The place is nice and big but it needs to be updated. My sister had my nieces birthday there. The staff was friendly but we had to do everything ourselves; set the tables, serve the pizza and drinks to the kids.

This is one of the greatest rinks that ive gone to so far, I usually go from 6:30 to 10:30 but I want to see if its as crowded during other times than it is during this time. Definitely recommend

I dont know if they sold the business since I have been here last. But the kids skating, are out of control. I have come here a lot and never have see the horse play that I am seeing right now. There are staff in pink shirt standing near the rink but they havent stopped any of it. Its a real shame two months ago the staff skating the rink would be all over these kids horse playing so it would be safe for all of us.

Very clean place, nice floor and decent service.My only real issue was there was a lot of un unaccompanied children and a physical fight broke out between two Yong boys during our visit...I did not see any signs stating that a minor needs to be accompanied by an adult...

This is definitely a family place during the day!.great place for teens to hang at night. Hasnt changed since I was a kid, could use some upgrades. But still recommend.. so much fun!

The rink is really big with a disco ball & lights. There’s an arcade, lockers, clean restrooms & snack bar too! Make sure to bring your own headphones because the music isn’t that great. The WiFi doesn’t work so be sure to download your music before you get there! All in all a great rink.

The roller rink itself is great...my biggest issue was that at 11:30am on a saturday morning, during an 8 year old birthday party, they were playing explicit music...The first song literally dropping the f-word, I assumed that maybe they had the wrong playlist on from the night before. Appauled, I went and spoke with the girl at the counter and asked if they could please play the clean version since there were multiple kids birthday parties happening, again, on saturday morning...she said yes, no problem and apologized for the f-bomb being dropped. After that encounter I was hopeful that the music would be changed to the clean versions, but they were not. I then heard s*it in multiple songs among many other innappropriate scenarios being blasted in the music. I understand if you want to have Friday and Saturday night skates for older kids and adults with the explicit version, but on a saturday morning/afternoon? During childrens parties? My son wanted to have his b-day party here in June, but Im extremely disappointed and that will no longer be happening. Well pick a more family friendly place! Oh...and only about 1/2 the people wore a mask, eventhough they say its mandatory...no one said a word.

Floor is nice and smooth to skate on which is a great thing. But there is No DJ so the music sucks which is very hard to skate to. it’s way overpriced to not have a DJ. Every now and then they allow customers to request a song but 9/10 it won’t get played. A majority of the skaters has to wear headphones/ AirPods because this rink does not play skating music The first step to improvement is HIRING A DJ ! Other than the music it’s a fun place !

Staff is amazing, let us add two lessons and Barbara is patient and kind. Great afternoon out, they also kept place very clean!

THIS PLACE IS ANAZING AND INCREDIBLE. THEY GOT ROLLER SKATES AND ROLLERBLADES. BUT FOR ALL OF TYE ADVANCED SKATERS YOU CANT GI BACKWARDS, HOCKEY STOP, OR DO TRICKS. THERE IS AN ADVANCED SESSION FOR THAT. BUT OVERALL THIS RINK IS GREAT I LOVE IT HERE.👍😁

We had my daughters birthday party here last year. What an amazing time. She wants her party there again this year. Reasonable pricing, HUGE skate area in and out of the party room. The staff was absolutely wonderful. They were so kind and caring even to the children. It wasnt like they were just pretending to be nice to the adults. They made my daughter feel like a QUEEN for a day. Needless to say, Im booking again this year. Not to mention, they stay on top of the mess the kids created. I couldnt have done it better myself! Thank you so much for everything Big Wheels staff!!!!

Blast from the past I grew up coming her and having so much fun! I took my daughter here a few days ago we enjoyed ourselves, the place still looks the same which I love brought back old memories! Can’t wait to have my daughter birthday party here !

My 4 year old daughter loves it! She wants to have her birthday party there this year! She knows alll the top hit songs that are played and she dances while she’s skating!

We had our 2 daughters birthday parties here on Saturday. It was a great facility and they were very well organized in setting up the party and doing a full party clean up for us. The price was super reasonable and all the food was great. The rink itself is also very large, well maintained, and impressive. The party area also had its own small skate area for the little ones who werent as sure on their skates. I highly recommend it for a birthday party function!

I love the place i go every week with a bunch of friends

We didn’t know what to expect being out-of-towners, but we were so pleasantly surprised. The place was started in 1977 and the decor remains much as it was in the beginning. However, it was very well maintained and clean as a whistle. The effect was that I felt transported back to the 1980s heyday and got to show the kids a bit of what things were like for me at their age. The people were all very nice and made no fuss when we needed a bit of help getting the skates right. They were very reasonable and opened up a bit early to let you make the most of the skate session time.

My daughter really wanted to go here for her birthday and we were all very disappointed. My mom and I each paid half of the $150 fee. We were told it included 1(only 1) slice of pizza for 12 kids. We received 8 slices and had to pay for another pizza. We were told we’d get $30 in tokens. We received 12 ticket that were only good for two tokens each($6). We were told parents skate free but then we were told we had to use one of the 12 wristbands we received for the kids or we had to pay. If you have people paying $150 for practically nothing give them more bands for the parents! Also band or no band you had to pay extra for inline skates! Are you kidding me? There were two other parties and instead of spearing us out across the back room they packed us all together on one side. There’s so much more but you get the idea. I’d give them zero stars if I could.

