I have known this school for over 10 years. I rejoined their course since I moved out of state and they started online zoom lecture in 2020. They provide a lot of useful information and the teacher is very knowledgeable and respected by many. The administrator Elisa is very efficient and kind. The study material they provide is now a source of deep and wide knowledge like treasure to me. The courses are well organized and strict in a good way as it helps us learn and grow to become a helpful person or professional. I recommend the school for seekers of true natural health.

I have been taking their programs for over 2 years now. I am a certified health coach and was looking for a robust nutritionist program. I enrolled in the CNC program and have been doing the distance learning at my own pace. I started taking classes via zoom since Covid. I most recently completed the Master Herbalist program and I am looking forward to enrolling in the Therapeutic Luscious Chef. All programs are very comprehensive and informative. Steve Schechter is full of wisdom, his expertise and knowledge makes these programs very valuable. Their books and lectures are something you will use for the rest of your life for you or your clients. I had a great experience with their customer service. Elise is always very good in responding to any of my inquiries. I would absolutely recommend their programs.

I love this school. The information I am learning is incredibly helpful and valualble. Love that Steve teaches classes and the work that has gone into the information is very obvious to anyone that understands natural health.

I really enjoyed my time studying in the Holistic Health Practitioner (HHP) distance learning program! The staff was very supportive and responsive especially when I had questions or technical difficulties with operating the online platform--which is always great when learning from a distance. I learned so much from Steves teachings and would highly recommend this program for anyone wanting to immerse themselves in and share natural healing practices for the modern day.

Completing a program with NHI has been a wonderfully rewarding experience. My daughter and I recently finished the Master Herbalist program and we both enjoyed the experience so much I immediately enrolled in the HHP program and my daughter plans to take this in the future as well. We have both dreamed of becoming Master herbalists for years and, while this is a lifelong process, NHI gave us a foot in the door and a very solid foundation to build on.Im not going to say the program was easy, as a distance learner- it was challenging in the best way. What made completion so easy was the availability of everyone at NHI and their willingness to help with anything that arose, big or small. The team has been so responsive and encouraging that neither me nor my daughter ever felt like we were doing this alone.This school is not for those who just want a quick certificate or title to add to their name. These programs take work and dedication and, once completed, you will really feel such a sense of accomplishment.We cant say enough how much we appreciate NHI and everyone there that works so hard to keep their curriculum available to all, especially considering the current state of our nation. Both my daughter and I highly recommend this amazing institution.

If you have any doubts if this program is the right fit for your or not, DO NOT enroll. I enrolled at NHI and paid in full ($3900) for the Holistic Health Practitioner program.Upon receiving materials, I completed one lesson within the entire 1,000 hour certification, approximately 5-8 hours of coursework and felt the program was not the right fit for me. A large portion of the materials was emailed and it took over an hour to sort out what, was what. Most if not all of the program is chapter reading and then a quiz.I contacted NHI using their stated email address on their FAQ but did not receive any response for two days. The FAQ listed on the NHI website stated a refund could be issued based upon percentages completed in the program (attached). Upon making contact again using a different email, I had to reach out every day for 5 days being told they would hopefully get back to me later that day. Eventually being told that the Director would not honor my refund; Once you have received your books and all of your enrollment materials, there is no refund except for the books, if you want to send them back, providing they are in like-new condition and we can send them to another student. (About $250 mind you) We would, however, like to offer you some extra help and other live lectures at no cost to you, that hopefully will help you get the most out of the program.Why would I want free lectures if I do not want your core content?The communication with NHI has been nothing but unprofessional and the fact that they advertise but do not honor their own refund process is extremely frustrating and concerning.Please do your research and know that this program is for you before you drop $3900 on a useless certification like I did.*********In response to the reply from NHI; as an unsatisfied customer, I should not have to “plead my case and beg” to receive my money back the numerous emails explaining should have been enough.As I have stated several times, I do not want to work with your institution, therefore offering more of your services (no matter the value) is not a sufficient resolution.It doesn’t matter if it was 5 hours or 500 hours, I know the product was not for me, that is not something for your institution to decide for me.The numerous Better Business Bureau, Yelp & Google reviews about this exact same experience from others, begs to differ. I wish I would have done more research.I would suggest you re-word your website for the refund policy as it is extremely misleading. For those reading, as you can see NHI tries every way possible to misguide and weasel money out of their potential clients. Steer clear from their long distance programs.

They teaching classes have been an incredible learning experience for me. The material is very complete and thorough and the staff has been very helpful throughout my continuing educational journey. I am grateful that they have offered such advanced studies

Great college, friendly staff and very Holisitic catered. The CNC program is very good, it also supplies extra information which is thought provoking such as the radiation and chemicals book. Great place to get your certification!

I am currently enrolled in their Certified Nutritionist Consultant Program and I am so pleased with the program so far. The instructors are so knowledgeable and engaging, it has been a pleasure learning from them.

I took the CNC program and really enjoyed it! Friendly staff, knowledgable teachers, and diversity of students from all walks of life. I looked forward to class. I learned a lot, although I did feel at times it was a lot of info in such a short period of time. Hard to retain it all. Overall I had a great experience and met people that I still keep in contact with. :)

I enrolled in the NHI Nutritionist Consultant certification program on the distance learning platform in October 2013. The admissions office was responsive and helpful up to the point my fees were collected. I then received poorly copied and collated learning materials, a learning manual and access to inaudible audios of classroom recordings on a Google drive. While disappointed with this initial impression of NHI, I plunged ahead with the program, completing and passing all learning modules. At no time during the learning process did I receive any outreach communication via email or phone from NHI asking about my education experience or if I had any questions or if I needed support . As I prepared to begin my final certification project I reached out to NHI several times for guidance. I never received a response. At that point I was so discouraged and disappointed I stepped away from my final project. 4.5 years later, I called NHI to inquire if I would be eligible to submit my final project and receive certification. Each time I called, (late morning and mid-afternoon), I received an answering machine. At this writing, after leaving several messages, I have yet to hear from NHI. Truly disappointing. Please consider carefully before choosing NHI as your educator/certification program.UPDATE: The NHI owner responded to my review over 1 year later, confirming my concerns about this companys responsiveness and genuine concern about their students.
