I completed my childhood dream of finishing my PPL last week. The community of instructors are really great and I enjoyed getting to know each of them. Inflight has plenty of planes and scheduling was a breeze. Because there are always planes available, I have been able to get my entire family up this week with last minute decisions to jump on the schedule because the weather was nice.

Oh…my…gosh! I took my very first discovery flight with Inflight today and truly no words can do this experience justice! My instructors name was Mark P; he was absolutely amazing! Very knowledgeable, kind, and had some (kinda funny) dad jokes for me haha! He made sure I felt comfortable the whole time and responded to every question I had with clear and concise answers. Caught myself smiling from ear to ear multiple times…..! If you are considering taking your first discovery flight- 1. DO IT! And 2.definitely request Mark! Thank you Inflight & Thank you Mark!

After 15 years away from flight training, I decided to change paths and pursue a career in aviation. Inflight Pilot Training did an amazing job getting me comfortable behind the controls again. I recently earned my commercial certificate at Inflight. All of the staff, instructors, facilities, airplanes, etc.. are top notch! Thank you Inflight for helping me through my certificates and ratings!!

I have been taking lessons here since March and the staff are as friendly and professional as they come. The culture they have built at this flight school is top notch. I was able to move as quickly as my schedule would allow and received my private license, instrument rating and commercial license in just over 7 months. I plan on continuing training through CFI/CFII and all of that will be through Inflight. They are truly the best flight school in the area.

A few years after completion of private pilot certification, I stopped flying and did not return until decades later when I discovered Inflight Pilot Training at Flying Cloud Airport in Eden Prairie, MN. I had considered return to a sport pilot level, but with a private certificate I decided to return to that status. The instruction at Inflight is superb. It is accurate to figure an hour of instruction for every year of prior inactivity. After progression to a first flight review, I went on to train for instrument and commercial ratings. The two senior instructors Ive flown with there are experienced professionals, excellent teachers, grounded in a culture of safety, and exquisitely supportive of their students. Ive not had formal interaction with the younger crew of their many other instructors. I did all formal ground school using King School programs on line, but Inflight instructors provided supplemental ground teaching as needed, The growing fleet of Cessna and a single Piper aircraft are of legacy vintage, but very well and safely maintained by the dedicated Inflight maintenance staff. They have upgraded the instrumentation and avionics in many of these planes. Occasionally, regular maintenance has interrupted airplane availability and advance planning is needed, though this is a fair trade for safe equipment. There are also Cirrus and Bonanza aircraft for those wanting that degree of complexity. I am very satisfied with my experience at Inflight and recommend them highly..

If youre looking around the Twin Cities for the right flight school, just save your energy and go straight to Inflight. They are the best school in the state no doubt. Top notch instructors, plethora of airplanes, and just a friendly/welcoming atmosphere all around - I felt very comfortable very early on. From high wing to low wing, multi-engine & complex birds and still growing.. from six pack steam gauges to full glass, the Inflight fleet is there for any student and certified pilot. Full transparency, although their cost for training might not be the cheapest in the area, the best flight school never will be, youre paying for quality. Common misconception Ive found from others, oh that school is cheaper, lets go with them. Dont do that. Go with Inflight, youll get what you pay for.I work a full time job that involves traveling and last minute events, not a problem. Inflight is structured to be flexible, understanding, and there for you. Training for my PPL was not easy, it had its challenges and with that comes good days and bad days. You learn a lot from both. But my instructors were there encouraging and supporting me every step of the way.Training at Inflight was like flying with a friend that was teaching me how to fly. Thats how it should be.

I have had a great experience training at Inflight. I just completed my commercial license and felt very prepared for both the oral and skills exams. The fleet is large and well maintained, so I always feel safe in the planes. Additionally, it is usually not difficult to find a plane due to the size of the fleet. The instructors are very knowledgeable and flexible, so there is never an issue scheduling lessons. Overall, I would highly recommend!

I had a great experience at Inflight Pilot Training! It started when a first stopped in for an impromptu visit to tour the facilities and learn more about the programs they offer. The staff member spent considerable time showing me everything and explaining the process to obtaining a private pilot license. Once I began my training, I was hooked from the start! They paired me with an instructor who was very knowledgeable, patient (especially through some not so perfect landings early in training), flexible, and above all a great teacher. My flight training at Inflight prepared me to pass both my knowledge test and my checkride on the first attempt. I would highly recommend them and look forward to continuing towards my instrument rating at Inflight!

