Former student, here. Class of 2016.Youre better off sending your child elsewhere.The teachers are good and qualified, however, its the students that ruin the integrity of the school. The security doesnt seem to be able to keep a handle on things, and controlling the students is obviously a difficult task. Fights happen semi-often. It gets worse as the weather warms up.Its difficult for a student who is responsible and there to learn to receive the attention they need when 80% of the class acts a fool. They have rules in place that arent followed often. I hope the school turns around and does better than what Ive experienced.

This school is terrible the teachers dont know how to teach and the kids act like wild animals and think they can do what they want to do. They get suspended but they still act like idiots when they come back from suspension.They may change the school names but that dont work they need to straighten the kids out thats what needs to be done.And before spending thousands of dollars on the schools names why dont they spend the thousands on new classroom equipment and make better students and take the bad ones out.This is a big issue with this school district and thats why East Detroit is falling because the kids need discipline for once.I do not recommend this school to any parent.

Horrible school. Step daughter was punched in the stomach by a boy. She went to the office after I called the school and the sent her back to class. They never called her back to the office to handle the situation.

This school is trash the students are bad and all they do is fight and the principal mr.roberts don’t do nothing about it and the assistant principals either the grading system is horrible and then they make you pay for report cards like who does that and they quick to expelled the kids who live in Eastpointe then the kids who come from Detroit who start most of the drama at this school and the kids smoke weed in the bathroom and the teachers can’t teach I struggled with my grades in that school THIS IS THE WORST SCHOOL IN MACOMB COUNTY ‼️

I love this school, the Staff and students are great a good school to send your kids

I was a freshman last year and i did not like it at all it was nonthing but drama. Theres rules but only 10% followed them. U can give teachers respect but they dont give it back because they lable u the same as everyone else Imma try again this year. Wish me luck

East Detroit high school is one of the best schools I know .they have a lot of sports and a lot of activitys.you enroll yur son or daughter into this school.

The school is not fundamentally administering proper safety measures for students at the school and we are very unhappy with the school and will be transferring my son to a more profound school where administrators care about the children safety and educational future. Please do not register your child at this school....

I like to eat alot of food sit on the couch and feel like garbage

It was some good times there but to much fighting and bad drama you guys need to be happy to supporting your teacher and friends around the world here.

The teachers know what theyre doing, but rules need to be enforced more. There are students who follow directions, but many others who dont, and this is coming from a current Senior.

This school is so annoying. And its terrible I dont even know why my parents sent me here .
