My son has been studying viola since the 4th grade through the Edison school system. Once the last summer came around and we saw no end in sight to this pandemic, we knew it was time to get my now 13 year-old violist son private instruction. Luckily, we had already started our research and had already been referred to Music Forever by another musician/employee over at Sam Ash.After a long and very pleasant conversation with MF’s owner, Matt, we scheduled a trial lesson with Steven...an all-around professional musician that has formerly studied brass to percussion to string instruments, but more importantly, he was a true viola aficionado. But even before that first lesson, Steven contacted me to ask if I could potentially send a sample of my son’s playing so that he could do an assessment and as a result, ensure the two could hit the ground running with a very productive first class.And it was. And it always continues to be.While every lesson has been remote so far, Steven only needs his ear to detect when my son’s stance is off...or his wrist bent...or a string old. Not having a lesson in-person would seem a detriment to all parties...but the truth is, we haven’t encountered any difficulties at all. My son loves learning under Steven. And his skills continue to flourish while under his tutelage.Assuming Steven’s superb teaching skills, technical knowledge, musicality and student support are all typical of the other teachers at Music Forever, then you wouldn’t go wrong to come here with any of your musical instruction needs. Top marks!Finally, for those interested, lesson pricing is very fair and is even less expensive to what some teachers charge. But don’t take my word for it... make some other calls and check. But be sure to save this number. Matt and his partner, Tony, will make sure you won’t regret it!

Loved this place and the person who owns is gem. Very friendly gives you complete knowledge. We wanted a violin for rent and it was our first visit to any music store they gave complete details....will go back the music teacher is amazing too spoke to her for classes

If you are interested on piano or violin, Chris Klaus is your man. He is one of the many teachers at MF, but he is friendly and with great experience working with both children and adults. Great overall service for a good price.

My wife and I have been taking cello and violin lessons here respectively for about over a year now, and the staff and instructors are great, involved, and passionate about music. Rented a violin here as well, so an all around all-stop shop for lessons and gear. Recital performances and group participation are also an option while taking lessons here.
