Fusion is an incredible gym to train at. Not only are the instructors top notch and pay incredible attention to detail, but they also are welcoming and encouraging.Ive never been very fitness oriented and was so nervous trying Jiu-Jitsu, but Marta, Maebelle, Jeff, Ian, and Kyle made me feel right at home. In the Women Empowered class Marta and Maebelle worked attentively with me until I gained my confidence, and now the moves feel like second nature.I feel confident and present in my body and what I would do if I were ever in a bad situation - something everyone woman should know.I cant recommend this place enough for martial arts, but also for its encouraging and welcoming community. They truly care about their students and it shows in how everyone connects and learns with one another.

Five Stars all the way. There are too many good things to say!I did the jiu jitsu classes for almost two years before I had to move across county. The culture is great, everyone makes it point to learn your name and get to know you. They take lessons at your pace. If you can only make it once week and learning is slow, its no problem. If you want to go everyday and roll you can.Master Kim-- Jeff, really makes a huge difference as well. He instructs a variety of other martial arts such as Judo and Kyuki-do. He really is a master of multiple arts and it comes through in the self defense and jiu jitsu classes. He has obviously been teaching for a very long time and knows how to structure a class and explain and demonstrate concepts in understandable way. If you have been rolling for years or its your first time I guarantee you will improve! When I told him I had to relocate across they country, Jeff spent a lot of extra time reviewing and getting me through to my last test, you can tell he very much cares about your progress. They also offer Muay Thai classes and many people would double it up with the jiu jitsu classes-- not something I did but the guys who did do it got a great work out.If you have researched other classes you may think that this school limits you by making you focus on certain set of self-defense skills but I have rolled at A LOT of other gyms since I have left (as a 4 stripe white belt) and it has been extremely easy to transition to other gyms and see that those moves they make you learn are ESSENTIAL! Some schools tend to jump all over the board on skills which can be very confusing for a new student. If you are at all interested in the martial arts or getting a good workout, check out this gym. They really do help you to reach the goals you want even going out of their way to do so.

I’ve been to 9 other MMA gyms in the Chicago area and this is by far the best one with the most professional instruction by Jeff, Ian, and Kyle.

This is one of the best martial arts schools Ive ever been associated with. Ive trained Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido and now Jiu-Jitsu for most of my life and the instructors at Fusion are some of the best ever. The Gracie University program thats taught is first class too.

When looking for a master of a skill, whether it be within the world of Martial Arts or outside of it, the are certain traits that are present. The Muay Thai instructor, Ian Alexander, instructs from a level of experience that cant be faked. In short, Ians knowledge and abilities can be backed up by in class demonstrations and his own personal fight record outside the gym. The Muay Thai classes are well planned yet flexible for changes in the lesson, I like that a lot personally. All in all, my best compliment is that I still go Fusion Fitness; I have no reason to leave.

Whether youre looking for street combatives or to get in a cage someday this place will get you ready for whatever. Multiple black belts teaching and competing in jui jitsu multiple active competitors teaching Muay Thai. The work outs are insane and the people are competitive but controlled so youre not missing time from crazy injuries.

Ive been going to Fusion Fitness MMA for about 3 years. It all started with an interest in learning more about the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai kickboxing. Little did I know it would turn into an obsession. The instructors are amazing, and everyone who trains at this gym has a common interest in training safe and learning as much as possible about these two disciplines. Its also an incredible workout. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for basic self-defense skills, learning about the sport of MMA, or just wanting a really good workout.
