Being the parent of an autistic child and having moved back to the area recently, I was certainly interested in Shore Haven Inc. My interest was very short lived! In perusing their website, I came across their employee resource page which consisted of three items: the star of the month was completely blank for December as well as any other month. The training calendar has only 1 item listed per month for both 12/2017 and 01/2018. The one item each month appears to be a recurring monthly session lasting only a matter of hours and the the last area (which was so unimpressive that I cant even recall its title or purpose) is also totally blank! If the company doesnt care enough to follow through with ideas such as having an employee if the month that is posted in a very public area, what happens behind the scenes? Is there follow through on other ideas, policies, etc? Consistency is key; and all parents should be aware of that; especially those of us whove been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to love an autistic child. It appears that it is lacking and, surely, that cant be beneficial for those entrusted to their care. I hope that this will change for the better...and soon!
