I’m a Barbering graduate! Came in September 2019 with high hopes fresh out of high school. Pro Beauty may look small but it does a BIG job on what you need to learn and pass. The staff have great hearts (and are very welcoming) ! They really help you to get to where you want to be and they make it fun even when there’s some topics we study that isn’t the greatest. I actually got a spot at a barbershop from being there and I met good people which means good connections which is amazing in the hair industry. If you’re near the area and want to get into barbering, nails, skin care, or cosmetology as a whole, I recommend going to Pro Beauty. ( Also to anyone who might think the pricing is high or what not, every cosmetology school is priced similarly. It is what it is for this type of school or any college) TPBA really gives what you need though. And the kit you receive is really nice. Just great overall!

Awesome school, awesome staff and most importantly awesome environment!! Love this school and I will for sure recommend it to anyone! Ms. Gia is the best teacher I’ve ever had. She is super fun and makes you want to go to school everyday. The way she explains everything makes sure you understand the material so easily!! I got a haircut there and it was one of the best cuts I had in a while. The student giving me the haircut was great and the Michelle (the teacher) was great and friendly! Will come back again and I highly recommend the service!

I recently completed the nail technology program at PBA and as promised passed my state board exam on the first try! Mrs. Aabha has created a wonderful environment for students to thrive.

As a graduate and now licensed cosmetologist, This school made sure to guide me in the right direction and provided the materials and education I needed in order for me to have a successful future. I attended the manicuring program at The Pro Beauty Academy. My time at the school went by quickly, but my teacher, Ms.Gia, as well as all of my classmates were super supportive of one another and helpful. Ms.Gias love for teaching really showed throughout my experience, and her enthusiasm made me even more excited to begin my career as a nail technician!

Excellent school for becoming an esthetician! Very professional and clean. They find a perfect individual approach to every student and provide clear expectations and great materials to help you succeed. I enjoyed my time there and was able to find a great job right after graduating with the esthetician experience I got from this school. I had been wanting to get my nail technician license for so long. Pro Beauty Academy was a great experience. Even with the Covid restrictions I still felt like I got a good education though it was hard to get my practical sometimes the director did work with us to give us more time to allow us to get our practical‘s in. Ms T & Ms Gia were very knowledgeable teachers. On the administrative side Carolina went above and beyond to help when it came to filling out paperwork or filing your paperwork with the state board. I enjoyed my time here so much that me and Miss Alba are talking about me coming back and becoming a teacher. If you’re thinking about anything in the cosmetology profession I would recommend Pro Beauty Academy.

I attended Pro Beauty from September 2020-March 2021 in their skin care program.I built a personal relationship with the owner and director Ms. Aabha as well as one of my instructors Ms. Gia. Ms. Gia was my favorite teacher and she offered a lot of knowledge and expertise that helped me retain much of the information we learned.Like all schools you get out what you put in. I attended Pro beauty full time while also being full time in college and when I graduated and took my written exam I got a 92. You cannot rely on the teachers to teach you, help you review, do homework and study. Many students entered the school fully relying on the teachers for everything and when they did not know certain topics or skills that were already taught got angry.I can say there were times where things were unorganized but I believe that was from us attending a school that needs to be in-person during a pandemic that forced us to have to go online at times.Overall I believe I got the value of my education and compared to other schools Pro Beauty was the most affordable, best education and most understanding of circumstances from what I have heard from other friends in Beauty schools.

I am currently a junior in The Pro Beauty Academy for nail tech. I work in the medical field, I know nothing about nails lol. However Ms Gia is such a great teacher, like i said before i don’t know anything about nails and i’m passing these online test without even looking at the book just remember was was taught in class! I will highly recommend this school and to have Ms Gia as a teacher!

Finding a Nail School was such a challenge for years. I had given up getting licensed in Manicuring. Then I moved to N.J. & my daughter & I started looking again. When found a couple of schools. We decided on Pro Beauty Academy in Edison, NJ. My experience there was much more than I expected. All staff was warm & welcoming. It was So fun. COVID was in full effect so it was a bit confusing at the beginning. We had Zoom learning & when it was permitted we were allowed to go into the building & do our physical & practical learning. Meeting & Sharing time with the other students was also fun for me. Any help what so ever that was needed was given. Such a relaxed atmosphere as well. I am currently a student attending this school and I am so happy to be a part of such a caring, helpful, encouraging and supportive group ! Especially during this time in the pandemic it has been stressful but my classmates and teachers all have each other’s back. Being in such a laid back atmosphere has a positive impact on my leaning as I’m more open to asking questions, for help, and feedback is given in such a positive way!

The star is for ms.blue ,However this is the most unprofessional, money hungry establishment ever , you’ll have to pay 800-1000 in unknown fees the teachers are cool but me and everyone else feels like the class was an entire waste of money 🤷🏾‍♀️

The Pro Beauty Academy has become a second home to me. I’ve never seen an institution where everyone works together as a team. There was never a time where there was competition between classmates and that’s what I loved the most. I’ve met some great people and have gained friends in the process. I’m actually really contemplating going back after graduation to study skin care because I’m just not ready to part ways. 😩

I will be graduating soon from Pro Beauty Academy and my experience has been nothing but gun and knowledge-based. I love the school. Being that English is not my first language they have helped me so much. I was so scared to start because of the language barrier but Ms.D and Ms.Samona made sure I was 100% knowledgeable on each chapter. They guided me me with patience. The admissions rep also helped me schedule my exam and was helpful to understand.

