SCHOOL NOT MILITARY FRIENDLY. Messed up my school tuition and said to use my husbands benefits to fix there mistakes. This school DOES NOT care about students. They said they solved my problem but they did it the minute I stopped attending there school. THIS SCHOOL NEED TO BE INVESTIGATED. Stay away!!! Sexist teachers. Threatening to fail you if you have a doctors appointment. Teachers show up hours late to class

I graduated from Pima medical institute as a young single mother of two I Dont recommend starting if you Dont have a reliable support system because of the academic work load, its impossible to work, take care of you infants, and stay on top of your assignments & maintain a high GPA score, all at once. sacrifices will have to be made in order for you to obtain completion just the realistic side of things credits from other schools are not accepted/ or transferable only if you went to other located Pimas, this school is prefect for high school graduates who are looking for affordable certifications and or degrees.

Im a graduate from here (Dec 2017).I went to three different schools to finally graduate and complete the MA program. You need to be serious about your education in order for you to pass. You are given all the tools there if you really want too. Not to mention all the positive instructors and staff they have here. Id like to see more positive reviews from graduates like me. Where are they? These people really care but you have to stay positive. That will always determine your outcome.

Horrible school.. did all my classes for the VA program been out for over a month now and still can’t get a externship site. No one knows what there doing and no one will give you a straight answer. They fired like three teachers when I was there and they were good teachers what they need to do is fire the career services people they aren’t doing anything to help anyone. But let me tell you they are quick to take your money.

I was very excited and really had my hopes up with this school. Everything was pictured perfect but it’s horrible. More than half of there staff have been fire. They have teachers running from one class to another. How could it be possible to teach two classes at the same time in different classrooms? For externship they say they will be able to work with me and then told me that they will see what they can do. They dont realize that most of the students DOES work for a living and have families too. Its not that I can quit my job to do my externship. Thats why in the first place I selected the evening program and now they saying they only have availability in the mornings and that I only have one more week to keep me on leave of absence and that if they dont find anything in the evening I will have to re-enroll again.. Not to mention that Im also getting letters From loan companies when they NEVER mention this to me. When they told me that I didnt have to worry about anything , that I was all covered because of my income and ect ect... Im very upset . How unprofessional and disorganized.

Im in the vet assistant program would not recommend this school to anyone!! all they want is your money, and they dont have any accommodations if you have a job, they fell like it is OK to drop your whole life. MENDY HAD THE ODASITY TO ASK IF SHE NEEDED TO WRITE A LETTER SO I CAN GET DAYS OFF OF WORK, umm hello I NEED MONEY TO GET TO THE SCHOOL, also they threaten to terminate you majority of the time, the teaching staff is horrible they just sit and read power point to you then to actually teach DO NOT EVER ATTEND PIMA FOR ANY REASON LOOKS LIKE THEY WILL TRY TO SCREW YOU OVER ANYTHING

I totally love this place, I enrolled for the Medical Assistant program and I am now working at a pediatricians office doing what I went to school for. Im sorry to the rest of the students that have had a bad experience here but that can happen anywhere. The school does not control the job market and they dont guarantee you will get a job. You still have to put the work in like anyone else. I got so ambitious I even enrolled in the Health Care Administration Associates online and the school was able to help me with that. PIMA has also picked up students from other schools closing but nobody gives them credit for that. PIMA has been stepping it up, love this place, especially the MA program instructors. Mrs. Cantu, Mrs, Escobedo, Mr. Enriquez, and Mr. Rascon are absolutely the best instructors. Go PIMA!!!

Oh the programs the have is great the Drs who teach the programs are great. But the staff in the front are absolutely horrible financial aid is horrible and for anyone going with Military benifits I suggest you DO NOT ATTEND , the lady who is in charge of any va benifits apparently waists her time assisting us. Has no printed policy to back up anything she tells you and will most likely avoid you if youve seen her more then once..

This school is all about money. Before anything was done I repeatedly told them I have college credits and had all of my biology classes and medical terminology classes done with a total of 55 credits but they only took 7 and told me that medical classes dont transfer over but I was always told that biology classes are core classes then they repeatedly tried to get me to sign up for loans so I just declined to even attend this school because out of the things Ive read about no where does it say those classes dont transfer over or was it ever mentioned in any meeting I attended it only stated that class will transfer over if they are equal to or higher with grades no less than a C and my grades are greater than a C and my credit hours for those classes are higher. (Radiography programs)

Last year my wife attempted to start their vet tech program. First the man enrolling her lied about the cost he gave us covering both the vet assistant and vet tech program. We both asked him numerous times because it seemed low to us for both of the programs. He kept insisting that the price was for both. Then he also lied about her getting right into the vet tech program because of her initial entry test score. On my wifes first day, her instructor informed the class that going on to vet tech depended on how well you do in the vet assistant program. After a week my wife got called into the financial aid office and was told she needed to figure out payment plans when we were originally told it was all covered from everything she applied for before she strated, FAFSA and grants. She was also told the actual full price of both the assistant and tech program together, which was a huge difference from what the man who enrolled her told us. What we later found out was, because Im a veteran, they automatically assumed she was using VA benefits to cover the left over cost after what FAFSA and grants covered, even after we told him she could not use my VA benefits. They didnt ask or anything. So she spent the next week stressing on applying for student loans. We found out we made too much for that. So the school dropped her. Months later we get a bill stating she owes them money. They made the mistakes and said she was good to start, they assumed the left over cost was being covered by VA, even though we told the man at enrollment that she could not use my VA benefits, and didnt even inform us that there were any additional costs needing to be covered after what she got from FAFSA and grants. Yet they want money for their mistake. My wife was so excited to finally know what she wanted a degree in. She was ecstatic about this journey, and because of some dishonest staff and unorganized school with a huge lack of communication , that was all taken away from her. It may be beautiful on the inside and the staff may be super friendly, but be very cautious when looking into this school.

Besides expensive programs in general. Half of the stuff is unhelpful and rude. Specially on the OTA program. I wished somebody told me ahead of time what problems this program has before I signed for.1st. They tell you how amazing jobs opportunities are out there when is not true. 2nd. The director of the program Eugenia Gonzales has a really bad reputation among the OT community, that some clinics dont want to give pima students a chance because of her.3rd. There are not enough sites in town for students to do field work (clinical training). So many of us were sent out to differents cities. Like Austin, Midland. They dont care if we have jobs, kids, or financial resourse to pay for expenses. Pima doesnt pay for anything if they send us out.4th. Some of us that we satisfied complete the program and pass the NBCOT are still unemployed as COTAs but of course now we have to pay for our loans. Hope nobody goes thru for what Im going now and think twice before enrolling here.
