Nope !! Nope ! Transferred here from a well known, expensive, highly ranked university in Philadelphia to save money for when I get my masters. The professors are horrible, the students seem slow (no offense) and it’s just a poorly run school. I had 55 credits from my old university transfer over. I realized a year later that they still had me listed as a sophomore when I had more than 60 credits. So I should have been listed as a junior. NOPE! They said I needed more credits to gain a junior status. So I guess 60 credits at this university is still considered a sophomore. No one outside of these backwoods knows about ESU and it will just leave a stain on my resume. I rather spend an extra $40,000 at my old university than go here. I’ll take my chances with the debt. On my way back to Philly. Bye 👋

I never tire of returning to my alma mater. Each time I visit, the university never fails to impress. Campus is always clean and there is always something new to see. Many new facilities and projects have really brought the campus to life.

ESU is a state university with a nice campus and many fine degree programs. I attended here in the late 80s/early 90s and found it to be filled with caring faculty. Currently, I work in a Computing Service department. Might be biased.

One of worst experiences of my life. Transfer student from North Hampton community College. Lasted 2.5 yrs at ESU and dropped out after finding out that I needed another 30 credits to graduate all while staff preparing me for graduation. POORLY ADVISED. Its like they intentionally kept telling me to take classes after classes that werent being applied to my major. I was even told by one employee at the financial aid office that an individual was fired for wrongful advising of numerous students (me being one). Higher up staff is horrible and discriminate against anyone who isnt Caucasian. Even after complaining that I have been taking the wrong classes for a yr straight no one would listen. Dropped out with 132 credits. Imagine if I did the other 30 they said I needed. I would of graduated with 162 credits with a 4 yr degree.Patiently waiting for class action lawsuit to come up one day for this scam/profit school.

Good school! 2017 graduate with BS in Math. The Math department and Economics department have instructors who care and who advise you job opportunities in your field of study as you approach graduation. You really learn in these departments. Parking is not so great in the beginning of each semester and really doesn’t improve until they start ticketing people. People just park wherever. Which this school has the Masters in Statistics program and I would have continued on here because I know the teaching style and the instructors are very helpful and are always willing to help if they are in their office regardless if they are having office hours. This I have found to be true across all departments.

As an exchange student I will always remember my time at ESU.It changed my life. I met many people that are now good friends of mine.Teachers are great (especially Mrs Blasini with whom I kept in touch), the administration is really nice and they were always able to guide me whenever needed. Also, the campus is lovely. And Main Street..... you know it ;)NYC is not so far away, same for Philadelphia.ESU, I think about you every single day of my life and I truly miss you.

Graduate professor expertise and experience are excellent. They are more than resourceful and willing to answer questions. Small class sizes and personal attention are key to research oriented graduate student success. You get out of college what you put in.

Decent school, nothing amazing - if youre a resident of PA its a quality education for a good price. Its a homely little campus. I wouldnt waste my money here if I was out of state though.Parking is bad, esp. near the Sci-Tech center. Youll need to show up around 8:30 to get a good spot, unless you want to walk 5 miles.

The science dept never answers the phone and even leaving a message with a phone number, they still dont return your calls. Wth!? I was thinking of transferring from Hofstra University in Long Island, NY to ESU, because I was planning on moving to Stroudsburg. Now I can see why that would be a grave mistake.

The staff is horrible. I was in a serious abusive relationship and my abuser send them an email withdrawing me and they went ahead and did so with no verbal consent or anything. Now they are telling me I withdrew when I didn’t. I even have police reports and domestic violence write ups. The staff is a bunch of heartless soul and now I am being held accountable, when no verbal consent was given.

Definitely not for adult learners. If you have a full time job and family, ESU not for you. They dont have a variety of schedule, and want you to be a full time student. I originally enrolled just for 6 credits. On the first week of new semester they added another 6 credits to my schedule without my consent. Of course that messed up my record since I had to withdraw from them.Im not there anymore, moved to not-traditional students friendly college.

Never seen a more depressing college a depressing. Non-descript bunch of buildings, with only a Wawa and a Pizzaria within immediate walking distance. I can see where drinking is the extend of social life. It is a town that has been going down hill rapidly for years and is not a safe town.

ESU is a great school and the students show a tremendous amount of school spirit! (Just drive around and they are all wearing ESU!) ESU is also a great value for the education received, especially when compared to NCC. Like everywhere is this area now, parking is a real issue and they really need a parking deck.

College is what you make it. Esu is great! I was a freshman coming in as an early start now its a year later and Im a sophomore with a good gpa and 7 credits ahead of most sophomores because of the early start. My official 1st freshman semester I slacked a lot because I was tired and felt as though I didnt have no break because I came to college 2 days after I graduated HS. But after winter break I was refreshed and my grades had gone up. The professors are all great and they really work with you! Free tutors for any subject is great as well. Its great to have academic advisors! The food is ok. I love the union personally! Were pretty close to Walmart and Kmart (walking distance) or catch the shuttle, your choice) We have a mall and outlets. Wawa at the end of campus open 24hrs. Cabs are pretty cheap to take you almost anywhere but I prefer uber (cheaper). Almost every place delivers to campus (cluck u is the best). Trackside is a good place to eat. Main Street is cool to (simstas on a Thursday night is poppin). Movies in the mall and daily campus activities. Nail salon, hair salon, dollar store. Medical center on campus, cvs around the corner and hospital right at the end of campus (Which is great for me because Of my cronic asthma). Resident halls are pretty cool. I just couldnt live in traditional, wasnt my thing. Mentors are great. Over all esu is a good school to want to attend!

You know, Im not going to bash the school regardless of my bad experiences because ..they are experiences Im sure everyone will have in college. Weve all had our issues with enrollment services and on campus parking. I want to go to a school in a big city..so that automatically knocked me out of the ESU fan club. Im also a commuter, so I drive there everyday, I wake up earlier than some on campus students just to be in class on time. But then again thats all commuters in the US. ESU is for anyone who is easliy going to take everything there given to and use it positively. sometimes, there wont be the oppurtunitites youre looking for because this is a smaller college. you can not compare this school to Penn State or Temple. This is ESU and its just not the same. Its smaller, its every strong on athletics, its in the mountains, and its very cheap. Cheap is why I go there..no other reason. Im looking to love my education but I dont at ESU. Ive even met some really cool people..but thats not even enough for me to be passionate about going there. Idk..its your choice. make sure you do something you love and always work hard. success is determined by the quality of the person, not the institution. I read that on facebook lol..but its still true.

This university had a racist amount, especially the Gulf, that was not normal! A person close to me, diligent, studied computer science in it and wronged him a lot and did not even negate him! But he corrected himself and moved along and then graduated with distinction, MashaallahThis University doesn’t deserve even a star !!
