Great people helping to shape young lives in the community. Emphasis on developing character in children and helping them to become confident and capable citizens through the beautiful art and discipline of Taekwondo.I really appreciate how they treat kids like family while teaching them to be respectful, responsible and strong, both mentally and physically. My kids are in the Taekwondo program. I have especially noticed immediate positive growth in my son, and flourishing confidence in my young daughter.Other programs I have looked into have a more corporate feel, so finding this husband-and-wife owned business is a breath of fresh air. I highly recommend trying FMAA out!

Aydanne is much more stronger and confident since taking Tae Kwondo. She has been a member for over 3+ years and loving it. I also love how Mr. and Mrs. Sauers are involved in community and school events. In addition, they offer a Parents Night Out and Self Defense classes for women. Great place for the whole family. There is something here for everyone. A place for children to learn a new skill that builds confidence they can take with them outside the school. It’s also a place for mom and/or dad to join in with their children or join a class for some different exercise (Barre class) and a choice of classes for dad to learn some new martial arts skills, too. A very family oriented place that gives back to the community, helping children become aware of the outside world where they learn they can make a difference! More than a martial arts school, for sure.

It brings me such joy to see how much my sons confidence has been boosted. The way they teach is awesome! Everyone, and I literally mean everyone has such a great relationship with the students and the parents. Thank you Mr. S for being a part of my son becoming a man! Very affordable too!!

Amazing place for adults, kids and families. I absolutely love how committed the owners are to their clients and community. We have been to many events there as well as classes. From little ninja for our toddler, to my husbands first time ever completing a class. Highly recommended and will continue to be loyal clients.

This place is dedicated to family and supporting the community. You immediately feel part of an amazing family and support structure from the first day you come in. I love all the people here, the atmosphere, and the lessons taught to the kids above and beyond traditional lessons. This is the place to take your family.

I look for positive role models for my kids...especially KIND. Freedoms owners are kind, personable, caring and their hearts are in the right place. They do a lot for the community and support the kids who go to the school by actually being involved in so many ways outside of the dojang! Master Sauers teaches 99% of the classes and it is a warm and inviting school. Schedule is flexible, price is affordable, and is family oriented. What they offer is worth the drive and the price. Dont go for the flashy schools close by! The value isnt there...been there and done that.

Freedom Martial Arts is top notch, both in training and in giving to the community. The instructors are knowledgable, friendly, and hands-on in training. Recommended to anyone who is looking to know how to better protect yourself or work on self-discipline.

The school is a great place for families. We love it here. Ive seen the school grow and it is the best martial arts school in Edgewood. The owners take great care to ensure the students learn and feel valued. Its obvious they care and love what they do and it reflects in the children they teach.

My son joined Freedom right after Christmas. We joined after a recommendation from a friend as both of our sons were experiencing bullying at school and they stopped the TKD program at the YMCA. Best decision ever. Not only did my son join but I shortly joined after. As time went on we have found most of our afternoons and weekends are with the Freedom Family. Not because we have to make a class but because we absolutely love being there. I wouldn’t think at my age I would start something like this but I am hooked. I attend the all ages classes with the kids and love it. If you have ever wanted to give Martial Arts a try this is the place to go. I am in better shape than I have been in years and sharing it with my son. We are both more confident, respectful, and use the skills in our daily lives. This is a family friendly (you will meet a lot of great families) environment that focuses not only on TKD but values and community.

They kept kids ranging from 6-10 entertained the entire time. Piñata, decorations, goody bags and cotton candy!!!! My kids loved it and I had dominos deliver straight there. Super easy and stress free😀

Wow! This martial arts school is what this area needs! My family went to the other place in Edgewood for 2 years...hated it, left and came here. Not only are the owners at Freedom nice, they are honest and have such huge hearts. Your kids will always be active, it is unlimited classes, and Master Sauers teaches pretty much all of the classes. Which impressed me. Theres structure and it is not a daycare center. You wont see anyone teaching from a binder or testing students from a binder. They teach from actual true martial arts knowledge. Master Sauers is great in teaching self defense and puts his heart into every class. Ive been to a couple of the Kali classes and learned a great deal from them. Im glad my sister took my nephew here because since he has special needs, he is treated with dignity. Ive been watching this place grow and so happy to be part of this school.

Freedom Martial Arts Academy is a wonderfull school. They really care about their students. Taekwondo has so many benefits for kids. The kids get a great amount of mat time and training. They do not sit behind cones and the program they teach is from years of training. It is true martial arts! Not bought where anyone can become a martial arts school owner. I didnt want my kid going to that type of a school. FMAA treats and supports the military families very well too.

Great place for kids to learn life skills and keep active. My kids learn and do a lot more than just Tae Kwon Do here.

Just had my son’s 5th birthday party here today! We arrived and the studio was decorated and ready for us in my son’s theme- Lego Ninjago! The owners were so nice and accommodating and went above and beyond to make our party a success. Our party guests ranged from age 4 to 12 and all activities were fun and engaging for everyone- jumping on an inflatable, dodgeball, piñata, and board breaking! I only had to bring the cake and drinks! I chose to make my own goodie bags- but they offer those too. They popped popcorn for the party guests and had me covered when I forgot a knife to cut the cake. Even the parents commented how this was such a great party! Freedom Martial Arts also is supportive of our community and donated this birthday party package to the organization BackPack Kids which provides food on weekends and school breaks for kids in need within the Puyallup School District. I attended the BackPack Kids auction and won this party package! Thank you Freedom Martial Arts for giving my son an amazing birthday party!
