EIT< Is a great place to go to school, The instructors are good people. Who are more than qualified to teach you which ever class you are taking. It is worth the time to have a look around, I glad I did.

I heard today that this school is offering a phlebotomy course. Please do not take this course. There are very few places in the erie area that hire phlebotomists and the places that do will train you and pay you to learn. Associated clinical Laboratories (ACL) and Grifols Biomat USA are two places that will hire you with no experience and train you. I have worked at both these places in the past. There are others out there also I went to great lakes in 2010 for phlebotomy and was very upset when I found out after graduation that there are very limited job opportunities in the field and that the ones out there pay you to train with no prior experience. Obviously the school will not disclose these things to you because they do not care that you are wasting your time and money. Great Lakes discontinued their phlebotomy program for these reasons. Also keep in mind that medical assistants are also trained in phlebotomy so many doctors offices have no need for phlebotomists. There is also no need for certification in pa. I hope that I can save people from wasting their money on this course as it is not needed to become a phlebotomist.

I’m currently a student here that started in March and haven’t learned anything that YouTube couldn’t show me. I feel that all I’m here for is to waste my time and money. Not a school I would refer to anyone.

Currently attending. Network Database Professional Program. Very little incentive to come back every day, this school has a long term problem with treating their instructors very poorly. Ive dealt with both unqualified instructors, and instructors who are just unprofessional and rude. One or more instructors could quit every three months, so be prepared for that if you plan on attending. That being said the program director for the NDP program is a great teacher and I think that the school needs more instructors like him.

At EIT, students come first! Students not only learn in the classroom, but actually put their knowledge to work in various hands-on situations daily. Faculty have experience in the field that they teach.

If you want to learn how to weld, go to EIT. They have been instructing and graduating students for many years. They have extensive experience in educating welders and helping them get jobs.

I had your hvac students out to install a furnace for me at the recommendation of one of your instructors, Bob Walters. The instructors and students were very professional and knowledgeable and handled the task well. I couldnt be more pleased with the results. i would recommend any of these future technicians to anyone looking to have any kind of hvac or furnace work done. Thank you for giving them the opportunity to learn hands on. What a great way to get experience.

I was enrolled for welding classes until yesterday half way through my 2nd term and it was problems from the gate....halfway through my first term 3 members of my family lost their lives in the same week so I had to take a week and a half off school for funerals and everything else but when I returned I was LITERALLY screamed at and cussed out for being gone so long and falling behind on projects so after the screaming match with a welding instructor named Doug to defend myself I completed the first term then in my 2nd term I was awarded a scholarship from the AWS and after my scholarship check was received by the school they took the check and kept the money for over a month of basically begging for the money I was given a lil more than half after “other charges” were added to my account that other welding students didn’t get charged on their accounts now after the scholarship check issue was brushed aside I became very ill from diabetes and missed another week in my 2nd term and when I returned I wasn’t allowed to make up any of my assignments from that week from 1 instructor named Steve and when I approached my instructor Doug about getting caught up on shop projects he refused to take any of his time to demonstrate projects for me so I understood when I approached Kate Hudson one of the directors her exact words to me were “I don’t wanna hear it” which infuriated me so when the head director of the school Paul Fitzgerald heard he approached me and when I explained that 2 of my instructors were brushing me to the side and treating me as a lost cause he defended his instructor Doug and praised him instead of fixing the problem so I requested to drop out but they refused to write a truthful statement about the details of why I was leaving instead of “student was unhappy with school” and when I refused to sign the paper Paul threatened to call the police on me and told me he dropped me forcefully so now I’m thousands in dollars in debt that the school benefited from because I refused to drop the conflict of how I was treated...if your looking to attend EIT I suggest you do your due diligence and research and read reviews and it’s also notable that while I was there for the 4 months over 10 different employees left the school from instructors upto directors and financial aide....just an over all horrible experience and it’s be against a huge business so I’m left with nothing

Went for graphic design and for the most part regretting it. I had 3 really good teachers, 1 who didnt even teach in my program. The program director at the time and probably still holds that job is a joke. One teacher there intentionally screwed up her grade sheet trying to fail me which I fought to the end and I ended up passing her class eventually. Unfortunately that delay cost me an internship with the seawolves which I would have loved because baseball has always been a part of my life. Even being a small part of any baseball team would have been awesome. Instead I got stuck with interning at a t-shirt print shop in downtown Erie and I couldnt have been more ridiculed anywhere else in my life. I also didnt learn a damn thing except the fact that the guy running the shop was more worried about his golf game or treating me like I was trash than teaching me anything. Now Im 12,000$ in debt to this joke of a school and cant find a job for my field because their job placement in this field sucks. They only want to send you to jobs that wont support you and/or are a ridiculous distance away. Lets just say this to end this review. I was with 7 other students when I began the program which had six, 3 month terms. By term 3, there were 2 of us left. And by the end of the 4th term, I was the only one left. I stuck it out and got my degree, but with little to nothing to show for it. Wouldnt recommend to anyone.

I am a two time graduate of EIT (EET and Microprocessors). The education I received there put me on a very successful career path of which I enjoyed and prospered. I would recommend EIT for anyone who wants a technical and rewarding career.

EIT believes in and practices a students come first mentality. EIT works hard to promote a positive experience for all its students. Students who display solid attendance and positive attitudes toward learning maximize their chances for success. Students who may struggle while attending can take advantage of a number of support services to get them back on track.

I am a current student at EIT in the HVAC program and I would not recommend it to anyone. You will spend 90% of the time doing nothing and the directors do everything they can so you cannot collectively voice your opinion. It is a cash scam and you will not learn what you need to know. You will know nothing about how to fix anything and when you graduate no company will hire you for anything more than an installation technician because you will not know how to fix anything. They lie to your face. Do your research and talk to current students in HVAC program before you apply. The government programs that give grants should be aware of the fraud that takes place. Heed my words.
