Not enough stars to give. The superdojo family welcomed mine about a year ago, I never imagined that a simple martial arts class/school would make such an impact on a community. During every class every teacher radiates positive and character building affirmations that have even encourage me as a mom watching from the chairs to be better, to try harder, to encourage others to greet and support and so much more!!! If you are consistence your kid gets to be praised and singled out from time to time for the good and the better, you get instructions of how to talk to your kids in a positive/affirmative way that goes beyond the school/

Superdojo is Incredible!!!! My kids absolutely love the instructors and how they connect to each kid! My kids and I both get so excited to see our family so we can show them the awesome moves. With the parent interaction during class, parents go home knowing how to help the child practice and become better. It also makes for great bonding at home instead of faces in electronics. We HIGHLY recommend the Superdojo family to everyone!

Cant say anything but great things about Superdojo! My son has been attending for almost a year. We look forward to classes each week. The owner/instructor and staff are professional, patient, and great with the kids! Classes keep kids engaged, and focused! We were introduced to Superdojo over a year ago through a birthday party. Even at the party, the instructors made a point to acknowledge every child and to personally speak to all the parents. We were beyond impressed with their professionalism and have been members ever since. Superdojo, Mr. Hayhurst, Mr. Manekporia, and the other leaders are encouraging, patient, and teach more than martial arts. They promote character building and personal growth. Our daughter has been going to Super Dojo for over 3 years now. The instructors are super attentive to each child and parent at every class. We started her at 9 years old after she saw them at her schools fitness day and everyone has been so nice and welcoming to her. Not only has she learned martial arts but she is more confident and outgoing thanks to everyone there!

My 5 yr old son has been going here for the past 6-7 months. I was very impressed from the get go. The positivity and energy that Mr.Hayhurst and Mr.M have in every class is remarkable! During this quarantine time Mr.Hayhurst has spent so much time in communicating with the families and putting together lessons, zoom class, FB live class so that these kids haven’t missed a beat. If anyone is thinking about joining the Superdojo family (yes family) you won’t be disappointed!

Our son has been in karate for 4 years. Our finances are tight we are not made of money. Our son got offered a spot in sparring. Sparring gear is not cheap. We did not have to pay it.up front ! Mr. Hayhurst gave us an option to pay a weekly amount we were able to pick. Mr. Hayhurst spent money out.of his own pocket for many families until they could pay it back in full. Also after we paid that we have no extra costs per month to do the sparring class! He is donating his time basically for free. We are able to come.to him at anytime and work out finances if need beDuring the COVID 19 pandemic the instructors offered online video calling to keep in touch with the kids so they could have social interaction.They care about each and every kid and each and every family.Our son is confident in himself now. He was very shy and scared of people who werent his mom for the longest time. He has made dramatic improvements.They also teach so much more than just martial arts.They tech how to introduce yourself and make friends and bully prevention in every day classes. They give kids time to talk and tell them about everything and anything including going to their nanas house for the night and truly listen and are engaged in every story.They are amazing and we are beyond glad we put our son into this program.

Unbelievably amazing in every aspect. Instructors are respectful, friendly, professional, caring, approachable, and knowledgeable. The highlight is that they treat every child as their own child. They’ve gone beyond my expectations.

I can’t say enough about Superdojo. The owner Josh Hayhurst has a huge heart and cares about each of his students. He has gone above and beyond especially lately with the COVID 19 virus to be sure the students are engaged. He did Facebook classes, Zoom classes, tutorials and videos. He is on Facebook messenger talking to the children about karate school super hero’s or whatever they want to tell him. Awesome place check it out.

Fantastic program, it is the full package. The children love coming and learning! They learn not only martial arts but, discipline, respect for themselves and others. The instructors have built a wonderful support community, all parent feel welcome to come and participate or just watch. If you are thinking about sending your child to Superdojo, 100% DO it. I have been at superdojo since the beginning, and it was the best decision of my life. Mr Hayhurst has been a mentor to me, and him and Mr Manekporia have been nothing but helpful. I am the person I am today because of superdojo. My son has been in superdojo since shortly before turning 4, for going on nearly 3 and a half years. The school is run very differently than what I believe people view as traditional martial arts, and really focuses on working with different ages and giving each student personal attention and helping them improve at their own level. They learn the relevant skills, but also spend time focusing on critical issues like self esteem, bullying, positive reinforcement, and improvement in a way that resonates with different ages groups.The staff spends a lot of time identifying with each student, going out of their way to make them feel included in the superdojo family, and really tried to strengthen each students weaknesses through the classes.I think their management during the COVID crisis has been an excellent example of their dedication... Instead of calling it quits they began doing love classes on facebook, setting up zoom classes both for groups and individuals, being available on messenger services for the kids, and continuing to insure they are learning new skills and improving along the way.In terms of costs I believe they are similar to other schools, and a key item to identify is that they do include all belts and testing as well as initial uniforms in the fees, so that should be taken into consideration when comparing to other schools. Additionally, they do have several makeup classes during normal times, and often have free events in addition to the standard classes that for someone school around certainly add a cost benefit to the overall program.All in all I do not believe you would be disappointed in your child participating in superdojo, especially if you are concerned with them dealing with shyness or other issues; Mr. Hayhurst and Mr. Manekporia really go out of their way to make all students feel included and to boost their self esteem.

