Our son loves SOR! He’s always been interested in music and looks forward to going each week. We love that they introduce the students to various instruments, giving them an opportunity to explore. All the coaches and employees are kind and supportive of all the kids at enter. You can tell it’s a safe space for all these kids to learn, grow and play music. We’re so happy that School of Rock is a part of our son’s routine!

Staff is wonderful and they really get the kids engaged. Great communication too. Way better than when I started playing drums years ago and all I did was drill after drill! Our son came home after the first lesson and was working on playing a Clapton riff...less than 60 days later he had his first performance with a live band. He may not be Eddie Van Halen yet, but he loves it. If your kid isnt really into the school band but is interested in music SOR is the way to go.

My oldest has been going to School of Rock for 4 years. He started in Rookies and has been in the performance group for 2 years now. It has been such a great place for him. He loves it and there is nothing cooler than seeing your kid up on stage during the performances. My youngest just started Rookies this year and he absolutely loves it. All of the instructors are wonderful and everyone has been so great and careful during this time. They have done a great job making it work for the kids!

My daughter has been at Elmhurst School of Rock for 3 years. She is 11 1/2 years old and has grown and matured in her skills, thus providing her with an immense amount of confidence. The teachers are amazing and very talented. We are there 3 days a week for vocals, guitar and song writing. Every week, they continue to engage her with exciting material and lessons. The group performance program has taught her to practice, somewhat like a sport, not just for her, but for her bandmates. My girl is a rocker and there is no other place she wants to be!

School of Rock Elmhurst provides an incredible opportunity for students to grow as musicians, to learn the value of teamwork and camaraderie from playing in a band of peers, to build self-esteem, and to have fun. The instructors and band leaders at School of Rock Elmhurst are extremely talented and patient with everyone. Our son loves School of Rock! We love watching the shows that he, his peers, and the band leaders and instructors are able to put on thanks to all of their hard work.

My daughters have been at SOR going on 5 years now. They have not only learned how to play the instruments of their choice, but have developed a love for music well beyond what I expected. The staff are invested and supportive. And giving huge kudos in how they’ve kept everything going during the pandemic!!!

The teachers and staff here are awesome, and its really exciting to watch my son expand his musical interests into bands hed probably never otherwise listen to, like the Beatles or the Cure. Im excited to watch him grow here. He particularly loves the group rehearsals. I highly recommend this place!

Our oldest “graduated” from SoR Elmhurst in 2019. Performance Groups, House Band and All Stars were a huge part of her high school years. The school really works hard to offer meaningful and fun performance opportunities. Our youngest daughter just started at SoR Elmhurst last week. She’s excited about being able to make music and perform with others in person. The school seems to be taking COVID protocols very seriously. Cant wait to see their livestream performance in January!

We are very happy with our daughters Guitar Lessons. She is a teen just starting to play guitar, who was a little nervous at the beginning. Her confidence grows with every lesson. Her instructor is knowledgeable, patient and enthusiastic. She really enjoys her time at the School of Rock, and is reaping the benefits. We both strongly recommend the School of Rock - Elmhurst.

Both of our children love attending Right At School. Seeing my sons growth in playing drums, as well as my daughters progress with Piano demonstrates the quality on the method of the instructors teaching at School of Rock. The environment is fun and joyful. I would highly recommend School of Rock Elmhurst to everyone.

We are consistently blown away with what School of Rock teaches these kids!! Not only do they teach them to rock and play their instruments/music, but they create an incredibly cool and awesome community. Leave every performance in total amazement!

The School of Rock in Elmhurst is a fantastic place! My son and daughter absolutely LOVED the camps they attended this summer and will be signing up for more regular classes. The staff is awesome and its a great place to learn the fundamentals and have fun! This is a totally unique offering and so lucky kids today can experience music in a new non-traditional way.

LOVE LOVE LOVE it here. My daughter wont stop talking about it. Great space, everyone is friendly and I love the vibe.Wish a few teachers had a little more training in controlling kids. Some kids like to take control of the class and a couple teachers are too gentle in calling them. It effects class time for others.

My daughter recently performed in her first School of Rock “gig” since beginning to take guitar lessons there. I had not seen the SOR bands perform before. Going in to the performance, I keptr my expectations in check for my daughter, both in terms of her comfort of being on stage and her playing ability. My expectations for the performances overall were tempered as well. I think I expected children to miss notes and to get off rhythm occasionally. I was so impressed with how polished the bands actually sounded. They were all playing music I really enjoy, and doing it really well. I’m even more excited to see how my daughter progresses going forward, and I’m legitimately looking forward to future performances, simply for the chance to listen to good music played well.Thank you to administrators and the instructors for making School of Rock fun for my daughter and for obviously doing such a good job teaching the children to play music.

The experience the kids get to perform a real concert in super cool venues is outstanding! This program has changed my sons life. He has found his true passion in music. Thank you School of Rock!

School of Rock is a great place for kids to learn about musicianship and teamwork - my son loves the collaborative atmosphere. And the concerts are a blast for the performers and their families!

I am a member of the Elmhurst SOR Old Skool adult program. The SOR format of learn > practice > rehearse > perform is the most efficient and enjoyable way for an aspiring musician to progress from chord diagrams to performing on a floodlit stage. I like the music we play; I like the mixture of fun and discipline around the program; the venue is comfortable and convenient; the equipment always works. Lenny gets 11/10 as a great musician, great teacher/mentor, great musical director and an all-round inspiring guy. The management team is pleasant, efficient and responsive. What’s not to like?
