Full disclosure: I am not a fighter, and I was nervous about starting to train at a gym.Id like to say first of all: everyone, coaches and other students, treat you with patience and respect. They are very welcoming, and eager to teach. I feel like every day I grasp a little more. The coaches are amazing. The value is all there too, there is no other place around you can get this kind of instruction for the price. I pay around $100/month for as many classes as I can attend. PRIDE is awesome, the people are awesome, and the instruction is practical and realistic. I love it.

Training at Pride Mixed Martial Arts is by far one of the best things you can do! I began training at Pride when I was around seven years old. As a shy kid, the idea of entering a new place with new people was terrifying to me, but within my first couple of weeks, the gym had already begun to feel like home and the coaches like family. Now, ten years later, I am a first degree black belt under the incredible Coach Epps!My parents main reason for putting me in martial arts was, of course, so I could learn self defense. But Pride has taught me so much more than that. At Pride, you will develop numerous traits such as confidence, self discipline, focus, self control, and perseverance. As soon as you walk through the doors, you become a part of the Pride family, and form long standing relationships with the both the coaches and your training partners. Pride has opened so many doors for me to grow into the best version of myself I can be- from getting my black belt, to training on the competition team, to becoming a coach. The sky is the limit at Pride!I would highly recommend training at Pride to anyone, whether you are looking for anything from a good, fun work out to a lifelong dedication. Join the Pride!!

I interviewed about a dozen training facilities in the area before I visited the folks at Pride. None of the other places felt right and I was starting to feel like I would never find a place that felt good to me, but the minute I walked into Pride I knew I was home and I joined on the spot. Heres how much like home it is to me - Im moving to Atlanta next week and one of the hardest parts about leaving is not being able to train with the amazing folks at Pride. How many times have you ever been able to say that? Go check them out and find your own home at Pride. It will be one of the best decisions you have ever made for yourself.

Pride is not just a place to take your kids to learn martial arts. They are more than just a group of people who show up to teach a class. The staff at pride is top notch. They mold every student willing to learn into a better person. They take the time to teach them the basics at first. But then, as they progress, they challenge each student to do more. One of the things I love about them is that they discuss life. They talk about real life situations and how they, as students, should react. The pride family took us in whide going through a extreme hardship. They didnt do it because we were friends or because they had to. No, they did it because every child at pride is a part of pride. We are a family, and they took care of us when we needed it most. When we chose to sign our child up to pride, we honestly didnt know what it entailed. But today I can say that it was the best decision we ever made. I have no doubt that our child will be a productive member of society, that they will be resilient, that they will strive to do more and be better. These and many more reasons are why we still go to pride and will continue for many years.

There are not enough words to describe Pride Martial Arts. It is not just another martial arts school that teaches you how to kick and punch, it goes so much deeper than this. They teach you how to live within the art, everything you learn can be put into your daily routine, from the discipline of daily push-ups to respecting those around you, and the strength to get through any obstacle that you need to over come in or outside the school. Respect, honor, pride, love, family and friends, church, are all apart of what makes Pride stand out from several other schools across the nation.I started with Pride about 10-12 years ago, and I can honestly say it has changed my life. I would recommend Pride whether you are an adult looking to get in shape or self-defense or looking for a wonderful place for your children to learn and grow. Loosing weight was the impetus for me to start martial arts. It has turned into a great journey of becoming a student of the varying arts that Pride and the great team of instructors teach. The real key for me, however, was the heart of Coach Epps. He cares about the whole person of each of his students and pushes each one to excel in all that they do, not just martial arts. Its his calling and it exudes through out the school and all the instructors.

What I received though has been so much more than any advertising gimmick can sell you. I am challenged, inspired, motivated and so much more because of the training Ive received. Ive become empowered from the tools theyve given me to lead the life I always imagined but was too cowardly to initiate. I could write a 5 star book. If you want to tap into that part of your psyche that youre scared to acknowledge, come see what Pride is about. The physical training is just an added bonus. I joined Pride Mixed Martial Arts about 4 months ago, within that time i have learned a lot. The coaches are all very helpful the upper belts are also very helpful which to me makes my experience that much more, i dont feel left out. My main goal was to take self defense classes with my new career i really need to know how to defend myself. I love the self defense classes if i could do self defense all day 8 days a week i would, but I do what i can when i can. I also take the kickboxing with the encouragement of the coaches, but i find my self wanting to do the self defense more, but i have come to realize that both class teach you certain thing that the other would not, so my reluctance for kickboxing and the push of the coaches has paid off on my training and i have learned a lot, I am so grateful that the coaches have pushed me to be better, my self reliance has become stronger. When you walk away from a class you fill your self wanting to do more. Me i fill more alive, like i can do anything i set my mind to. Coach Epps is very thorough and i value that as a new comer to martial arts. Coach Ryan is very thorough also he sees a Pride member or a first time person struggling with a combo he goes the extra mile to help that person, which is very valuable. I know that Coach Epps has made sure his instructors are trained very well. All the coaches go the extra mile to help train you to be your best. My son has had an amazing experience with Pride! He has been diagnosed with high functioning Autism and SEVERE ADHD and he is not in to much of anything that would be considered physical activity. My husband and I checked out several schools in our area (moore) before making the drive to meet with Coach Jessie. I will say that right off the bat we were very impressed with her and the information she gave us. We did not enroll our son with expectations that he would excel necessarily in Martial Arts, but that he would excel in his ability to hold focus and take direction from others (I homeschool him as well). What I loved most about the classes were that the instructors NEVER treated him different and always expected 100% out of him. They never let him use his disability as an excuse and any time he said he couldnt do something they always pushed him to try his best regardless. They were extremely supportive and very patient with him.

Its a great place to learn martial arts, honestly its also the only one Ive known, I started here and never left for years, I like the feeling after leaving because everytime I left pride I felt like I learned alot, they teach you what to do in real life scenarios and that is what I liked best, because then you wouldnt have to learn the hard way. Not only this, the way I grew up I was a teen and the things the instuctors taught the youth were great things such as: integrity, self-control, perseverance, and self-confidence as well other things, I remember a whole lot of the good times I had there as a teen, then I went to the adult classes for a couple of more years, I met some good people to train with and it was different from the youth classes of course, I enjoyed the adult classes as well because the learning never stops, there was always something to learn from all of it. The main instructor; epps, is a great one Im glad I got to learn from him because he teaches everything he knows, he doesnt keep secrets to himself, I suggest experiencing it for yourself to get a good grip of what Im trying to say, as I myself will start training there again someday because I enjoyed it very much so.

My daughter has been training at PMMA for six years and its been a great experience for her. All kinds of research shows that kids who participate in sports have a higher self esteem and are involved in less risky behaviors, so my daughter has been participating in sports from a very young age. She did gymnastics for a lot of years before she transferred to martial arts, and she finally left because the coaches were terrible. They tore the kids down, but they never built them back up. The coaches are PMMA are terrific. They are tough, but they are also empowering...and they can be understanding and kind, as well. Coach Jessi is a second mother to my daughter and Coach Epps is like a crazy uncle. One of the best parts of PMMA is the variety of classes they offer. My daughter has recently added Brazilian Ju Jitsu to her weekly class lineup and loves it. Shes also started taking the fitness classes.
