I have been a member of this gym family for many years and cant say enough good things about Coach Joe Alexander. Students are show real-world techniques in a way that makes complete sense to each of us. Our teaching is personalized to our skill levels - ALL people at ALL levels and abilities are welcome in the classes. Joe completely enjoys what he does and it comes through in each of our classes. We work hard and have a great time doing so. Children, teens, adults . . . everyone is empowered, supported and elevated. People from all walks of life are welcomed with open arms! You truly become part of a family when you become a student at Alexander Academy. If needed, the tools we learn can be used for protection in real-life situations. These techniques can be taken with us outside of the classroom walls. I am also proud of all the give-back programs that our gym is a part of- community is so very important to each and every one of us, but, especially to Coach Joe and he makes it a priority of our team to encourage each other in and outside of our classes and to elevate and give back to those in need when we can.I am so proud that my daughter and I are part of such a giving, knowledgeable, professional academy!

BEST GYM AROUND!! I love everything about it, there is amazing people there, it teaches self defense for real life and your state of mind is so much better. This gym is for real life and positive attitudes only. These people will change your life and be your family through everything so I 10000% recommend to everyone!! This gym has super nice people, the atmosphere is pleasant as soon as you walk in, they make you feel like you belong there, and they treat everybody like family. They truly have a good group of people there and I would highly recommend you give it a try no matter who you are they will accept everyone.

Joe and Wendy are excellent instructors. Teaching the kids values and morals and self defence.

My 9 year old son has been going to Alexander B.J.J since October, 2019. Joe, the instructor is nothing short of remarkable. He is wise, insightful, patient and nurturing. Joe is a great role model who teaches the kids not only self defense techniques but the value in hard work, integrity, respect, discipline, passion, good sportsmanship and teamwork. He exhibits behavior that can be emulated by all of his students. He emphasizes the importance of how to conduct themselves because their behavior reflects not only their own character but is also a representation of the academy. Some people come in with low self esteem, zero confidence and are very shy. Joe, his wife “Wendy” and their son Joey help those people enhance their persona. In no time they are confident, and excel in class and aspire to live their best life. I have never in my life met so many people who are considerate, courteous, kind, good hearted and genuine as the people I’ve come to know as my “gym family”. They don’t just teach self defense fundamentals that are crucial to kids and adults alike, when you join at Alexander Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, you gain so much more. I have even seen young adults get the opportunity to live out their dreams of becoming a professional fighter. You wouldn’t be disappointed in your choice if you choose Alexander.

The best academy around. Best coach to have as a teacher. My 7 year old daughter has been in the classes for almost a year and the knowledge and confidence she has acquired is amazing. I have been in class for a few months. Not just a team we are a family.

Great, loving people! Coach Joe Alexander is great with kids (mainly because hes a big kid 😁) Joe and Wendys motivations are pure, in that they truly desire people, especially women and children, to be safe; to equip them with the tools necessary to defend themselves against someone trying to do them harm. There is a truly warm, home-like vibe in this place. They are amazing people doing amazing work!

We are blessed to have Joe Alexander as our instructor. He is much more to our program than simply a coach, he is a life mentor .. on the mats and off the mats! I suggest everyone stop in and check out a class, all ages are welcome.

A great atmosphere, super nice and even if you dont know much or little English, the classes are very well explained and very intuitive (Mon to Thu). They also have cardio and self defense for women on Saturdays.
