This staff and curriculum focus on my kids strengths, builds confidence in them, and helps realize their true potential through there monthly life lessons. The school focuses on the youth and how to best train them. The flexible schedule and affordable pricing along with the creative and fun teachings has really made a difference for our children post Covid lock down. Their staff and training has made a positive impact on our young kids and they have come to enjoy it and cant wait to continue to succeed. We highly recommend it to all kids!!!

Our 6 year old son has been with American Karate for 5 months now. He is doing great, loves his instructors and the facility. They truly care and encourage each student and we have seen immense growth with him. Our younger son can’t wait to enroll in a few months too! Thank you to Master Sanchez and to our instructors. Since enrolling at American Karate Center in January of 2021, my 5-year-old son has become more focused, confident, respectful, and helpful. He also LOVES going to karate class! Their unique creative and fun teachings has really made a difference for our children post Covid lock down. Our son has been with American Karate for about 3 years now. All of the instructors have been amazing, and made a huge and positive impact along his journey there. Since he has started, we have seen tremendous growth in his confidence in school and socially. It has given him the confidence to try new things, and the drive to accomplish any goal he sets his mind to. Through their style of teaching and martial arts, your child will learn focus, respect, and pursuit of excellence, all while having a great time with instructors that want to make a difference in their lives. I have watched my son grow in confidence over the last couple of year’s and in part this is due to his involvement with American Karate. What they were able to accomplish especially over the last 4 months is pretty spectacular. Zoom meetings are never easy but their communication and ability to engage the students showed why they have been successful for so many years. Not only did they work with the students but they encouraged Family Sweat time every Saturday morning, 30 minutes where the family could workout, laugh a little and complain about the pain throughout the day. It’s not only self defense that they teach with power and conviction, the principles of the Leadership Program taught powerful lessons in personal development. American Karate is truly an amazing place and their instructors are unlike any other! In just the few months my son has been taking classes, in person and now via Zoom, he has gained confidence and self control, as well as mastering karate. The instructors are always encouraging and have a positive uplifting attitude, and are great at what they do. We will never go anywhere else!

It was such a great decision to leave our former karate center and come here. The team is so incredibly positive and they do an AMAZING job of teaching discipline, self control, strength, dedication - and yeah karate! The list of reasons to choose this place is long, but if you stop by yourself one night, it’s all the convincing you will need.

I have been a student of Mr. Sanchezs for 20 years. The lessons that I have learned in his dojo have directly influenced my confidence and my success. Absolutely the best Karate school ever. All instructors are fantastic at connecting with children of all ages to teach focus, respect and being responsible for actions. Karate style and proper form is without comparison, taught with passion by seasoned instructors. Very pleased with my sons performance and skill development both on a martial arts level and on academic focus. Would recommend to anyone who has a child interested in starting or maintaining their martial arts development.

The caring and through instructors are top notch. My daughter was in physical therapy (a leg length discrepancy was causing falls, uneven leg strength and coordination issues) for two years and showing little progress. After six months at American Karate, thanks to the instructors attention to proper technique, she no longer needs physical therapy! Her balance, coordination and strength are now on par or above her peers. All students at American Karate learn self discipline, self confidence and self control in a fun, encouraging and energetic environment. I couldnt be more pleased with the improvement in both the physical and mental attributes of my child.

So, so good for our son. Focus and discipline are emphasized, as well as reaching for your potential as a daily goal. They talk about integrity and respect in a way that the younger ones can understand. Also love that when they say, “How do you feel?” the kids yell in unison, “Fantastic, sir!” It helps my somewhat complain-y son realize that should be his default position. Really pleased...

I recommend this karate center to all of my friends with children. The teachers here are wonderful role models for my son and they are incredible karate teachers. Everyone here makes you feel like family. So glad we decided to start bringing him here!

This is an absolute top-notch karate school! The owner and instructors are deeply devoted to their students and their families. Not only is proper form and physical strength developed, but personal traits of pride, respect, and a growth mindset are instilled in their students. I can’t say enough about American Karate!

Instructiors are amazing, Master Sanchez and his team instruct with focus and discipline without being heavy-handed. They also instill confidence, both my boys have benefited from coming to America Karate since they were four, it’s a great program. Highly recommend for all ages.

This is wonderful karate school. My teen son just earned his Black Belt. I would say that he has learned more than karate, he’s learned self-confidence, physical fitness, and discipline. Mr. Sanchez is a great teacher and his staff are great with all ages. Special shout-out to Mr. SJ who has been a mentor, role model, and great coach!

Good teaching when you go there your going to be interested in karate

This place is the best karate self defense school (dojo) i have ever been to and i have just earned my black belt on the three day winter bb qualification. the instructors are the most helpful and amazing teachers.

We highly recommend the American Karate Center in Ellington. Our son has been in the Tigers class for about seven months. In that relatively short time we have noticed significant improvements in his self-confidence, self-advocacy, self-control, and body awareness. We largely attribute this to the AKC instructors and their teaching methods. They hold the kids to a high standard, expect them to work together as a team, and expect excellence. They do this all while remaining positive in their instruction, even when a kid isnt meeting one of those expectations. Our son looks up to the instructors as role models, and theyve proven to us that they deserve such respect. We are very grateful to AKC for the positive impact that their center has had on our son and family. Lastly, we recently attended a regional karate tournament and were impressed to see AKC take home many top trophies, proving the efficacy of their teaching methods.
