I dont know how it the school is today, but I am telling you my experience when I was in school.If your kid has a learning disability, either good luck dealing with some bad teachers or please dont apply them here. At one point they didnt have any choices for me & one of the 4th/5th grade special education teachers told me that I had to take pills in order to focus.From 1st to 3rd grade was kinda great. Although, 3rd grade started to get bad due to bullying. The school never fixed the issue even though they advertise to stop bullying.I always remember the school lunches being decent to disgusting. At one point my mom had to lie to the school that I was allergic to one of the meals, so that I could have at least something fresh from the school.I remember the office ladies being very nice around me and the nurse as well. Although I would spend a lot of time in the nurses office because of health and personal issues.In a nutshell, I wouldnt suggest you taking your child to this school unless its really necessary.

Its a very perfect School they treat you like family

By far the worst school my kids have been to. I transition my daughter from La Puente district in 4th grade and in the 2 years she was there she had about 4 teachers and i dont know how many substituents because the teachers kept quiting. I could never get a hold of the principal and forget about the office staff. They dont even acknowledge you when you come in. The nurse had to come out of her corner to assist me because the ladies were to busy talking about how so and so is quiting so they where going to try an apply for their job. My little one attended kindergarten there and is about to finish. I had to call the school to find our they do not have any kindergarten promotion. I really feel my little one has been cheated. I am really considering requesting a transfer. There is so much communication in regards to all their meetings but hardly any in regards to what really affects the kids. And dont get me started on the conditions of the school. A lake when it rains. Really???? and no i am not exaggerating. The kids named it Baker Lake

I had Mrs Hirabayashi for kinder and for first grade I had Mrs Villanueva and for second grade I had Mrs Reyes but the my class went to Mr Montoya then I moved to La Habra in second grade to El Cerrito Elementary for third grade I had Mrs Goodman and she is nice

Be repair if you send your children to this school. 90% Spanish speaking, not a English speaking school. PTA meeting, teachers only speaking Spanish. Unorganized events. Teacher even spells wrong when corrected student homework, horrible and its a joke if asking me. Principle irresponsible when comes to child safety. Bully not neutral when incident happen. School nutritional are horrible. Foods look like dogs food. Wasting $$$$ on this, 99.99% kids throw it to trash can. Every 1-2 weeks my child got insure or beat up by other kids and teacher and principal not even know what happen but blamed to my kid fault.El Monte school district needs to come and evaluate this school about their practice in many subjects. There are many things to be upset about this school. Glad that i able to transfer my child to another school and he is doing much better than here. Thanks gods i dont have to worry when picking him up every day.

Worst school to put your child in. staff does not care for the chdren and only care about their pay. Just ask old students.

Dont take bullying serious ..my daughter has been having problems with a boy in her class that hits her.reported it to the principal and makes excuses for the boys actions..if problem proceeds I will go to the district