I recently finished my PPL at Inflight after a long (27 year!) break in training. My main concerns for picking a flight school were safety and access to aircraft/instructors so I could train regularly. Inflight met both these requirements easily. I flew with a few different instructors, they were very knowledgeable and great teachers with a strong focus on safety. In addition, Inflight has a large fleet of well-maintained aircraft, which made scheduling easy. I passed my check ride on the 1st try. I would recommend Inflight to anyone looking to become a pilot!

Booked a discovery flight with inflight and had an amazing time. Would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning to fly a plane, or is simply curious what it is like! My instructor Aaron was very knowledgeable, and I felt safe and comfortable the entire flight. We went over the flight plan beforehand and then we took to the skies! I was able to to take the controls and practice straight and level flight, ascending, descending, turns, and even recovering from a stall! The facility is immaculate and the plane was well maintained, as I’m sure the others are. I even got free cookies at the end. Five stars for sure!

I recently completed my private pilots license with Inflight and was extremely pleased with their operations. There were plenty of instructors and aircraft that scheduling was rarely an issue. They were very up front about costs and responsibilities. They communicated constantly and were friendly on a personal level. Most importantly, they helped set me up to pass the PPL exam with flying colors. I knew what to expect and had no issues. I will continue to learn through them and fly with their aircraft.

Yesterday, I had the best time ever during my Discovery Flight at Inflight Pilot Training. I have done solo skydiving, and I certainly had more fun flying Cessna 172 than jumping off from Cessna caravan for the freefall. Now I got hooked on aviation and plan to acquire a private pilot license.Big shout out to my excellent flight instructor Mark P. From my teaching background, it was evident that he was just as talented in instructions as he was in aviation. He also kindly explained the detailed steps I needed to take for the license. Our flights were amazing! Everyone was so welcoming and so helpful. Our pilot was professional but also so much fun. Its not a flying lesson but theres still a lot that can be learned in the experience. He did a great job of educating, encouraging, and making sure we had one of the best days ever!

Originally took a discovery flight here a couple years ago. Now I have my private done as well as my instrument rating completed because of them and looking forward to continuing lessons here. Honestly some of the nicest people, facility, and planes... plus FCM is a perfect airport to fly out of. Would recommend to anyone considering taking flight lessons!

In a professional manner, he always made me feel like a good friend and that made communication super easy. In fact, from top to bottom, each instructor treats you with respect, patience, and professionalism. Also shoutout to Sadie, Andrew, and Kayla at the main office desk! You can tell they have solid core values at Inflight just by who they hire. They have always been upfront and honest with me when it comes to pricing, general aviation questions, checkride prep, etc. I live closer to another flight school, but the family-like atmosphere is what drew me to attend this flight school and makes the extra drive totally worth it! I started just taking the Discovery Flight at Inflight Pilot Training and true to their words, I got a full hour flying time and a 30 min ground lesson compared to other Flight Training provider where they just give you an hour for both Flight and Ground lesson.After the discovery flight I just cant help myself but to keep flying more so I enrolled in their program and currently trying to get my Private Pilot License soon.All I can say is the training is excellent as I was able to understand the basics from the ground up and the ambiance of the training school is very much welcoming.Lastly, aside from the very professional and knowledgeable instructors at inflight, I get to enjoy some treats after my flight training with Sweet Marthas cookies! :)