Superdojo has been a blessing to our son and our entire family! It is so wonderful seeing all of the valuable lessons my 5-year old son is learning. Besides martial arts, he is learning to respect others, listen to and respect authority and his peers, patience, discipline, teamwork, and how to be a champion! He is so excited to go to Superdojo and he never wants to leave. Mr. Hayhurst and his team have built a beautiful community of supportive families. They are all so wonderful with the children and have created an extremely welcoming and uplifting environment. Even though we live 45+ minutes away, we have felt connected since day one. My child has now been going to Superdojo for several months. Im so impressed by the instructors patience with this young group. They make it fun while being stern and teaching them good behavior. Ive noticed a huge change in my child. His behavior and manners have improved greatly. This is also the first activity for him that it has not been a struggle to get him to attend week after week. He loves it. Hed attend more classes each week if he could.

We have been going to Superdojo since August 2014 and our kids love it! We never have to make them get up and get ready they are always ready to go. They have made so many friends in class and the instructors are great and really know how to talk to children and get them engaged! I would recommend this school to anyone!

Superdojo is a great place for kids to learn focus and determination. The instructors make sure all students are engaged and work to help kids meet their goals and feel successful. The studio works hard to build community, even organizing special events like the Trunk-or-Treat or adult self-defense workshop. We highly recommend Superdojo!

I started doing Taekwondo as an adult, and found that this was the perfect place to learn. The instructors are excellent, very knowledgeable, and know how to combine fun with getting a good workout.We recently enrolled our son in the Tiny Tigers program, and he loves going. The kids have fun, but the instructors also encourage the development of important life skills. Weve noticed he has started to embrace a lot more discipline and is becoming more mature. He responds very well to the challenges he faces and enjoys having goals to work towards.All in all, ATA is a great place to come no matter what age you are.

For anyone who is considering karate for their children, I highly recommend Superdojo. Joshs enthusiasm for martial arts is so exciting, it makes me want to do karate. Lol. The instructors are informative, talented and motivating. My child is learning confidence and camaraderie while exercising and having fun. We are simply thrilled to be part of the Superdojo family.

We have both our sons enrolled in ATA. We know that our children are in capable hands with Mr. Hayhurst and Ms Stanley as their instructors. They are teaching my boys at a pace that suits them while building their confidence as individuals. ATA is like a second family and we couldnt be happier. A special shout out to Alicia because she is the silent strength of ATA. Always friendly and willing to answer our never-ending questions.

Both of my kids love it! They are so active and competitive at home so Superdojo gives them an opportunity to learn what martial arts is all about and the discipline that comes with it. Since being here they have come a long way with learning to have patience.

We are almost at our 1 year anniversary since starting at Superdojo. Our son loves it here. He looks forward to each class. Weve seen such growth mentally and physically from him. Weve also noticed that hes much more focused on important things going on around him.

I signed my son, Brody, up in December to help him with his self confidence. After watching a few classes, I decided to join myself. Since then, I have quit my gym membership. A single one hour session at ATA was worth a week at the gym. The classes are fast paced, focusing on martial arts training while at the same time developing strength, flexibility and endurance. You don’t realize how much you’ve worked out until the end of the class. Well worth it; I recommend it to anyone.

We love Superdojo! We have brought my son here for over a year and his growth has been amazing. He used to be super shy and lacked confidence, now he is totally outgoing and believes he can do anything. Mr. Hayhurst knows how to get them to try what seems just out of reach so when they achieve it they get that real feeling of accomplishment. Cant recommend this place enough.

Our son, Braden, started ATA several months ago and has made great improvements in his behavior, focus, discipline, and motivation. We checked several other karate studios and chose ATA. Choosing Superdojo was one of the best decisions I have ever made for my son. Josh Hayhurst has endless energy and enthusiasm and does an amazing job with the kids. His staff is great and the younger children love working with the older students in class. They are all great role models and always encourage and motivate the children to do their best.

My son is 3 years old. We started him in Martial Arts the end of August. He has only been attending about 2 months and he has had such a huge positive difference. He has done cooking and little classes like that and he loved it but a lot of times did not want to stop.and go. With Maritial.Arts he looks forward to it.and jumps up to go! ATA Elkton is the best karate studio. My son and daughter attend and love it. they are 3 and 4 and have improved greatly in so many different areas like behaviors, listening, respect, and attitude. I enrolled my two children in the Tiny Tigers program a few months ago after I observed Mr.Hayhurst interact with the children at a local school field day. The way he speaks and interacts with the kids is amazing!With my daughter I wanted to improve her behavior, discipline and boost focus. With my son who is special needs I wanted to try to improve his balancing skills and boost his self-confidence. The changes in my grandson are remarkable. Since starting with ATA Elkton his confidence and focus have improved greatly. An added plus is that he is now physically fit. Instead of sitting around playing video games all the time, he now likes to put in a DVD and practice his martial arts moves.The instructors are very gifted. They are teaching him skills that carry over into real life and doing it in a way that is both fun but challenging. They push the students to be the best they can possibly be. Not only does Mr. Hayhurst teach karate he also spends time on social skills and how to become a leader. My son Joshua has made leaps and bounds since starting. His confidence is through the roof and he no longer has a problem with going up to other kids and saying, Hi Im Josh want to be friends? Mr. Hayhurst not only provides discipline but also a safe environment for kids teens and adults! We are all treated like family and he goes out of his way to brighten our day!

