I am an alumni of Western Tech College, so when I was looking into the Business Administration program at different schools. I was glad that I could come back to WT. I really like the environment, staff and students. I had no issue getting enrolled. What I like is that you are walked through the whole process. The instructors are professional and are willing to help you pass your classes. One of the best schools Ive attended.

Love the hands on experience of all programs they offer. Currently getting my MBA and at first I was hesitant, but the instructors and even the program director are very involved which made talking to them easier. They genuinely care about your education and for you to accomplish a personal goal of graduating.

My experience at Western Tech has always gave me a sense of security. From day one I seen first hand the great quality of networking they have with different employers. Every time I meet someone willing to go into college to obtain a degree I recommend Western Tech. I want to say Thank you to Western Tech for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime. God bless you.

As a veteran I encourage all other veterans do NOT attend this school. When they say they’re for profit they live by that. Graduated from their tuner program which is by far the worst program you could attend at the school. No cars to work on - If you didn’t bring in you’re own car you didn’t have anything to work on in the shop, and it had to relate to the class you were in so enjoy those power points. There was one car a red mustang for the tuner program that we worked on one time and never touched it again.Instructors - Out of the eight instructors we had two were good. Two actually brought in their own cars for us to work on and even they would say how the school treats them poorly and won’t give them what they need to teach correctly.Staff - Horrible they give you the run around and nothing gets done, They have a handful of good staff. But most do not help you they just send you to the next person. The VA lady shouldn’t be working there, countless times & countless people got their pay messed up because of how paperwork got submitted.Education - Basics if you already know about cars don’t go, just going for the tools isn’t worth it.Do not go here vets, don’t waste 18 months of your G.I. Bill like I did.

Ill say this with my experience I was a unique case because I transferred programs halfway through and then transferred back finish out both the programs I wanted to be in.But anyways Ill get to my experiences right now. Sense we did the initial transfer to the other course there has been zero communication there has been zero guidance no assistance with anything especially Financial. They mention that our entire course would be covered through the VA and the post 911 bill which is what I used to attend. I double checked with them and everything literally today and after being told every time Ive applied for Pell grant in the past that either I make too much or that Im not qualified to accept the Pell Grant that( keep in mind though that I have no other income right now and no form of assistance other than the post 911 bill)I am essentially being left with at least $7,000 worth of debt after they told us multiple times upon entering the date program that we would be completely covered financially with the 9/11 bill which apparently was a blatant lie Im not sure however currently theyre trying to do something to assist me but I pretty much am expecting to pay it out of pocket for this...Im still kind of hoping theyll come around to helping me and assisting me with these issues that theyre abandoning me with but well see theyre finally kind of trying to help me out I thinkI urge every veteran to avoid this school at all costs though. It isnt worth the stress and strain for a degree you can get for 10k on your own by just getting everything to do the propath certs vs paying close to 60k to get it with the school...

I came to Western Tech in looking to enroll in the Automotive Technology course. The staff at Western Tech were very organized and helpful in getting me situated. I was greeted very well and given a tour of the facility by Natalia Morales. The tour was great and I really appreciated her knowledge of the equipment as she explained everything to me. She was very helpful in answering all my questions and explaining how the class would work. She was very professional and courteous. I dont know if I could have had the same experience anywhere else. Once again great staff and experience.

I am about to graduate Western Tech, currently completing my internship. I have two ASEs already, about to take several more over the next few weeks and Im employed full time at my internship site. I have loved going to WT, its an excellent school and they really genuinely care about the welfare of their students. No school or business can be perfect obviously, but they do the absolute best for their students that they can and that makes all the difference. They have provided me with some amazing opportunities and experiences and I am so glad I chose WT.