After renting from and training at several different flight schools within and around the Twin Cities, I can say without hesitation that Inflight offers the best all around training package when it comes to reaching that first or next major aviation milestone. Having now finished the commercial stage of flight training, there were several key areas that made me stay with Inflight:Certified Flight Instructions (CFIs):The CFIs at Inflight are second to none and include a wide range of personalities that make it easy to find an instructor and teaching style that optimizes how quickly you retain flight and ground school material. During my training at Inflight, Ive worked directly with more than half a dozen flight instructors, whether it be while preparing for an upcoming checkride or simply discussing topics involving maintenance or scheduling, all of which were professional, knowledgeable, and made themselves immediately available whenever I had a question or request.Aircraft and Maintenance:With a fleet size of around 25 airplanes, comprised of Cessna 152s and 172s, Piper Arrow, Beechcraft Bonanza, Cirrus SR20 and SR22s, it is easy to pick and choose which airplanes fit within your level of comfort and budget. All airplanes are well maintained and Ive never felt as though my airplane would inevitably shed something important and reach critical mass shortly after takeoff. Aircraft maintenance logs are easily accessible and tracked for the rentee if there is ever any doubt during preflight. Also, Inflight is constantly upgrading and investing in their aircraft, in addition to the normal routine checkups required by the FARs. Ive seen far too many Part 61 flight schools attempt to simply satisfy federal regulations and offer nothing further when it comes to their rental and flight packages, so this deviation from an apparent norm impressed me.Scheduling:Gone were the days of trying to get ahold of my CFI over the phone or email to simply verify or schedule a flight lesson. At the time of updating this review, Inflight uses a scheduling software known as Flight Circle, which allows a rentee/student to block off time for a given aircraft and/or CFI for ground and/or flight instruction. Block off the appropriate time for the aircraft and CFI in the designated areas and youre good to go — both you and the CFI will receive a confirmation email, reminders, and notifications should maintenance or something else overlap with that timeslot. In addition to the aircraft, Flight Circle is constantly being updated and fine-tuned with newer additions offering reading material and progress tracking corresponding to your current certificate or rating — one especially helpful feature that I utilize while time building is the Rideshare feature, which allows a pilot to join another pilots booking in order to split time and rental costs.Electronic Flight Bag (EFB):Inflight provides its rentees/students with an EFB in the form of an iPad mini linked directly to the tail number of the reserved airplane. These EFBs have Garmin Pilot installed, which significantly cuts down the amount of materials required to be carried on the airplane outside of any checkride or training requirements. It is important to note that Garmin releases upcoming versions of their software to Inflight directly, often before releasing to their larger customer pipeline, meaning Inflight is often one of the first customers to receive said updates.To summarize, Inflight is definitely worth your time and investment if youre looking for a Part 61 flight school. Ive found that it doesnt matter what stage youre currently at with regards to your training. They will get you to where you want to be with regards to flight currency and flight proficiency, at whatever pace that you feel comfortable with doing.Oh, and you cant put a price on the birds-eye views of this beautiful state.

If looking within the Twin Cities, this is a great flight school. Coming from a part 141 school at a university to Inflight, it felt very welcoming and personable, I wasnt just another one of a couple hundred students. My time with the instructors has felt more meaningful and enjoyable. There are plenty of planes to choose from. Whether its in a plane with advanced avionics to original dial gauges. You pick what you want to fly.When it comes to price, its fair to choose the cheapest option. But when it comes to the quality of training and knowledge youll gain, you cant skimp on that.Working full-time aside training for my PPL, I was able to schedule around work and other events that came up. Its all tailored to you.

I signed up for a Discovery Flight for my wife (and I rode along) with one of their SR20 aircraft. The whole experience was great from start to finish. Mark, our CFI, contacted me earlier in the day to confirm the appointment and go over any questions or concerns I might have had. Once we got there, he walked us through the process and allowed plenty of time for questions as we got ready for our first flight in a Cirrus. The flying itself was great as well and my wife got to do plenty of hands on piloting of the plane. In the end, it was a fantastic experience and I couldnt recommend Mark and the InFlight team more!

With an excellent staff, high quality instructors, and variety of fleet options, Inflight is the best flight school I have received instruction or rented from.The aircraft coordinators are there to find options for you in case you have a last minute reservation need or unschedule maintenance. Unscheduled maintenance is a part of aviation; it will happen. The coordinators will make sure you arent left high and dry. They will make sure there are not swap options not unlike airline tail routers to make sure your mission can continue.The instructors are of highest quality. It all starts from their leadership. A pilot is always learning and Inflight takes this very seriously. The flight instructors leadership is always looking for opportunities to mold their CFIs into the best available in the Twin Cities. The CFIs continue that passion for education beyond your checkride. Many times when I am going for a cross country by myself, I will have a question that I need an expert answer to. I know I can always reach out to an instructor and have a very quick and informative conversation to keep me legal and safe.The variety of their fleet makes any sort of mission possible. The amount of aircraft makes me feel like I have flying club level of availability. C152s (3 of which are IFR), 172Ns, an SP, an outstanding Piper Arrow, the nicest Bonanza I have ever seen, and more Cirrus than any one ever asked for there is no mission you cant do at with this fleet.I recommend Inflight to anyone interested in flying or any renters looking for a great value FBO.