My son has benefitted greatly from his participation in the ATA Tigers program. His ability to focus and follow directions has notably improved. We love how the skills introduced in class apply to both home and school. We highly recommend ATA Elkton for anyone with an active young boy.

We started at ATA to give my daughter a new experience outside of dance and music. That is exactly what she got. Tae Kwon Do has become a family experience. We all participate in her success and even I have begun to take the adult classes. She has learned to work hard towards a goal and is very proud of her success. I enrolled my son into the Tiny Tigers program this year after many years of encouragement from my niece. After seeing her achieve her first degree black belt at the age of 13, I felt it was time for my son to start. He has a very big personality and is always on the move. The program teaches the kids the basics of the art of Taikwondo with focus on discipline, attitude and respect. Mr Hayhurst is an excellent teacher and relates very well with all of the students - young and old. In fact, I was so impressed with his teaching that I enrolled into the adult program. Working towards our black belts in something my son and I can do together - and keep doing together well into his teenage plus years. I am very happy with my decision to join ATA Elkton, MD!!

We checked out several Martial Arts facilities and most had programs for children that were barely a step above a half hour of babysitting, but ATA Elkton was different. Mr. Hayhurst is an excellent instuctor and knows how to deal with children in a way they not only enjoy but respect as well.The adult programs are fantastic as well!

Do you worry that your children or grandchildren maybe bullied? Do your children have trouble focusing in school, or that all they want to do is play video games? All of these were my worries. My husband and I have five grandchildren, from the age of 3 years to age10. Two of are grandchildren have learning disabilities. We wanted to find an activity that all five children could do together.That is where ATA and Josh Hayhoust came into play. We stopped into the school to have a look, we had checked out several other karate school in our area. We were so impressed with Mr. Hayhoust, his staff ,and what this school teaches.We signed all five children up. I love ATA in Elkton!!! I enrolled my son in Tiny Tigers which he loves, and the instructor, Josh Hayhurst, encouraged me to enroll in the Adult Class. I have only been going for a few weeks and I already see a huge improvement in my fitness level. I have more energy and I am staying on track with my weight loss goals! We enrolled our grandson as a Christmas gift. He began his training on the 2nd and just completed 4 training sessions. We have been at ATA Elkton for almost a year now. Ive had experience with other martial arts studios in the area and I was impressed with ATA Elkton from the beginning. I have been attending class at ATA for almost six years. Through those years I have learned numerous life lesons that Ive been able to apply to many differnt aspects of my life. Through being a student there and an instructor, Ive learned how to be a better leader and great communication skills. These have helped me even outside ATA. During my college application process I had to call many college coaches. I had to talk to them in a professional manor and was able to through skills Ive learned at ATA.

Ive been going to Ata Martial Artsfor about 6-7 years and each year keeps getting cooler and more funner! Now Im a second-degree black belt and I get to do cool forms, weapons forms, and sparring! A thing that they just launched a couple of years ago called Hyper Pro Training and hyper is short for Hi-performance, we get to do backside 900s, spin hooks to cartwheels, tornadoe kicks, tornadoe to handstands and the list keeps going and going! I always want to go to class and I had a awesome expierience going there and cant wait for more.

My son started out at ATA Elkton as a Tiny Tiger about 2 years ago. He is now in Karate for Kids and he loves it. When my son first became old enough to move up to Karate for Kids, he had a hard time because the cirriculum is harder than the Tiny Tigers program. After a little extra help and a motivational speech from Mr. Hayhurst, my son does very well in his classes. He has also gained confidence and knows he is great at karate. Mr. Hayhurst is great with the children and does a great job motivating them. My son has competed in 2 tournaments and won 2nd and 3rd place in forms because Mr. Hayhurst has taught him well.

Our son asked us to look into Tae Kwon Do as a physical Fitness activity part of our homeschooling schedule. After speaking to several different schools, Mr. Hayhurst described how his social skills curriculum was interwoven in the Tae Kwon Do instruction and we were easily convinced that ATA Elkton was the place for us. And we were not disappointed. Mr. Hayhurst is a natural-born leader, motivator and educator. Our son loves to attend class and has developed a great deal of discipline, respect, self-control and focus. The skills learned during his time at ATA Elkton easily weave into many other areas. We look forward to him continuing to grow at ATA Elkton for many years to come.
