Raphael Hernando Middle seems to allow students to be made fun of by teachers. Last year my daughter was told by her math teacher that she was a lost cause and of course she didn’t know the answer, she expected nothing less. My sister in law passed and then that teacher proceeded to tell my daughter the day of the funeral that if she didn’t submit her test by 5 she would fail her. Now spoke with Ms. Hairston who is not allowing shorts in school. Very condescendingly stated she didn’t know how anyone could misinterpret the policy, when apparently several parents did because kids were in shorts. Then proceeded to say if my child wore shorts and I picked her up from being reprimanded she would get Sac, fail school anyways, so don’t bother sending her to school. My daughter is intimidated to speak up in class because now she feels the teachers will demean her, but with this principal running things and how she speaks to parents it all makes sense.

I had to go to tech support to have my sons laptop fixed but I was in and out right away with no issues and a laptop for my son. I did have an appointment to have it fixed though so it made the transaction fast.

Eastlake is not a good school.. My childs teacher doesnt teach at all.. Sometime my child doesnt go to class for a week cuz the teacher is not there...

Superintendent got in a fight with YISD superintendent on tax payers money during a conference out of town. He was defending himself but when studens get in fights both are punished. Double standard when nothing happened to him. After all both were drunk. Not who we want representing our district. If the board doesnt fix this we will fix the board.
