your test on your first try choose Mez he is the best...

I wanted an instructor to get my son ready for the driving test and Sunshine driving school did a great job of making sure he was ready. Parents you also need to make sure your kids get enough time behind the wheel and build good habits. We highly recommend Sunshine Driving School!!!

So I passed today! :D I just got home from my test, and I did a wonderful job with the help of Mez!

I had absolutely no experience driving. At 32 I thought I was never going to pass I failed my test 4 times and needed to find an instructor after that. I finally passed on the fifth time (I literally tested everywhere Eagan, Plymouth, Arden Hills which I do not recommend they were kinda rude at Arden) finally passed on an open road test in Anoka which I recommend its easier. I aced 90 degree and final park my parallel park was a pass but wide. I highly recommend the sunrise driving school. And the cost is very good.

I learned how to drive safely and effectively from Mez. He is a great instructor and person. In all my lessons I learned something new -- Mez started from basic driving maneuvers and challenged me to tougher situations as lessons progressed. His tips on parallel and 90 degree parking are unparalleled. I literally started from not knowing what parking brake is to passing the driving test in the very first attempt with performing all driving maneuvers in one shot during the test. Moreover, Mez made me a confident driver as well in the road. I would highly recommend Surnise Driving School if anyone wants to be a good driver.

Mez was awesome! He is very knowledgeable, professional and honest. My daughter was very nervous initially, but after taking 3 classes with Mez, her confidence improved and she passed the driving test.

Very much pleased with Sun Rise Driving School. I took three classes with Mr. Mez and even I was confident after taking first class. My instructor Mr. Mez is very helpful, and he taught me everything not only to pass the road test but to become a good driver. I passed my road test at first attempt. He always arrived on time and spent 2 hours in each class. I took the same car for the road test which gave me more confident as I use the same car for practice. Nothing but trouble from this instructor. Charged me different rates than my friend who used them. Also was pretty rude. Would not recommend.

Mez is an experienced instructor who will not only help you pass the test but also make you a safer driver. His car equipped to make it easier for you to park during the test. He was very accommodating while scheduling the lessons and was on time.

Mez has been an amazing teacher. I had no driving experience prior to joining sunrise driving school and I’m thrilled to pass the road test on the very first attempt. I thought I’d need 10 hours of driving lessons but Mez made it easy for me and I just took 8 hours. He knows what he needs to teach and how to pace the lessons. Not just teaching, Mez is great at pointing out our mistakes and areas of improvements. He also knows the exam weightage criteria and stresses on important things like lane change and signaling.. It was really fun to learn. I made last minute adjustments to my learning schedules and Mez never got irritated and accommodated time as per my needs . I would definitely recommend Mez for anyone new in Minneapolis. Money well spent!!!

Mez gave BTW lessons to my wife. He is nice person but doesnt come to pickup on scheduled time. I am very punctual person. My wife took 6 hours with him. Every time he was late for more than 30 min from scheduled pickup time, and i hated that. We had to rearrange our other commitments because of him coming late.The suggestion for Mez: Please give some extra time when scheduling your appointments as the next person doesnt wait for you while you are stuck in traffic or driving from far distance and then you have to contact then for getting late.

The second person in our household got the driving instruction and we are very happy and satisfied with the skill and instruction we got. My son passed the road test on the first try. And he told me here and there some of the valuable skills he got from Mez. Keep the good work and thank you very much and I recommend Sunrise driving school for anyone who looking to acquire a driving skill.

Mr. Mez is very helpful and friendly instructor. His lessons have helped me in not only getting license but also making me better driver on road of Minnesota. Above being excellent instructor, He is very accommodating to student schedule and charges very economically.

I rarely write bad reviews but the experience I had with this establishment was horrendous. First, its just one guy who owns and runs the school. Now when youre looking for a driving school, you look for someone who can calm your nerves and help with your driving skills but this guy can push your buttons so hard that even an experienced driver would go crazy. I have been driving for a while now with my international license and I hired him to get a US license - usual wait time was too long. No doubt I cleared the test but the mandatory 1 hour training that you have to do with this sketchy person was a total nightmare. It is tough to understand him with his strong accent and he would ask you suddenly to change 2 lanes to take a left or a right. If you try to take your time, he would repeat same lines multiple times in his arrogant voice and aggressively try to control the wheel - I have a scratch on my hand to prove it. Finally, he would make you pay an upfront deposit - NEVER DO THAT and also will ask you to pay the rest BEFORE the actual test so that he can screw you over at the end by not dropping you home. Other few things I remember - he asked me to keep moving when there was a pedestrian crossing the road. He was in some sort of hurry but I didnt move and he became defensive when I told him I wouldnt until the person crosses the road. There was another person in the car when he came to pick me up and made 2 random stops on the way to run some of his personal errands. Also, its funny but he asked me multiple times how much I earn and followed that up with various other rude questions.

The instructor was very helpful and friendly. I havent practiced driving other than just 10hours of his class and following his instructions I was able to get my license.Thank you.I recommend this driving school to others.