A the beginning of May, my curiosity got the best of me, and I scheduled a discovery flight at Inflight Pilot Training. I had been toying around with the idea of flight training, but really wasnt sure if it would be worth the investment.My first flight, I had the time of my life. My instructor was fun, snapped a few pictures of me, and gave me my first lesson behind the yolk. I came down giddy, and within a week was back signing on as a new student.I had looked at a couple other flight schools, but what really convinced me about Inflight was how upfront they were about costs and expectations, while really showing a sense of compassion for their students and passion for not just aviation - but creating new pilots.While many of the flight instructors have goals of airlines someday, at no point have I felt like I was just being used to build their hours. I have worked with multiple CFIs during my training, seeing how concepts can be explained differently, seeing different points of view for how to handle challenging situation. Having a big team of extremely capable CFIs, along with a large fleet of planes to train in, has meant that my training has had very minimal delays due to instructor availability or aircraft availability. There is always some option available if I want to get some training in!I have my private checkride scheduled next month, and intend to stick with Inflight as I work my way up to being a CFI. Their passion and desire to be the best is something that sticks with their students, and I intend to keep living up to the Inflight standard!

I have completed my private pilots license and now my IFR rating with Inflight, and I am so happy to have gone through my training with them! I chose Inflight originally because of their transparency in pricing and expectations, and stayed because of their aircraft availability, incredible team of CFIs, and their constant desire to improve. Since starting my training over a year ago, I have seen Inflight add on over 6 planes to their fleet, hire more mechanics and support staff, more CFIs, find more ways to incorporate technology - just to help improve the experience for their students and renters. Im excited to continue on to my commercial license, and then onto my own CFI rating to hopefully make aviation a long term career, and to make myself an even safer pilot. If you have the ability to come in and take a discovery flight, do it and see if the aviation bug is in you. Its something you wont regret!

I have been flying with Inflight for a while now, and I am very satisfied with both the training I have received, and the access to planes for personal rentals. Fairly easy online scheduling for flights makes it very easy, and the vast majority of the time there are enough planes to get in the air on the day you want. Even just for renting to fly on your own, lnflight is a great place to rent from, and the staff and instructors are great people to work with if you do decide to get more training.

I would consider Inflight an excellent flight school. I started my flight training about 4 months ago and it has been such a fun and exciting process. My flight instructor Mark is great and have heard nothing but good things about the rest of the crew here at Inflight. They keep a clean organized and safe facility. The have lots of training aircraft and are always looking to add to their fleet with an increase in demand. When I get into one of their airplanes I know I can trust it. Its an honest business with transparency never have I been charged for something I didnt want or didnt need. Also all the payments are easy to track online to stay organized. I recommend anyone that is interested in aviation to look around before deciding on what school fits you best, but I would definitely consider going to Inflight.

Several knowledgeable, caring, and positive minded flight instructors. Inflight has several great training airplanes that they continue to upgrade. Their in-house maintenance team is second to none. I highly recommend them. I started (with zero training) in September 20 and completed my checkride in January 21.

I completely recommend Inflight Pilot Training. I am a current student at Inflight and will be taking my PPL checkride very soon! Inflight is professional, safe, and very friendly. They prioritize their staff and students which speaks volumes to how well the company runs. The planes are well maintained. Training is organized yet customizable for the student. Its a great community to be apart of.I did have a slight hick-up at the beginning of my flight training and switched to a different instructor. Inflight made sure my experience and transition was smooth. Inflight has amazing instructors all around but like other comments suggest, be sure you find someone that teaches in a way you learn. Nothing wrong with finding a good fit for yourself. Shout out to Ambyr! She is AMAZING!I love flying out of FCM. It really makes you feel confident having exposure to a busy class D airport early on. It becomes normal for you. Practice areas and smaller airports are nearby though.EDIT 4/20/2021: Inflight has just launched a new instructor matching program! This is going to be a great new tool to help match students and instructors that will work best together how cool.Also, I just passed my private checkride and instrument rating checkride since I posted this review. Each ride I took with different DPEs and each were very impressed. Instruments in the airplanes are great for training. I choose to learn both the 430 and 650, but focused on the 650 at the end of my training for the checkride. I have to say this is thanks to the thorough prep from inflight. Their training is way above average!

