Teachers undermine parents which presents the issue of children thinking they do not have to listen to their parents. I have heard of parents having DHS called on them over minor sunburns and bug bites. Basically, if you are not at the top of the popularity contest or if you dont live in town with lots of money, you and your children will be looked down upon.If you call or go up to the school about your child being late or absent, even with probable cause, your child will still be unexcused.I was very excited about Yocum at first because my daughters is beyond her years smart and I thought Yocum would be the most stimulating for her. The years she was at Northwest, she would wake up early and happy and ready for school, even on days she was sick. She now cries or just gets depressed when speaking of Yocum and has even asked me to homeschool her when the thought appalled her before.I guess the kids are finding out how life actually is. If you dont work downtown or have lots of money, youre seen as Nothing.
