You can’t beat the family environment where everyone helps each other achieve their flying dreams

It was a very fun experience, my instructor is very friendly and me and my family had a great time.

Even though the airplanes are not the newest, this school has the most competitive prices in the Los Angeles area. This school teaches from 0 hours all the way to CFI. They own cessnas and pipers, even have a multiengine. A great variety of instructors from all walks of life. Would recommend to someone who wants to learn to fly or just simply would like to go for a scenic flight.

Don’t waste your money and time. Very old airplane basically you are not safe. CFI have no experience, they just care building hours and don’t care about your training

Had a great time. Flew a Cessna 172 and my instructor Ted was super informative and great at making this first time experience Awesome. I highly recommend this school to anyone wanting to learn from the best. Affordable and professional. What more could you ask for. Thanks again Ted .

In mid Feb 2013, after researching all different flight schools in the east LA area I decided to get my initial CFI at the Universal Air Academy in Brackett airport. After 4 weeks, my training was completed and passed on my first attempt. My instructor Alex Reyes (with too many thousands of flying hours) was very knowledgeable and informative in giving advices during the training. I was amazed by his superior level of expertise and how someone like him could be so modest and supportive at the same time.Also, I would like to mention that there was absolutely no hidden cost for my training. Everything was as quoted.The school is located outside busy airspace and in a perfect location for flight training and if you’re looking for a flight school, I would definitely recommend this one.

The instructors here are friendly and professional. The school facilities are well/! aircraft are well maintained. I recommended all flyer and student come to fly in this school. i got my IR and CPL here!!!

I called and was told they were open til 6pm. I showed up at 1:40 pm and they informed me they were closing early. 2:15 drive in traffic for nothing. They lost out on a $9000 private pilot client.

I got my private license at Universal. The instructor were alright but the planes are old, very old. The place is packed with Middle Eastern students. Last summer, in POC I crossed their Mechanic EI working on a Cessna in the middle of night in the open field. Apparently fixing a seized piston!

Everybody says, Shin, where did you learn that? I tell everybody that I learned how to teach from each and every student and customer I flew with. Come visit Universal Air Academy to fly Helicopters. Youd be surprised of how simplified helicopter flying can be!

Had a reservation set and ready to go for me and some friends, at the last minute on the way to the airport they call and cancel our flight for no reason.Before this happened we were scheduled for another flight that was canceled as well telling me they could not locate the pilot.Poor service.
