In full disclosure, I sit on the Board of the school and have for several years, but my review is mostly as a parent. I have all great things to say about Stella Maris Academy. When you’re invested in the success of your children’s education and life to come when they leave home, you take special considerations in how to help them succeed. The schools they attend are a really important part of their lives. It involves things they learn at home that a school can help encourage to rise to greater heights — qualities like study habits, respect, discipline, kindness, building good friendships and relationship skills, and developing strong moral characters. Faith & Education are important to us, and SMA helps us achieve those for our children. We know what it takes to be successful in life, from getting into good colleges, graduating in fields like engineering and business, and working in good, long-lasting careers. We did it through a public school setting, but nowadays, it‘s been apparent to us that more individualized attention in a smaller academy that focuses on education for education’s sake has been truly helpful to our children advancing in similar ways that we have done. Collaboration & communication — the expectations are clear. If you focus on what’s important and find a school that leads and guides you in those directions, you have a recipe for potential success. My family is grateful for this Traditional Catholic school.