Great place to skate with family and friends

I’ve been coming here since i was a kid and i’ve always loved this place! the food isn’t great but the atmosphere is amazing. always my favorite hang out spot :)

Super fun place for all ages. Have had my childrens birthday parties there, attended special holiday events, and gone just for regular skate. Roller skating is a great way to stay active and have fun. Always a good time at Big Wheel.

It was really good in the beginning, I had a birthday party there and it was really fun, but once we started to end it, my other friends were pretty sad that we had to leave. So my mother went over to a young worker and asked if we can stay longer to skate and we wouldn’t mind paying, she said of course. My friends were calling their parents to let them know they were gonna stay longer, then an older woman(about 60+) came and said you guys have to start leaving. We explained to her that we already asked for extra time. She still said no you have to go. She even said she was nice enough to let us have a party here..what do you mean?? We paid for this and we could’ve went somewhere else?? Anyway my other friends left and my two girlfriends stayed a bit longer with me to wait for their parents. We went to go sit somewhere else to call and wait. Then she went over again and said You guys can stay here only a little, which was weird that she just yelled at us not even 5 minutes ago. My friends parents were taking pretty long since this place was in Wilkes-Barre so we waited and talked quietly.It was like we weren’t even there. Then not even 10 minutes later that SAME lady said get out. We said we’re sorry ma’m but we’re waiting for our parents. You can’t just kick us young kids out. We’re just sitting here, not being loud, waiting. Then she said alright I can take your money after everything was cleaned. ITS LIKE SHE FORGOT WHAT WE JUST SAID TO HER MULTIPLE TIMES!! SHE DOESNT EVEN CARE ABOUT HER CUSTOMERS, JUST MONEY!!We were furious. We told her AGAIN we were waiting for our parents and she said get out I don’t care. We STORMED out of that place, my other friend wanted to curse at her but I said no😂 By the way I’m 13 and I kept my cool all the way. We left and waited for our parents in the cold. I like this place A LOT, but I wish it had a different owner. You should NEVER treat your customers like that and you should be grateful that they came to your place. You wouldn’t get a PENNY if you had no customers.

My family and I really enjoyed it here. The prices were reasonable and their employees were very polite. They had healthy drink options such as Gatorade and waters. The music was great and varied of all different kinds of genres. Overall, my experience at the big wheel was great and I would love to go again.

Best skating experience ever. You wont be disappointed. My first time on old school skates and I couldnt have had more fun. What a blast. My wife and I were having the time of our lives. Will definitely be back one day.

Place is poorly supervised and is becoming more of a hangout than skaters. Management seems to be oblivious. Used to be great family fun place but it has changed. would not recommend for families with young children. I don’t think age requirement without an adult is being enforced. It’s become a drop off and hangout for unruly teens and younger. Someone is going to hurt or a serious incident.

This place is great. Prices are great, service is great, and its never too crowded. They also dont have too many ______ only skates or weird rules, so you can spend most of the time skating and get a good workout here.

We went for adult skate and was told we could request songs. We arrived by 8pm to skate. When I wrote down 3 songs I saw 2 other songs in front of mine. Those songs never played.I asked 3 times. It was two teen girls that ran the DJ booth... they picked the 2 songs off the whole list that they wanted to hear and the rest was probably there music..AND there was only 11 people skating. How hard is it to follow a play list when the theres no one there..??

I will always love this rink as Ive been going there for years during my childhood. Sometimes Ill go for parties now and again and its still the same. Great place for parties, Saturday nights with the family and more.

Nice place! The girls loved it. Staff friendly and helpful. We went there for a bday party😊 the kids were given 2 tokens each...I think it should have been 4...considering it only paid for 1 game on the arcade side. Thats the only reason I gave it 4 stars....1 game makes kids want to do more...leaving it up to parents to pay out!lol

Great place to have a birthday party, or a day out with the kids. Not only are the prices reasonable, but you can rent inline or regular skates on the premesis. There is a snack bar where the kids can spend their money on various snacks or fun toys. There is a big back room where all of the parties are set up, which come with pizza and soda. Music reverberates around the room due to the high beamed ceiling and lights of different colors poor into the skating rink making it more exciting for the kids.

Inline skates - went through 4 pairs. 2 had broken straps. Other two felt like knifes stabbing my tibias. Service - uninterested, just put my broken skates back on the shelf for them to give to the next customer...

My kids go every day

I play roller hockey there, and it is a great program, both the youth and adult leagues. When I am not playing hockey, it’s still a great place, great prices, great staff. Definitely family friendly.

I love the place. The staff is always nice. Their are activities that people can do other than skating like the arcade.

My son is attending summer camp there this year and he absolutely LOVES it. I really appreciate the staff for giving my son a great summer and teaching him how to skate !

So fun. My kids love it there. Theres an mini acrade, a roller skating rink, place to get food, you even can get ice skating lessons. The partys are great too.

It was a good experience up until the girls in the booth denied me for wanting to play a song. I was told to wait 15 minutes and soon thereafter a guy walks up hands the girls in the booth a dollar and requests a song. I didnt even tell them what I wanted played.
