We pulled out horse out of this place after about 6 months. The owner is letting this place fall apart. The fences and stalls arent maintained correctly. They werent feeding our horse properly, causing her to lose weight. As soon as we moved our horse, the weight came back. We wish this place luck, but unless they adjust their priorities, this place will be out of business soon.

Family bought our daughters horse here and she started lessons at EEC 6 years ago. Our daughter has had the most amazing equestrian journey during that time! We new NOTHING about the horse show world, and Lisa was patient with us and started her slowly, to make sure she was not doing things on the horse that she was not ready for. Lisas experience and teaching has helped my daughters confidence in her equestrian skills. Shes encouraging when she needs to be and tough when she needs to be, like all good coaches are. We have grown to love Lisa, EEC and our fellow show riders and families there. Our daughters skills have improved and led her to multiple class congress championships during the last couple of years. When the horse has any physical or medical issues, we are notified immediately so that it can be addressed. We look forward to watching our daughter continue her equestrian career at EEC.

A wonderful experience for our grandchild. Six years of training, boarding and excellent personal training. Our granddaughter has developed into a confident rider and has had great success at local and national competitions. The owner is tireless in her commitment to her girls.

So grateful for the experience Edmond Equestrian Center has provided for our daughter the past 7 years. Lisa has proven that she is great at instructing all levels and ages - whether you are just starting out or have been riding for years. She gives highly focused one-on-one lessons to improve every aspect of a rider. She also cares deeply for the horses - as well as those that she is connected with through our Oklahoma POA club. I highly recommend EEC!

We have been with Edmond Equestrian for a year. In this year, our daughters riding skills have grown exponentially. The care and love our horse has been given literally saved her life and her future ability to continue to be shown. Lisa as a trainer is so knowledgeable and caring for the girls. It ceases to amaze us how our daughter continues to grow. In our first year with Lisa she took home a National Championship and is in the top of her age group in our state club. We can’t say enough about how much we love Lisa and EEC.We did read a review and it made me sad to hear someone post lies and attack the girls from our barn. We have many friends at every barn. These girls do compete in the arena and still laugh together after. The parents are all like additions to our family. It’s a great team!!

We love Edmond Equestrian and Lisa Matlock!! I own Silver Wind Stables, and have the pleasure of calling Lisa a friend. Shes friendly, knowledgeable, and is happy to help anyone that needs it. We all work together and get along well. The girls that show are kind and friendly to my students. She has a barn full of happy horses and people. Please do not believe every review that is posted online- sometimes despite our best effort, feelings get hurt or our programs are not a fit for a certain personality. Check out Edmond Equestrian- you wont be sorry!

Love this place! EEC has done so much for my horse and I! Boarding is amazing and very well maintained. Horses are always very well taken care of and loved on. I know that my horse will be well taken care of and can fully trust and count on EEC to give my horse some extra loving whenever I am traveling! This is where my horse and been trained and where I take lessons, and I very highly recommend them for all of this! THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!

Going to EEC has brought me so much joy because it makes me who I am as a rider today. My horse Sunny was very sick and we had no idea that she was sick in the first place. Sunny was diagnosed with COPD a breathing disorder or breathing condition. With Lisa’s help Sunny has been cured but still has COPD. She can’t have hay or being a dusty area so we have to be very careful with what she does with Lisa’s help she has made me a better rider and made me betterWith my attitude, my confidence, and everything else that I need to be a good rider in the future and to be a good trainer when I decide to train not only has Lisa givenMe confidence, she helps everyone becalm safe and help people with their attitudes even when they feel like they can’t do it even when they really. not only has Lisa given me the confidence I need when I go to nationals or regionals she is always there no matter what she Is doing. She always picks you up when you fall. And when you do bad in the class she always tells you what you did wrong and tells you how you can fix it she is never mean to anybody she makes everyone feel loved even a lesson when you feel frustrated with your horse she calms you down and tells you what you need to do to fix it. Whatever you need to do to fix it.in a way Lisa help save Sunni‘s life and now she’s healthy as a horse can be. I wanna give a big thanks to Lisa at EEC for helping my horse be the best she can be.

I brought my horse to EEC at the beginning of the summer and she had been there less than three weeks before she suffered a devastating injury due to what I believe to be the poor conditions of the turnout paddocks and the actions of a trainer. That was four months ago now and my horse is still on full stall rest (at a different facility) and its still unknown if she will ever be rideable again. After she came back from the emergency vet I was told EEC would help me with her wound care but that so quickly turned into Lisa making me feel like I was a burden for coming to her with questions, until she flat out told me I needed to stop coming to her with my problems because she didnt have time for it. I was a first-time horse owner and had never dealt with so much as a paper cut on a horse, and suddenly found myself left alone to deal with a very large and serious open wound. When I toured the place I asked and was told that water buckets were dumped daily, and immediately upon move-in found that to be untrue. The water buckets are disgusting, the hay is always moldy, the stalls are unbelievably unlevel and so dusty. There is so much staff turnaround because of how poorly the workers are treated. The owner gets so defensive and confrontational when you come to her with any questions or concerns that you will very quickly learn to keep your mouth shut. So many horses here are in poor health. The paddocks are overpopulated and unsafe (sharp tree stumps, loose wire and metal cattle feeders in paddocks).Ive debated writing a review but I so dearly wish I had been warned about this place before I brought my horse here.

One of my relatives recently brought their horse here. Now she’s all skinny and can barely walk without looking like a skeleton. Their barn is old, paint is chipped everywhere. Their indoor is really skinny, and if Lisa (the trainer) is giving a lesson you can’t use it. The outdoor is tiny and always flooded. The stalls are Tiny, no padding, and uneven. They have some outdoor stalls but they are small and concrete. They have a trail, but it’s extremely skinny and can barely fit a horse through it.The instructor is mean, and doesn’t know how to ride. She yells at you for doing slightly wrong things. She will get on your horse and beat them until they listen to her. I’ve seen lesson where people get left out as well. She talks about the surrounding barns and how “bad” they are. Overall just rude.I have gone to a few of the shows, Ok Sooner POA. They recently merged their OK POA Club with Sooner POAC. The shows are well put together, organized, and hosted by Kathy. (The owner of Stone Ridge Stables) the shows are fun on their own but with Lisa their she’s just a mess. (I’ll get into that in a second) they have anything from jumping to, pleasure to, games!! They have two more barns that show their; Stone Ridge Stables And Silver Wind Stables. The girls from those two barns are really nice and supportive to my daughter! Everyone claps, cheers each other on, and gives them tips after they ride. But the EEC girls just stare and don’t do anything, just being rude. They just talk about how bad the other girls are. They aren’t that good either, they show off everything and flex on all of their money 24/7.All Lisa does is control them, they can’t do anything on their own.Now Lisa on the other hand.....She will yell at the judges if her girls don’t place good, yell at the other girls for beating hers. She tells her kids how bad everybody else did and tells them their better. And if their stalled next to you you’ll be sorry. She always talks about how “good” they are and all of their money, And are just unfriendly and rude. Please, please, please, don’t waste your money going here......