Inflight Pilot Training is everything I could ask for in a flight school! I came in as a Commercial Helicopter Pilot and wanted to add on my Fixed Wing Private Pilots License. Alex, the pilot concierge was outstanding! He was able to answer all my questions and find me the perfect flight instructor to finish the course in the extremely tight timeline that I had! The instructors love to fly and will put their students first. Everyone here is very friendly and is willing to help out in anyway they can. The online scheduling software was a huge bonus for me, as I got to pick the times I was able to fly and not have to call anyone to schedule it for me. The maintenance team works very hard to make sure the planes are available and are kept in great shape. Inflight also has a Safety Management System which is a great tool for any flight school. If you are a pilot looking to rent an airplane, or a brand new student who has never been in a small plane, this is the BEST place to come!

Went here to make a surprise flight over Minneapolis for my wifes birthday. The staff all quickly understood that she was blindfolded and that it was a surprise. Special thanks to Mark! Great guy as well as a big professional in flying! We had great time and great talks! Easy going and very polite man! Thank you Mark for letting me fly the plane and teaching me a few things about flying! Especially very cool how the guages work and the way you steer and control the plane. Great experience! I earned my private pilot certificate with Inflight and I couldnt have had a better experience from start to finish. There are a ton of experienced instructors, with a vast amount of knowledge, there to help you become a pilot on your own timeline. Also having the choice between the 152 or the 172 is great if you are trying to earn certificates on a budget (most of the airplanes have digital avionics or are being updated to digital). On top of that, they have other airplanes if you are looking to get your Complex, TAA or High Performance endorsements. I look forward to continuing onto my instrument rating with Inflight and I hope that this review steers you in the right direction!

Started with Inflight in August and couldn’t be happier! Super awesome program with great instructors. The planes feel very safe and they do a great job staying on top of maintenance. Ask for Ben Randell as an instructor, he’s a super cool cat.

My instructor Tim is extremely helpful, knowledgeable and consistent in his messaging. Everyone else Ive come into contact with at Flying Cloud Airport and Inflight Pilot Training are very kind and organized. Its a well-run operation and I feel fortunate to have found this flight school to have done a Discovery Flight and now being my Private Pilot License.

Inflight Pilot Training is simply the best place to start your pilot training or continuous pilot education. The instructors are flexible and provide comprehensive explanations to any knowledge topics or practical flight maneuvers you might be having a hard time with as you prepare for checkrides. Inflight is constantly in communication with a few DPEs in the area so scheduling is quick and easy. The facilities and aircraft are constantly getting upgraded, maintenance is always on top of everything, you truly feel safe flying these airplanes!

Ive been flying with Inflight Pilot Training since 2013 and commute 1.5hrs to get there. Its been worth every day and mile with top quality aircraft, maintenance, leadership and training. Its fun and enjoyable to not only rent/train at Inflight, but to also meet a lot of great people and friends that share a passion for aviation.UPDATE: fast forward to the year 2020 and Im still part of Inflight and just passed my flight instructor with them. Inflight Pilot Training is AWESOME!! I would highly recommend Inflight to anyone who wants to learn to fly, continue their training, obtain a new certificate, or rent an airplane. I started training for my PPL during the summer. From knowing almost nothing about flying during my Discovery Flight to passing my Checkride exam and becoming a certified pilot, they are there to support your dreams. The atmosphere around the office is wonderful. They make sure you feel welcome during every visit. My wife and I have greatly enjoyed our experience with InFlight. We are both about to take our check rides and feel very confident going into this final phase. Our instructors have been fantastic - they are great pilots and just fun people to be around. We have also had a great experience with their maintenance facility for the annual inspection on our plan. I started with a discovery flight and then signed up for the private pilot lessons straightaway because of the great experience I had. Mark, my instructor, has been great and I really appreciate the flexibility I have to learn at my own pace. Due to work obligations, Im only able to fly on the weekends and the fact that inflight has a lot of planes makes scheduling possible even with a narrow window. I would recommend anyone looking to start pilot training to begin with the discovery flight and sign up with inflight. I have had a great experience and Im sure you will as well.

