Kriss Phelps is an excellent trainer - of both people and horses. Shes patient with new riders, including old folks like my husband and I. Ive seen her display the same patience with the youngest of riders as well. She has a passion for horses and riding. Shes a talented rider and trainer and easily switches between English and Western riding, as well as dressage (English and Western), roping and cutting, and driving. Her stables are clean, her horses and boarders are very well cared for, and her lesson horses are a pleasure for any skill level. I would recommend this stable to any rider, new or advanced, and to anyone looking for a great place to board and train.

I have been taking my daughter to Crescendos Jack Frost Show series for the past two winters. We have loved the show. The staff and all the help are extremely friendly. Kriss is a great organizer who runs a super fun and friendly show!

Very rude lady very mean to her horses as well paid every month . also likes to take her frustrations out on you at shows . had me so upset . I took my horse out aweek later while he was in her care he also was put out with a horse that kicks he was also injured she needs to totally adjust her attitude. So glad Im Im totally away. do not recommend her to anyone who has love for their horse

Awesome place to take lessons, board your horse or put your horse in training with Kriss Phelps. Also the schooling show series they put on during the winter is a great way to keep your horse schooled during the winter.

Wonderful facility, great atmosphere and care. Kriss is an honest, authentic, and a caring person who happens to be an excellent trainer. It has been a blessing to get to know her over the years.

I have been taking lessons with Kriss for 7 months and I can only rave about Krisss patients with a very novice rider and the beautiful horses and facility. Not sure how anyone could rate this any less than 5 stars...Id give it more if I could!

My daughter has been taking weekly lessons with Kriss Phelps for almost one year. Kriss expertise coupled with the highest quality of lesson horses has our girl progressing at an unbelievable rate. Kriss is patient, but knows just how hard to push for growth! Im grateful and feel strongly that there is no price tag for discipline and personal confidence.

This is a great place to really learn about riding and horsemanship. Kriss is very professional and consistent with the horses and is very good at communicating with the rider when instructing. I have had lessons at other places and Kriss is by far the best trainer I have worked with. I always left a lesson feeling that I had learned something beneficial and that I was working through any problems with my horse or riding technique. She is a very good problem solver and always pushes you to be a better rider. She encourages you to understand your horse and why you are doing what you are doing. She is excellent.

Worst professional barn I have ever boarded at- I left within 5 weeks. Found my horses water bucket empty on a hot September day and had to clean out his stall twice because of manure piling up over days. All horses who come to this farm go into quarantine however, there is no quarantine pasture for turn out. In other words, your horse will be stall bound until fecal worming results come back which in my case was over 3 weeks. Training techniques are severe. On her first ride on my 22 year old horse on a hot September night, Kriss rode him so hard that his nose bled. Kriss temperment is mercurial; the last time I spoke with her, she was extremely critical of everything I did. Besides board, Kriss collects an additional $300 up front for monthly expenses and and additional $300 for a security deposit. Dont expect to get anything back when you leave. She managed to fabricate a bill that spent it all to the dollar. If you are a serious dressage rider, do not go to this barn.

The owner is rude, belligerent and obnoxious. Screams and curses obscentities at the horses. Could hear what sounded like a horse being beaten and scrambling from the other aisle at a show. At ringside could hear her making fun of other competitors and complaining about the judges LOUDLY. Saw her belly kick a horse for not standing still to mount then proceed to jerk it nearly off its feet. God knows what goes on out of sight!!!

This lady is absolutely rude and extremely disrespectful. She abuses not only her horses but the horses people pay to keep there. She also has no care for her employees and only cares about making money. Would never ever work there or take any horse there.
