This is a great preschool/daycare! My grandson who is almost 4 years old has attended this preschool/daycare since he was 4 months old. Never once have we had a problem with the school and he enjoys spending his days there with his friends. The preschoolers go on trips to Sea World, Legoland, San Diego Zoo, the beach, the movies, parks and the Pumpkin Station. The teachers are wonderful with the children. I would definitely recommend this place.

My son has been in the school since he was one. And the method of love continued after I leave my child at the school. I come and pick him up and he ask me, why do you pick me up so early? Only to tell him his school closes at 6pm even during winter when the nights are early. My son enjoys Ms. Kathy, Ms. Kikue, Ms. Rene, Ms. Ashley and Lola Manuela as they have been a constant in his life the past 5 years. They treat all the kids as if how theyd treat their own. So for 5 years, they have been an extended family.

Encinitas Shining Stars has been the most wonderful experience for our family. We were referred to this loving, thoughtful, educational and down to earth establishment about 10 yrs. ago and saying we have been pleased is an understatement. Im an ER nurse and my husband is in General Practice. Not only have we had our children boy and girl enrolled since the infant class we have also had my sister and her BF child all enrolled. The owner is so sweet and the staff is warm and welcoming. We had tried a different school for my oldest 11 yrs ago on saxony that was not what we thought it would be. My husband and I cant say enough great things about ESS. If you want your child to be happy, learn and be safe you owe it to she/he to try and get a spot at their school. I hope this helps your family.

I wanted to write this review for the past year, but after reading a review against the most caring caregiver that has a team of ladies that have worked together for so many yearsI feel the time is here. I have two children at ESS and two that are now in elem school that attended this school for the Arts. We couldnt be happier. All the staff and especially Mrs. Sherri are so loving and helpful. The communication is always there I have cell phone numbers and get photos almost everyday. The learning, meals are care are an A. I had to wait 7 months to enroll my second child, but it was worth the wait. If you need care I recommend it and feel bad for this families that miss out. We are so blessed! Thank you ESS

Couldnt be a better school around San Diego for the love, learning and support. My advice, go tour and see for yourself. Our baby is 11 months and son is 4 and we have been attending for about four yrs. Everyday we go to work with no worry or guilt. Friday is treasure day and my son thinks its Christmas. Sherri and Kikue are the best. My guy loves Miss Alexis with her NYU and Berkely education we stayed instead of going to T-K for free.

I have had children at ESS for 7 years and another baby signed up for 2019. This place is a hidden gem. The teachers are incredibly caring; they love & protect your children like their own. I had the benefit of having my mom around for my first child so he didnt start until 3 but the transition was smooth given how welcoming and warm the teachers were, our 2nd baby started at ESS when he was 6 weeks old. I was a wreck- its terrifying leaving your brand new baby with anyone. That fear was short lived. My little one is SO loved, happy and cared for. They provided detailed reports on his day, how much milk he was drinking, they helped me through any breastfeeding struggles I had as I was pumping at work to provide milk at school. There was even a time my milk had slowed down, I wasn’t leaving as much milk as before and they would call me when he was on his last bag to let me know I had about 2 hours to get there. This allowed me to leave work a little early to beat traffic and get to my munchkin. I am a bit of a worrywart and I would call to check in on my babies- not once did they seem annoyed that I was calling. They’d happily tell me how he was doing and reassure me. My baby is now 3 and I do not have an ounce of worry when I drop him off. He LOVES going to school and he loves his teachers.I am currently pregnant with our 3rd child and the teachers have helped immensely with getting the 3yo potty trained, ready for the new baby, etc. I feel like all of the teachers are an extension of my family. Sherri- the director has been a wonderful blessing to our life as well. She is on top of any issues that occur, she is vigilant in making sure the school is run properly and all the kids are safe. She is always available and willing to work on any concerns you may have. I can’t say enough great things about ESS, I will be a very sad lady when all my kids have outgrown preschool and move to kindergarten.