This is the best of the best choice I ever made in my lifetime. I always wanted to do hair and makeup but never took that so seriously. I went for highlights week ago during evening hours around 7 pm. Terrible job by teacher!!!! If teacher is like this what she is teaching to students??? Two students were constantly telling to teacher that heat is needed to process and color is not right, then also teacher was not listening and she was just trying to be bossy..... they over processed by hair, and asked me to come next day. After 2 days my hair started falling and breaking where highlighted!! I went once morning hours. Morning hours is still okay. Not recommended.......

I went to Pro Beauty for Nail Technology program and I absolutely love the school. The educator and Ms. Aava, the owner helped me a lot and motivated me for both the licenses. With all there help, I am a licensed technician today. I highly recommend this school if you need personalized education. They really care.

I use to attend this place for deep conditioning. No complaint there since every student successfully refreshed my hair. I decided to try them out for bayalage. This is not my first, I’ve gotten the treatment before somewhere else and it always came out beautiful. I trusted this location since I have been coming here and realized a instructor with experience will be supervising. Why not give it a try, right?Everything seemed great but I noticed the color wasn’t attaching. Idk what went wrong in the process but the end result seemed fine since they styled and curled my hair. But after a wash and viewed my hair straight it was more orange than before. The toner used didn’t really stick. I specifically said I didnt want orange hair. They viewed the picture I showed multiple times I wanted.Second, my hair didn’t have layers of bayalage, it seemed more of an hombre. Yes it was foiled but no separation to show depth or variety. I called today to explain my current hair situation bc frankly I am not happy with the result so I was hoping to get it corrected.They would gladly do so but I would still have to pay.. after I spent $70 on “bayalage” even tho they charge “$55” bc of course my hair is long so it will be extra.. and not to mention what I assumed to fill a sign in sheet at the reception desk is actually a waiver..I understand this is a school, and that they are students but if you make a mistake correct it, don’t overcharge as you are learning and want your client to feel happy, am i wrong? I honestly would recommend this location to work on customer experience, communication and expectations. Very disappointed in how you do business. I would not return nor recommend anyone here for hair treatment.

Terrible service. My cousin graduated from this school this year. They end up billing her $900 for missing some hours. Do not trust the owner. She will always make it seems it’s okay to skip your hours and you can make it up anytime IT IS A LIE don’t trust that. Most the time there is no teachers in the classroom, place is dirty because they can’t even afford paying someone to clean the school but they take your money for no reason. Bathrooms are smelly, students are just all over the school, not a professional management. At the end of your program they will lose your folder some how, if you still a student there make sure you take your folder yourself and drop it off to the office cuz you’ll end up like my cousin. Made an appointment with instructor and day of appointment got a call stating the students were going on a field trip and I needed to reschedule. I understand it’s a beauty school but the person who made my appointment was an instructor.Left hand doesn’t talk to right hand??

Very satisfied. Both the student and her instructor are friendly and kind and was patient to listen to me explaining how I want my hair to be done. My hair looked cute after the cut. I also received some shampoo and conditioner samples.

Beware of this school and Owner. Never believe Owner, she talks very sweet and says not to worry and she will take care of everything. But she plays game. She asked me to do make up hours and after that she gave me very hard time, I had to pay extra $1000, My friend had to pay extra $800 and other girl had to pay extra $1200. She is not professional at all. she does too much gossiping, she doesnt respect privacy. She always wants to know whats going on in your personal life. and she talks your personal stuff to others. I heard too many stories about other girls from her. She lost my passport copy and delayed my application filing for the exam. And very important thing she will give hard time to all indian girls because i have seen any other Spanish, African or Caucasian girls dont listen to her and they will not take any non sense non professional action from her. She thinks Indian girls are uneducated so she can easily rip them and ask for money otherwise she will not file application. I got really very hard time to ask her for my hours and file for both exams. NEVER believe her. Get everything in writing. I am going to complain to state board as well, how she rip the Indian girls who are not good in english language.

I started the Nail Technology program at Pro Beauty Academy in March and I have learned so much during my time here. All of the teachers are so helpful and they create a very welcoming environment that encourages creativity and confidence among the students.

Their service is really bad. Just the day before my wedding they burned my hair by using heavy amount of bleach. Later they cutted my hair un evenly. They doesnt even know how to do a good cut.

One star is for mrs.Blue. The only one will really teach you about Nail to become Nail Technicina. The rest they just want your money and when you finished your 300 hours, they just gonna “Goodbye” and don’t even help you for practice test. Thinking about spend almost $4000.00 ( four thousand dollars) and all you learn is basic one. Who will hiring you if you don’t know how to do acrylic stuff or even know how to use a nipper?? Oh and big think you need to concern is :” do you want to paying for a liar Owner ( Ahba). Promise million thing and never do! After graduate you have to do your own to pass the test.

We have been going there for kids haircut the place is nice but recently they have raised there prices to much .We felt for learning place the prices are more for everything.
