At Childrens Magnet Montessori School weve found a habitat for learning and growing caring and clever children. My son has made great friends and enjoyed learning many skills from friendly, caring teachers. I freely and often recommend Montessori in general and CMMS in particular to our friends. The campus is lovely, and the childrens classroom experiences are augmented by a variety of field trips. When the pandemic hit, the amazing staff moved into support mode and provided care for children of essential workers from the beginning. At this point, 5 months later, they have months of experience of keeping our little ones safe. At the same time, those of us at home were also given multiple resources including live circle time meetings so that the children could continue to socialize.Since the Elkridge location is co-located with Maryland International School, this is super-convenient for families with older children as well--one drop off, one pick up! This will also make transition from Kindergarten to an excellent elementary school painless and as natural as walking down the hallway.

Children’s Magnet Montessori in Elkridge has been a phenomenal learning environment for my daughter. My daughter started in the 2-3 year old class and was supported right from the start. She quickly advanced to the next class up and has excelled, even before I Initially thought she was ready. They knew her well. She was ready to take on more educational and mature tasks. The staff teach them so much and my little girl is so eager to learn because they make it fun and engaging. I appreciate everyone from the front desk to the teachers and assistants. They genuinely know my child and support her in her “spirited” ways . As a working mom I feel comforted knowing my daughter is there.

Our daughter is a student at CMMS currently and we have not been disappointed at any point during her attendance. The teachers make education and learning a priority and really take time to understand and value their students and parents. We enjoy the daily updates with pickup, the cleanliness of the school, and a curriculum that focuses on each child’s needs and strengths. Overall we are very satisfied with her experience and look forward to our younger children attending as well.

I am a grand parent. I often pick up my grandson at this school. I will say the teachers are very passionate about their jobs. My grandson is 3yrs soon to be 4yrs. I take my hat off to Mrs Kelly and all the teachers. Anytime I come in the place class rooms are in order. Kids are very polite. All teachers go out of their way to speak to you. I am a grand parent that is very proud to say this school is GREAT FOR ANY CHILD NO MATTER WHAT THEIR NEEDS ARE. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK STAFF👏👏👏🤲👌.

My experience with Childrens Magnet so far is AMAZING. My son who is 2 year old joined the fall session in Sept. It took almost 2 months time for him to adjust to the new environment. All the staff have been very patient since the beginning and be prompt in taking calls to let me know how he is doing initially. A special shout out to Ms Kelly and her team. Thanks so much guys..

We recently withdrew our son from this school due to many issues, the worst of which was him coming home with bruises and marks on his arms on multiple occasions of which staff could not explain. Prior to us withdrawing him, our son no longer wanted to go to school and was in a sad mood when we picked him up. The administration is poorly organized and communication with parents is terrible. There is little communication between the front office and teachers, and likewise between teachers and parents. The sign in computer system is frequently down, and the system that emails out daily reports was broken nearly the entire 4 months he attended. Toileting expectations are unreasonable. The head of the school proposed an action plan to help our sons behavior to which we agreed to, but it was never implemented. Emails to administration were frequently never replied to, and in person requests to speak to administration by my wife were rudely ignored numerous times. The building is poorly maintained including leaks in the ceiling, the water fountain in the main hall leaking all over the floor for months, broken/missing floor tiles in the bathroom, low battery chirps coming from classroom smoke detectors, and mouse droppings in the container storing my sons extra diapers and wipes. Avoid this school!
