Went for dinner with my father. The restaurant was clean and had a friendly staff. The food was terrific and exceeding expectations. We bought paneer pakora, diwani handi, bullet naan, tandoori roti, and veg dum biryani. All the food was very flavorful and presented nicely. The proportions were large and allowed us to take food home. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

We ordered for the first time as heard about their biryani... for which I gave 2 stars as it was okay not so special or authentic. Along with that we ordered appolo fish. We asked for green sauce. They did not send it..instead upon calling manager she said they give tomato ketchup with appolo fish.. but she did not wanted to accept they forgot or they are cheap she was very rude.not gonna order next time.

Worst food ever, placed the order on Inman branch, but when got there the place was closed had to go to oak tree, when I asked they said they have moved..even when I called they didnt clarify the location was good. Please dont waste your time and money.

I visited this restaurant for the first time on 08/15/2021 around 7 pm. Let me first start of by saying that the Lassi was days old and smelled and tasted horrible. I found hair in the biriyani that I ordered and the server took the hair from me and said it was just one of the ingredients that they put in the food. I would never visit the place agian. They need a whole new team to work and run this establishment.

The piscataway location is WAY better in terms of food and service. Server brought only one menu among two people. Served ketchup w samosa. Food was not as tasty as the piscataway location.

Today on Mothers Day, we ordered food. We have had way better food in Oak tree on several other restaurants. Its very average and on top of that they dont even have Silverware to give for takeout. Thats really not professional way to maintain restaurant.

Disappointed by the food, couldnt taste anything in their food just the overdose of spice! This is NOT Biryani. Their Goat Biryani and Chicken Biryani look and taste exactly the same. Same base and same masalas. Im obviously never coming back! Lots of better Biryani options in the same area, sadly this place isnt for me! Besides the food, the customer service or anything else about the place is nothing worth reviewing either.

Terrible customer service! They mail out coupons only to say they cannot be used. First the excuse was the discount is only for lunch orders. Then they said it is expired. There are no terms and conditions or expiration date listed on the coupon. When I went to pick up a takeout order I looked in the bag and there was only one small container even though I had ordered 3 entrees. The gentleman gave me the wrong order and didnt even apologize. They dont care whether the customer is happy or not. Never coming back; sticking with oak tree road.

I have had in Piscataway persis before and tried the buffet in Edison branch . Wow . They had real good spread ! Loved the Biryani / naan/ chicken fry .. veggie items were also good . Lots of options for both veggies and non veggies. My friend had fish fry and he liked it . Dessert was ok. Overall a very good experience ..

We enjoy bringing our family here to have lunch or dinner. They are very friendly people and greet us everytime we go. We are treated very well. We enjoy the food very much, especially the biryani!

I have no issues with the food but the customer service is terrible. We ordered through Doordash and the order was confirmed but also ready for pick up. We drove twenty minutes to come pick it up only to find the restaurant closed. The lights were turned off and there was no one inside. They were supposed to be open till 10:30 we had reached there by 10pm. We got a text message a few minutes later stating that our order had been cancelled. If our order had been cancelled from the start that would have been fine but we not only wasted our time but also gas. It’s not only annoying but it’s unprofessional.

Aug 14 2019 rakhi with p and m and his parents. Had Malai Kofta (bit sweet, but rich in flavor) and Diwani Handi (bit spicy, ok) for entree. For appetizers: chilli baby corn (ok), mushroom pepper fry (tasted good, but a bit too much black pepper). Had gulab jamun for dessert, it was ok as well. Service was a bit slow, despite being the only customers. The decor is brand new. Good experience overall.

Not like other places where you can taste the same base intact entrées.While trying each entrées, we were not able to pick and choose one as favorite because each one was good.Price :- Decent pricing. Prices here will not kill you.Over all good food.

Ordered Chicken Biryani, Paneer Biryani and egg Biryani. All the three biryanis had the same red base. All the three components chicken, egg, and paneer were filled with red color on them. I would not recommend this place to any person. The people who cook food and eat there repeatedly really do not know what real biryani is supposed to taste like. This is a disaster.I drove 28 miles to get food from this place. Will never again buy from there.