First off, the 4 stars is due to the fact this school is not the most economical. However, the networking in the community is why I mainly rated it at 4. The other reason is due to the fact you receive a nice matco toolbox. As far as policies are concerned, at another Texas school I attended, you were excused for veterans appointments because the VA schedules them at their convenience. This is partly the reason I attend at night. I would highly suggest moving to another location after graduating as the starting wages around this area are generally low as my husband and others I know only receive 9 an hour starting out at a dealership. If you have an issue, the staff here are helpful. I would only suggest that knowledge is not enough, that being able to mete it out to students is of most importance and instructors vary in knowledge and ability. My suggestion is to research on your own. With that being said, when I graduate, Ill be a bit better off and more knowledgeable about automobiles, Ill own my own toolbox so if this is what your looking for along with a two year Monday through Friday commitment, then head to admissions...

I am currently a D.A.T.E student at western technical college. They are the first in this country to start this program to help match the demands for deisel techs that are need. They have instructors that have been in this field of study and know passing on the knowledge to their students. They are also within the top five in the country with diamler and other areas of studies. I recommend that anyone that wants to be one of the best heavy diesel techs to come to this technology college.

I graduated in 09 and it was a waste of time and money. They could never keep instructors as they would either quit or never show up. All I received is dirt cheap education. They never practiced what they preached...preparing you for the real world. At the same rate, I only went through to completing the degree was for that worthless paper.Nothing but lies and greedy management making profit. Western Tech is the best place to start and finish. At EPCC, I started but I never knew when I would finish lol. I am glad I made the decision to enroll at WT, it is expensive but the overall experience is worth it 100%. I learned a lot in the 2 years I studied. The hands-on experience is awesome! Dont expect to pay for the program and get a degree that easy. If you work hard and put in the effort, you will earn a degree and a good job before you even graduate.

I was looking into going to UTI in Texas or Arizona for Auto Technology and I found WTU online and read about there program and was very interested in checking it out. I called around and spoke to Tom and he was very helpful throughout the whole process and gave me all the information I needed. They gave me almost 3k off my bill because my father was in the military. I thought that was really awesome and all the Staff were very helpful getting me enrolled for August 5th 2019. They provide you with a Matco Tool set and a laptop to start and then have you do an internship with a local dealer when your finishing up your program. 19 months with hands on experience is better than going to regular college I think because Corporate guys have told me they rather hire students who have some experience than Students with Degrees and no experience. Im really excited to begin this Summer !!! I havent even had a tour yet but I know its going to awesome

Some may say it sucks or its not worth it, but most of the students saying this dont try hard enough and want it all easy. I bet these are the students who asked for the homework without putting the effort to study and become better in their field of study. Western Tech has opened many doors for me and helped to expand my knowledge as a Diesel Mechanic. The 2 yr program was worth it all the way! Great instructors shout out to Salvador Varela a great instructor learned alot from him.

Its an ok school and I am sorta happy i am taking it however it is very money hungry and very expensive to begine with. I also noticed some of the assignments within the textbooks are not hardly covered within the chapter they are going over. All in all I would recomend looking into EPCC first as I think they would be able to offer a better service and experience with a more rounded set of teachers due to western tech teachers all having different standards per class and dont seem to hold the same level of caring at times.Replying to your reply but its not just the tuition that makes it seem like a money grab but also the price of things (for example the uniforms are nearly 80 bucks but they are made in bangladesh for about my estimate 2 bucks) now i understand the need to make some overhead but there a point where its rediculous

First off this is a school that focuses on your passion. Saying that I highly suggest that if your going to get enrolled wether it be the automotive diesel tuning welding nursing etc. that your absalutly sure that is what u want to do and that u like it a lot because this school isnt cheap. As far as instructors go u got your good ones and your bad ones just like everywhere else. They will help you get a job at the end and they will have u start an internship program. The staff are very helpful and very caring towards your needs Im almost finished and the only complain I have is that we didnt get enough shop time and if we did it wasnt all about our field of subject. Other then that they give u the tools to learn u just gotta soak up whatever they have and make sure to take advantage of all there opportunities including the ASE certifications. Those are key.!
