Aims is a great school to transition into the healthcare industry and or gain additional skills for additional or further career opportunities. This is an Accredited school, which is important to enable you to sit for state exams /certifications. Faculty are very supportive throughout education and beyond offering assistance for job placement.

Aims Education is an excellent place to learn about careers in the healthcare field. The teachers do a great job with teaching the material in order to get you ready to start working. I did the medical billing and coding course and I had Meenu Nair has my teacher. I felt very prepared to start working after the course was completed and ready to go out and apply my knowledge. Only two weeks after I finished my internship, I was able to find a job. Justine Keane was so much help with the process of finding a career and getting our foot in the door. Overall, I highly recommend AIMS Education if you are looking to find a job in the healthcare field.

I just finished an intense MRI program here at AIMS and I can tell you now, it was hard but it was also so worth it. You will have a year and a half of class work and then 6 months internship at a hospital or imaging center. You gain so much knowledge from the class room and also the internship site. It’s amazing how much hands on experience you get in this program. I would also love to thank Justine, the career coordinator for everything possible for during school and post graduation. Justine has kept in contact with me all the way with new job opportunities and everything I need when setting up for my registry exam. Also I would love to thank Ron and Sheetal for all the knowledge and help along the way. It’s hard work but an amazing experience.

I had a great experience at AIMS Education. The instructor for the MBC course, Professor Meenu is very knowledgable with many years of experience behind her. She was very helpful throughout the whole course and followed up multiple times during this pandemic situation while we were completing the internship. The program is relatively short and intense, exactly what I was looking for. I highly recommend it to anyone whos thinking about entering the medical field.

I took the Medical Billing and Coding course at Aims and I could not have chosen a better field or a better school. Tony made my choice to come to Aims easy and very smooth transition. Meenu was by far the most knowledgeable teacher I could have ever had. There was never a question I had that she could not answer. I was placed in an internship that my background in mental health meant a great chance at a job. My first week into my internship I was given a job there and am now the practice manager. We also have two other Aims students who work in my billing department as well. I owe my new career and my flourishing future to Meenu. She prepared me for my exam which I had no problem passing thanks to her. If you are looking for a school and a teacher who care about you as a person then Aims is exactly where you need to go.

(UPDATE: The response from the company was flimsy at best and basically proved my point that calling the program MEDICAL BILLING AND CODING is a farce. Saying people can pass the certification exam only says something about the students wanting to succeed and not the program itself. Thats how I passed; it definitely wasnt because of the program. And I had to drive to the Piscataway campus to get my certificate or they were going to CHARGE ME $9 to have a piece of paper delivered to me... (the NHA sent me a copy of it free, btw). Oh, and saying that theres a review book in the school library? You forgot to mention that the library is in Piscataway, not Edison. ALSO, I just found out from a former classmate that I was not invited to the pinning/graduation ceremony. Im SURE it was an oversight.)(ORIGINAL REVIEW)I signed up for the MBC program with the goal of becoming a coder and acquiring a new job in said field. This is what I got instead:1) classes which were comprised of the teacher reading to you out of a book and tests you werent prepared for. I got nothing out of the classes and retained nothing after taking the tests (I was an A-A+ student).2) An internship program with companies that werent vetted in advance by the school (I personally was set up for an internship that didnt exist). Students also werent involved in deciding what type of internship they received; I was finally placed with a great company whose coding department was OVERSEAS, which didnt help my career goals at all.3) A program that halfway through went from a billing and coding class to an insurance specialist class. Billing and coding was minimal at best, and hospital billing was only mentioned in passing.4) A job placement program that consisted of sending me ads from indeed, most of which had nothing to do with my job interests and were sent to 10 other people as well.5) A certification review class where we had to spend $80 (on top of the tuition) for a book that didnt help, and was basically read to us just like in class. The test itself focused more on insurance than anything else and had things that were never taught or reviewed in class.6) More days off and waste-of-time activities that made the class - and my unemployment - much longer than necessary.7) A tremendous feeling that I wasted both my time and my money.I have a background in education and can tell you that this program is flimsy at best. There seems to be no curriculum or planning beyond read from the book. Theres no interactive learning, no legitimate test prep and no organized career placement. In a field where experience matters, you need the backing of a school and the confidence that you can do the job. AIMS provides neither.
