Well I have tried to write an honest negative review on this district about 5 times now, but every single one has been censored. Apparently, you cant speak the whole truth in a review. So, here are only a few reasons to stay clear. This district is the worst district in the Chicago suburbs. The district cares about everything except its students and their families. Some schools are good, but its super hit or miss. If youre a parent, youll be doing the teaching while teachers get paid for planning hours. U46 will do anything to cut corners and praise itself for having the same programs that every district in the surrounding areas have. If this district had the choice, they wouldnt meet state mandates. They already do everything they can to stay at the bare minimum with no interest in being a better district. Phone calls arent answered or returned, and sometimes theyll pick up and hang up on you. The only way students are helped is by having multiple staff members at the school level become involved. Schools cant even teach U46 children properly because the district is against intelligent decision making.

We would like to have more moral values teaching on were this country was founded added in our district, to improve respect and treat each other with dignity.

The COVID vaccine distribution was a total disappointment. Provided a contact but all the lines of communication is dead. When we arrived, it was a total nightmare.

Parking is limited, I was there along with 250 people throughout the day for vaccination, but everyone managed to find a spot, building was very clean and organized. Everyone was nice and helpful.

Avoid this school district at all costs. During the shutdown for the COVID pandemic this district has demonstrated numerous times that they are unorganized and unprepared. They place ALL of the burden for education on the parents. Im looking to move far away from U-46

U46 has some excellent schools but that depends on neighborhood

They wont even let my son transfer schools. And last time I checked, youre allowed to transfer to any schools within your district.