Inflight Pilot Training is a wonderful flight school! I received my private pilot’s license here, and it was a great experience. The CFIs are all really great at what they do. I did not have any prior flying experience, but it didn’t take long to feel very comfortable at Inflight Pilot Training. I definitely recommend this flight school, and I am excited to continue my instrument training here in the near future.

Great location at a not too busy (but has its moments) towered airport. Great to learn at as you’re right at the edge of the busy MSP airspace but also have the wide open countryside to fly over on quieter days. The staff is helpful and takes great enjoyment in getting people up in the air. Lots of airplanes to rent but during the summer it’s hard to get one last minute as they are very busy. If you have flexibility it isn’t a problem! I did all of my training for my private pilots and look forward to doing my instrument ratings with Inflight! Update: not much has changed with regards to the company- still good people working hard to make flying safe and fun. I completed my instrument training with them and worked with two solid instructors. Safety is key and the planes are updated to fly with some pretty respectable avionics. Will certainly continue flying with Inflight.

Flight instructors are very knowledgable and flexible in scheduling. There are planes readily available and in very good condition. It is a great place to learn because of the traffic from MSP as well as the other nearby airports. Overall, I was very happy with the training I have received from inflight!

I just completed my private pilot checkride after training with Inflight and I had a great experience. My instructor did a thorough job of preparing me for the practical test.I appreciate that Inflight has a good sized (and ever-expanding) fleet of 2-seat Cessna 152 airplanes that are well-equipped and well-maintained. Being able to rent a smaller plane for my private pilot training helped keep costs more reasonable.

I took my first lesson with Inflight in late August of 2019. In the span of 20 months, I got my Privates license, Instrument rating, Commercial license, CFI and CFII.I was originally going to start flight training at a different school but I wanted to check out Inflight before diving deep into it just to be sure I was making the best choice on where to go. Right away, I noticed how professional and welcoming the school was. The coordinator spent a couple of hours going through everything with me at no charge, and it felt like Inflight was committed to presenting everything the student should know from the onset, which made getting started feel easy and assuring. I learned so much from that information session and it motivated me to want to get started as soon as possible. Inflight does a great job of giving a thorough orientation to all prospective students before they commit to anything and its a nice way of learning about the school and what they are about to embark upon. Ultimately, I chose Inflight because I knew it was where Id receive the best training in the metro area.In the year and a half Ive done flight training, I have worked with a primary instructor as well as about 10 other instructors along the way. Its been great to have a main mentor, but being able to also make connections with many other instructors has helped me feel even more immersed into the school. All of the CFIs take their responsibility extremely seriously and in preparation for my CFI checkride, I felt over-prepared due to the thoroughness and quality of the instruction Id received. I appreciate how Inflight has a diverse range of personalities amongst their team too so there should be a good match for any student. All of the instructors are motivated and competent but they all come from different backgrounds and everyone is respected.Regarding the fleet, Inflight has been expanding since I joined. When I started I believe there were around 15 planes but now theres 25, of five different types. Ive never had an issue booking a plane and the administration and maintenance due a great job of keeping students informed on when to expect maintenance blocks or helping move things around in the case a plane must be switched. Inflight utilizes are comprehensive maintenance team who ensure the planes are safe to fly. That makes going up enjoyable and makes it easy to fly at anytime and on your own pace without stress. All of the planes are in excellent condition and while we all have our favorites, theres not a single one I wouldnt fly.Taking lessons at a part 41 school is a great way to go for many students. It allows you to go at your own pace, especially depending on your financial and time situation. You get to control when, who you fly with, and how often you have lessons. There are many instructors so finding the time is easy as you are willing. And with the costs, its doable as is anything if its important to you. I funded my entire training by waiting tables which proves it doesnt take opulence to become a pilot!One last thing, there are students of all ages and races. There are many students in their 50s and 60s looking to get their license, and there are also high school students, as well as everything in between. Ive been able to make several goods friends through Inflight and with a few of them, weve even gone on weekend trips together, including one to Madeleine Island and Omaha. So whether youre just looking to get a license to fly for fun, career oriented, or just looking to become part of a great community, Inflight has a lot to offer and thats why Ive stayed with them all the way through my training.I know I made the right decision by joining Inflight. The certifications/ratings arent rushed and again the instructors are amongst the best in the country. This type of quality instruction gives me confidence that Ill be ready to be a great instructor myself, and that Ill have the necessary foundational skills to be a strong pilot at the airlines in a few years.

