I worked for this school as tournament dealer for a year because i was told i had to do this job to get experience or i was never going to get hired for a full time california games dealer job, which i later found out is not true if you ask anybody who works in the casino as full time employees. The tournament dealer job does not get any tips and no hourly wage& no health benefits! I only got paid by how many tables i do and the school gets a percentage of how much i make the school tricked me and made fake promises! I NEVER even got hired by the casino and i worked for the school instead. The school used me to make money and to make the owner more rich. I am so sad that almost all my classmates have this experience. :( waste of time and money paying for classes!!

Im uncertain about the tuition but know that if you call the school, the fees are fair for the instructional number of hours you receive. Additionally, the tuition has possibly gone up a little since I last attended the school and the school has upgraded its poker dealer program to include all poker games; when I attended the school, the poker course was limited to tournament poker. I dont specifically remember the tuition. But, the school, wanting to help me and all its students, allowed me to deal tournament poker as soon as I was almost or getting better at dealing, such that I could handle dealing at a live poker tournament. I was paid for those gigs from the school and could have applied some of my earnings toward my tuition, had I chosen to do that.But, on a personal basis, please allow me to tell you, on a personal basis, how very much this school has meant to me, in helping me become a good poker dealer, able to pass auditions and get jobs. I would not be where I am today without their assistance and training. Im even planning to deal the World Series of Poker this year and because of the help of the L.A. Dealers Training Center, I know I will have poker dealing jobs, for as long as I want to continue to deal. She invited me to come to the school as many times as I needed and watch the students and the teachers. All of the teachers were either current or former casino dealers (in both the California games and poker games) and all had many years of experience and knowledge.When I finally decided to enroll, sometime in September 2015, I think it was, I wasnt attending school regularly, at first. As a result, Sherry had a long talk with me about whether I really wanted to do this. She offered to refund my tuition. She wanted me to be happy.I felt my happiness would be learning to be a dealer, so I put my nose to the grindstone, worked closely with the teachers at the school and learned the poker language, so I could talk the players language. Very important. I also learned how to hold and pitch cards, without flipping them. I learned how to properly stack chips, read hands and do all those things necessary to becoming a good poker dealer. Then, when I had a sort of good handle on things, Sherry and her school sent me out on dealing gigs at all the casinos in the area, including the Bicycle Casino, Hustler Casino, Hollywood Park Casino and Commerce Casino. Tournament dealing gave me the confidence I needed to pass auditions for dealing at the casinos.
