It is wonderful under the esteemed administration of Doctor Timothy Anderson. Dr Anderson has restored this school and cleaned out the scum of the halls with his hall pass policy. But Im not quite sure if he is a real doctor. Learn Lots, have Pride in your school and pride in yourself.

The atmosphere is friendly and inclusive. I read another review from some time ago that mentioned bullying. I think that things have changed a great deal since then. There is zero-tolerance for bullying, and on the rare occasion that something happens, it is immediately addressed. Even quirky, smart kids fit-in here. In fact, quirky seems like the new normal. The only downside is that the school is a little short on funding, as you can tell from the basement of the old part of the school. I wish the school board & superintendent would support a district boundary change that would bring in more funding. In spite of tight resources though, the principal and teachers do a phenomenal job.

The administrators are very unprofessional and so are some of the teachers. i am a student at south view and i can share some of my experiences at south view. if you ever have to speak with administration you must read their ¨HANDBOOK¨ with some unlawful rules

My kids have done well here, A honor roll each year, but WORKED her butt off for it. I think they expect way too much from these kids and parents. Choir concerts are weeks nights which makes NO SENSE! My kids liked the teachers other than choir. Extremely arrogant and were even made to sing a song he wrote which wasnt any good. Staff is a little better this year, but still very demanding from patents as well. Ridiculous expectations for school supplies including a laptop instead of a memory stick on school computers. For choir, they had to buy shirts, black dress pants, skirt, socks and shoes Very direct ORDER nothing else would be allowed! Why not supply a robe so its less costly for families etc. My daughter literally has a test at LEAST 3 DAYS A WEEK. Not quizes, but tests. Puts terrible anxiety, and stress on her every single day. Field trips are extremely expensive and over the top. Sking, camping etc. Even the fun activities cost a small fortune for the games or activities. If parents are covering the costs of EVERYTHING where is all of the school funding going? Id love to know because I really would doubt staff is loving high on the hog! Someone is though...and its wrong! Looking forward to a new district next year. Theres little to no communication between staff and parent either. Unless its through a faceless email forget even recognizing any of their teachers.

I went to Southview many years ago, so take this with a grain of salt. It was a great middle school. I had some problems with other students and the administration dealt with it very well. I learned a lot.

One of the best schools I ever went to everyone was nice and it was 10x nicer than the Bloomington schools and edina was way more peaceful and everyone respected each other :).

Parents DONT bring YOUR kids HERE TRUST ME THIS SCHOOL IS TRASH PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS SMOKING

A trash school with trash people. Even the XC course was too short. Trash.
