I reached out to Eaton Academy about my autistic son attending their school April 2021. I explained that he has autism and he attends therapy. I was told everything was fine the lady even told me about how her bestfriend son was diagnosed with Autism and hes doing well in class. She told me shell give me a call as soon as application became available. Although I never received a call back I went up to the school to complete the application in August. Fast forward to September me and my husband were called in to turn in the paperwork required proof of Id, income, health appraisal, iep, ect. Tamara Chatman said Great hes enrolled and the next step would be for him to do a session with us. After the session Tamara Chatman called me and advised Tristan cannot attend if he cant stay the full day...He would not be allowed to attend his Aba Therapy during school hours. I spoke with his Aba coordinator who stated that she has never heard of students not being able to leave early to get their special needs services but regardless shell work around their hours. After I called Tamara Chatman back after two days she said Oh thats fine let me just let my director know she called me back and told me because he lives in Detroit he cannot attend...he will to be placed on a waiting list. Youll never think your child would be discriminated against because of his disability but Eaton Acamdey they will!

Im registering my kid my first day here and the main office feels like hell no air whatsoever not even a fan . Its 84 degrees outside !!!!!! Theres only 1 damm chair in the office during registration