I decided to train at Inflight after researching flight schools in the Twin Cities area that could accommodate an accelerated student like myself-trying to obtain a Private Pilot license with as little time (and money) as possible. From the start, Inflight gave me all the information I needed to make a decision about my training. They have the fleet (Cessna 152 for me), the knowledgeable instructors, and the management and maintenance to reach my goal with as few speed bumps as possible. Their scheduling and billing system is easy to use and very transparent, so you always know exactly what youre paying for and when.I began training on April 12th and passed my checkride on May 19th (a total of 37 days), despite many weather days. I cannot speak highly enough about my instructor, Alec, and the whole team at Inflight. Every instructor there enjoys teaching and gives you their full attention. The right instructor, aircraft, and environment can really save you time and money on training and Inflight offered all of the above. Any time there was an issue with scheduling or maintenance, they ALWAYS offered the best solution possible and never charged for anything other than actual productive flight or instruction time. Flying Cloud is a great airport to learn comms and become confident in a busy traffic pattern. Ground training is structured and follows a thorough syllabus, so I always knew exactly where I was in my training. I passed my oral exam with flying colors, a true testament to my amazing instructor! Alec was patient, thorough, and extremely knowledgable in all of our training. Put the time in, come prepared, and you cant go wrong.If you are looking for a place to complete a rating, Inflight is 100% the place to do it.

An awesome experience all around. All the instructors Ive worked with a fantastic, super knowledgeable and fun. Good variety of both aircraft and avionics makes for a well rounded training experience, and you can save money flying in the 152s. Also getting sweet marthas cookies at each flight doesnt hurt either. Ive worked with another local flight school previously and definitely prefer Inflight.

My backgrond as a student is somewhat unusual as I did my initial flight training in Sweden 30-40 years ago where I did private, instrument, commercial and multi engine. When I moved to the US in 2001, I did get a FAA private license based on my Swedish CPL. Three years ago I decided to pursue a “real” FAA license which meant taking all the exams and tests required for a pilot who have never seen a aircraft before. I did some web research and quickly concluded that Inflight looked like a great first flight school to check out. After my first lesson with Jeremy Olsen, it was an easy decision to stay with Inflight for all my flight training. I have finished private, instrument and commercial over a period of three years and it’s been a great experience from every aspect. Instructors are well trained, have a professional attitude and all five instructors I have had the pleasure to fly with, have been very friendly and helpful. The school is also well run and all aircraft are maintained and equipped to a high standard. I used five different flight schools in Sweden for different phases of my training. They were all good in various ways but none of them provided the overall quality of training that I have experienced during my three years at InflightI also found Flying Cloud to be an ideal airport for flight training. It’s big enough that you get the big airport experience of complex taxiways with many crossings over the three runways while at the same time, the volume of traffic is low enough that you don’t have congestion in the pattern, at least not all the time. At times when Flying Cloud is busy, there are several smaller airports with little or no traffic within 10-20 minutes flight.Another very positive experience is that the level of service and friendliness provided by Elliott Aviation, the FBO that host Inflight. The Elliott crew is always there to help quickly with fuel and other practical needs.If you are looking for a well run flight school in the Twin Cities area, Inflight will not disappoint you. It might not be your cheapest option but just looking at hourly costs for flight training can often be misleading. With high quality training, most people need less hours to reach their goal.The final positive thing I want to mention about inflight is their IT maturity level. The web based system for scheduling aircraft and instructors is great. It is super convenient to be able to browse the online calendar and quickly schedule or change your lessons. No more time consuming phone calls or emails to find time for your lessons. Also, all aircraft are equipped with an electronic flight bag in form of an iPad. This means no more carrying around a heavy pilot bag filled with books, manuals, maps and other documentation. This is all available with a few clicks on the iPad. You can even use it to see not only exactly where you are but also where other aircraft in the area are as well as weather information.