Relatively new place among Indian restaurants around. BYOB allowed in the evenings . They have a good buffet in the afternoons.

I ordered at this restaurant after seeing a 4.5 rating in Google and I ordered a Chicken tikka masala. The chicken was not even fully cooked that I had to endure stomach pain after eating it. The taste was so below average that its so easy to realize that they are using the precooked gravy base (just like many other Indian restaurants do) and just adding some dairy and chicken to it. I know they are famous for biriyani and Its probably my mistake to order a gravy but they had this dish under Most Popular and the least that one expects is for the chicken to be cooked properly. Never go to this place and order anything except biriyani(not sure if even that is worth the 4.5 stars). I am sure no Indians would like this restaurant. There are so many better ones in Oak Tree Rd. This is another typical Indian restaurant for the local Americans who do know the real flavors and taste.

This place was very accommodating and the staff was extremely friendly. The food was amazing! There was a wide selection of veg and non-veg. We had a large party and they treated us courteously. Would come back again!

The staff are so cheerful and quickly make you feel you are in for a good time.This place has some amazing food and highly recommend everyone to try their Delicious Tandoori Chicken, certainly my favorite here.The goat curry, barbecue wings, Chicken and goat biryani are the top dishes in here.I will be a regular here from now. Unlike other restaurants in Edison which price buffet at more than $15 with sub par taste, Persis offers lunch buffet at $10.65 which is not expensive keeping in mind the delicious food they offer.Don’t think, just try this place and you will feel the same.

The restaurant is extremely clean the tables are not too close so you can have a conversation with your friends while enjoying your meal.The food is very tasty and there was a lot of choice of dishes in the buffet. First time visiting this Persis.Good food.Went for buffet today most of the items are good.Fish fry and chicken curry is too good.Goat curry is ok.Taste is good but they didn’t flame the dishes they were not hot should be taking care rest all good.I highly recommend this place worth spending for buffet.Biryani is amazing as always in Persia.

Shwetha is a fantastic hostess, making us feel so welcome and converting our one casual visit 3-4 months ago to weekly regulars! Also, very good food and Some of the best tandoori I’ve eaten 😋. The buffet is excellent and their weekday lunch boxes have become our weekday staple at least once or twice a week.

Absolute disaster! Bone fragment found inside Saag Paneer. If I really wanted to make this an issue I could have . Biryani is the worst, they used some kind of buffalo chicken or chicken 65 left over to use in Biryani. I ordered two and had to throw out one whole container. The location in South Plainfield is much much better and is busy. I should have known when I saw this place in Edison is deserted. There was no one there. I paid the price for convenience and being lazy to drive all the way to South Plainfield. Please stay away from this place. I doubt if they will survive for too long if they continue this trend.

Ordered Veg biriyani family pack, it was uncooked. After calling the restaurant they said you have to put in microwave and cook it. Thats how we give take out orders.Never ordering from here again.

Loved the food! My spouse and I were so pleased with this find. The palak paneer was so good, the cheese tasted like it was made that day, and the spinach as green as could be. The other dishes were equally great, a dal dish, chicken hyderabadi, a biryani. Well be back!

I see the reviews on google for Persis Edison and ordered chicken biryani. It’s really terrible. Food Tastes sweet. What kind of a chef makes biryani sweet? I’m from Hyderabad, India place for worlds best biryani. After tasting the biryani here persis I really went crazy. I ordered chicken biryani and goat biryani both tastes sweet. A chicken appetizer that looks like a curry. I was completely disappointed with my decision. I will not recommend this to an Indian. Especially South Indian.

We ordered chilli chicken and it was under cooked. We ordered 2 biryanis medium spicy and all it contains is pepper masala and my stomach is burning since the time i had food over here. We visited this place as it has good reviews but looks like that isn’t true. Very bad experience and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

I am a regular here. Do a lot of takeouts. Biryani’s are good. Andhra Kodi Vepudu is my favorite. Chicken Hyderabaadi is also good.There are some dishes that I would rate as okay.

Persis is one of our goto favorites.The chicken 65 is spicy and flavorful. Another dish we wouldnt mind coming back for is the Goat Sukha.Tender pieces of goat in an onion masala roast that bursts out amazingness in every bite.
