My second child is about to graduate from here. A very good school. My oldest daughter graduated about 2 yrs ago and has been working for Akron Childrens hospital ever since.

Ohio Valley College of Technology is changing my life for the better! Not only am I furthering my education with teachers who truly enjoy their jobs, but the students are just as amazing. Were one big family! Coming to this school was one of the best decisions Ive ever made.

I have attended other Colleges, but at OVCT, I have to say The Teachers are so helpful and willing to work with you. The over all experience has been Wonderful. I would recommend to anyone and of all ages. Everyone welcomes you with open arms and then you become FAMILY ❣️❣️

The “Jeans to Scrubs” was an amazing experience. All of the teachers and camp councilors were very knowledgeable. They gave a lot of nursing tips for us future nurses!

The nursing program admission process is very easy and Donna will help you to understand the process and all of the requirements to get into the program. Becca will help you to get all of the financial aid requirements completed to get your education funded. All of the nursing instructors are great! They spend alot of time helping the students and assuring that we fully understand the many different topics covered throughout the program. The evening and weekends class/clinical schedule is prefect for people like me who work!

Greatest decision of my life to go to this college. I met outstanding people and the instructors are amazing! I love the hands on experience and opportunities that I was able to get at this college.

Loved going to this school! And I was able to get a job just a couple weeks after graduating as a certified medical assistant. Definitely looking fowarded to going back to get my nursing licenses!

I am a full time student here and they have made it possible for me to work full time and still have time for my son. The teachers help you in so many ways, as well as the rest of the administration! Ive only been going to Ohio Volley College of Technology for seven months, but it is one of the best decisions that I have ever made! My time here has made me have confidence in myself and has helped me grow as a person! I plan to return to OVCT when I am done for the nursing program.

The instructors are very nice and extremely helpful if you have any questions. The classes are smaller so that you can have a better learning experience, and the curriculum is exactly what you need to make sure you are job ready when you receive your degree. OVCT is a great choice for making your dream job a reality!

The nursing camp “Jeans to Scrubs” was an amazing experience and OVCT was so accommodating the entire time. I learned a lot about the campus and the camp was very eye opening.

The instructors were awesome at OVCT and made learning seem so easy and really enjoyable. I was truly sad when it was over. I think it is an awesome school with awesome people working there and attending it.

A great place to receive a good education. OVCTs nursing program is perfect for someone with a busy life but in need of a degree. They work with there students and have amazing staff.

If you’re a hands on learner, instead of just listening to lecture or reading a book OVCT is the school for you. I absolutely love it and am earning my 2nd degree here.

I went to the jeans and scrub camp located in ovct. It was one of the most exciting expierences I’ve ever had. I learned so much in the little time I was there. The mentors were very helpful in times of need and explained things very thoroughly. I couldn’t have asked for a better opportunity. A big thank you to all!

Ohio Valley College of Technology has smaller classes, so there is more one on one time with the instructors. All of the faculty and staff are very knowledgeable and extremely friendly.

Ohio Valley College of Technology is a great place to learn. Everyone of the Instructors are always willing to help. I have encountered a few instructors that have gone over an above to help myself as well as other fellow students to succeed. I appreciate all that they do and am very greatful for them. I have learned a great deal in my field of study. I would recommend coming to OVCT to anyone who is wanting a great education and wanting to be part of a wonderful family.

I love OVCT! I learned so much and got lots of hands on experiences! The teachers are wonderful and will help you anyway possible! If it wasnt for me going to OVCT I wouldnt have landed the great job I have today!

Do Not GoThis Place is horrible.What a waste of peoples time. Ask around before you think Im wrongThey will not get you a job and then when you finally land a good job in a completely different field they want you to go in to fill out paper work. For what, to say you got me that job? No thanks.

I went to OVCT for the MA program. My experience at OVCT was very positive. My number one concern when going to school is knowing that if anything happens they will have my back and during all the situations I went through when attending school they were there to help me out and accommodate my classes so it would be easier for me to finish them without having to drop out school. The staff and instructors are very nice and they help everyone in any way they can. They are kind and friendly and your success is there number one priority. I would drive 1 hr to school and 1 hr back home but it was worth it because I wouldnt find a school with such amazing people near my town. With a person like me with social anxiety and having English as a second language completing a program like Medical Assisting is really a success but I also know that I wouldnt be able to finish the program without the help I received from OVCT.

Got my Associates degree in Business administration and also received a Diploma. School is great. I loved it.... thot about going back and earning an Associates in Medical Office... already have most of the courses done due to Business....

First the pros. (Nursing program). The admissions process was very easy and smooth for a first time college student who had no idea what they were doing, I must say, I loved the ease of the admissions process. The nursing program is a 2 year ASN program. Pricing compared with other schools was also inline. The campus is beautiful, well kept, and always staffed. The President is very easy to talk to should any problems arise. A few faculty members of the nursing program definitely go above and beyond to make sure you are doing your best.Cons: and this is for ANY student. There is a paragraph in your contract that states they have the right to terminate you from the school for any reason whatsoever. Also, the contract limits your legal options in the event of a discrepency. Basically, you are bound to arbitration through the grievance process. The mediator is paid by the school, and so is the arbitration company, so, you can only guess whos side theyre going to be on, even if it is supposed to be unbiased. The saying goes you dont bite the hand that feeds you. Please be sure to read through the entire contract, and have it read by an attorney, and explained to you by an attorney, before you sign the contract. Furthermore, please be sure to read the online catalog in its entirety before signing your contract. It is located under consumer information on their website. The reality is, they can terminate you if you sneeze wrong, or do something they dont necessarily agree with......scary....especially because youre left with student loans after they force this action against you.Other cons I experienced was a turnover of staff members. Some were just thrown in there without ever having a chance to read the curriculum, or create their own lesson plans and such. Others ended up teaching classes that they didnt particularly want to teach (which she made well known), which reflected in class, and affected the learning process of students. When asked what chapters a test is over, an instructor should be able to tell you. Also, the class size and faculty is a very small number which was a selling point to me, but ended up being the opposite. In a perfect world, everyone gets along, staff members dont have cliques or act unprofessional at times, but it was quite the opposite. As with anywhere, you will always have staff members who do or say things that are unprofessional, which seems to be a problem with such a small school and was my experience at this school with a couple of the staff members. However, as stated above, the ones that go above and beyond are beyond awesome.Another thing I didnt like is the lack of structure concerning the core classes. One core class the attitude was oh, this is a core class, so open book tests are fine whereas another core class completely took up your entire life, leaving little room to focus on the nursing classes, which I feel are more important considering the career path chosen. There is no middle ground here. Also, if you plan on getting your bachelors degree, you will most likely have to take these core classes again, as the majority of colleges will not accept credits from here (very few do, which limits your options)My class started with a little more than 40 people, and in just two semesters I believe it had shrunk to nearly 25, with less than that now (approximately).In conclusion, just do your homework on the various different schools in the area and by all means, have your attorney read and explain before you sign here. I would also ask to sit in on a few classes, and get opinions from current students as to the pros and cons of the school.Because of my particular experience with this schoool, I cannot recommend it to anyone, but that is my biased opinion based on certain actions that took place.
