If I could give this 0 stars I would. This institution is an unfair and unreliable place. My sister was screwed over by the college on something that is not her fault, corona virus pandemic. They unfairly dropped her from the course when she only had the state board test to take. They did not keep in touch with her during the pandemic and somehow its her fault for not responding to the ONE email they sent out months after the school was closed. No communication was given to her with what was going to happen with the school and if she was still wanting to be enrolled. Now she has to find a different facility that will hopefully accept all her credits. Lack or communication and stupidity is what you will receive if you plan to attend this place!

Well, if I could offer less than a single star, I would. This place lacks direction and leadership. If you call to enroll, they are happy to have you come out and talk up all of the benefits for attending this school. Employers shop here for perspective candidates, former students teach here and the schedule of classes! To say follow up for emails and phone calls is NON EXISTENT! Called and emailed repeatedly the numbers and emails given by the gentleman who did the walk through and chat up of Miller-Mott. We called for a month, left messages and emails. ZERO return calls or responses! NADA! Taking our money to another school that is closer and returns calls and emails. How do you NOT get a call back so you can PAY and ENROLL????

I honestly shouldnt be giving this one star. When I went to school on the Ramsey Street location in Fayetteville years ago, I went into the medical assisting program. All in all, my experience was rather nice. The teachers were good, the staff was nice. The problem came shortly after I graduated. Now the program director for medical assisting at the Ramsey street location was a man named Wright Giles. I could not find a job in the medical field. No one who was in the program at the time could and none of us could figure out why. A lot of students felt like they had to go back into another program, putting themselves in more debt from student loans. I ended up with another job and thats when I found out. Wright Giles was arrested by police for impersonating a doctor at a small medical practice. Miller Motte denied having ever hired him and Im still up to my neck in student debt, despite how everything I supposedly learned from this school can not be used simply because they chose to hire a criminal! I advise people to please really look into where you plan to go to school.

I was thinking about attending this school for my Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA II) but based on all the reviews I’m seeing, I think I’m going to invest my money at FTCC. My husband went here for a class and he said that the staff were rude and incompetent and did not know how to assist Veterans with their VA funds/tuition 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️ They might as well just go ahead and shut down this school. Stealing money from people and giving them false assurances. SMH

Run far away from this place! It doesnt even deserve 1 star. The tuition is a huge rip off (over $30,000 for an associates degree!) The quality of education is horrible and most students there will never earn a degree. I was in class with other students that could barely read or write and rarely showed up for class. But yet they still managed to get good grades. They were just there to get a refund check which was student loan money from the government. I am lucky I figured this out before they started charging me for tuition. Do not waste your money here! Funny that there isnt one good review on this college! BEWARE!

AVOID THIS SCHOOL AT ALL COST AND HERE IS WHY. I enrolled in Miller Motte about a year ago to pursue a certificate they were offering with the presumption that I will be done within 4 months providing I passed all of the classes as it was advertised on their website along with an admissions representative assuring me that was the case. Not only did they not deliver on their promise but they failed to tell me that the program was defunct, here is the kicker, they didn’t bother telling me until after they had received their funds and it took them a year to tell me this. Why did it take a year for me to get this information? Simple, they kept telling me the class was being delayed due to not having any professors that can teach the class, going through organizational and business changes, etc. After countless emails and being transferred to dozens of individuals which by the way was a debacle and a hell of an experience in itself (make sure you have a game plan when calling) I finally got to who I think is the individual who will refund my money. Hopefully, they don’t take another year to do that or else I will seek legal assistance in this matter. Terrible customer service experience, poor communication, and questionable education resource.

This college is by far the worst! The financing department messed up my finances and decided to not say anything to me at all! No emails, no calls, no mail, instead they decided to go for two years, continue saying nothing and then send a small debt to collection, now they put my transcripts on hold. Then I tried to get some help from them and they essentially placed the blame on me. Thanks Miller-Motte. Degree wasn’t worth it, wasted my time, along with a certification that I can’t even use. The military should black list this college for soldiers!!!

My dear friend Tamyra blessed me with an Express Facial Appointment with Takiah at the Miller Motte Fayetteville Facility. This was my first time here and I was impressed with the security of the reception area and check in process. Takiah has an aura about her that just makes you comfortable and relaxed from the very beginning. She took the time to get to know me and my skin care regimen, which I am embarrassed to say is simply soap and water. She told me what she suggested for our session and explained what each process would do. I felt truly pampered during my facial, and when it was over, there was a day and night difference in my entire face. I left with amazing skin, knowledge of products that would work best for me and the desire to take care of myself a little more than I have been. Put you best face forward with Takiah, I will be sending my friends and family to see her while she finishes up her clinic hours and plan to follow her to her future location after graduation. Takiah has a true gift and such a passion for her clients well being and happiness. Thank you for everything, I will be seeing you soon. Catherine Lee

I highly recommend Miller-Motte for professional personal care and this is why-in the last year or so Ive been to four expensive hair salons here in Fayetteville just to see what else was offered in the area . The experience with each one was extremely disappointing and expensive. I got the wrong kind of perm at one salon and at the other three my hair was cut much shorter than I asked for.Ive had to wait almost two years for my hair to grow out in order for me to do anything with it.I recalled that my previous experiences at Miller-Motte had been excellent and very reasonably priced so I want back today to have a perm and eyebrow wax. Both are perfect. The staff was friendly, helpful and professional. I wont waste my time or money on other salons anymore.

Boy do I have a lot to say.My husband was stationed here not very long ago and I was excited to further my education and passionate about esthetics. This school 100000000% is a waste of your time. Their seriously needs to be something done about it and I’ve tried talking to my instructors about it and have been nothing but disrespected. The students and instructors are racist and play favoritism more than anything. I’m a great student, work very hard and I show that with my grades. The people that hardly ever come to class and do no work somehow get rewarded and are passing. The instructors that teach he esthetics program are actually cosmetologists and granted cosmetologist do go over skin care they do not go into the extent estheticians do. So I’m being taught esthetics by cosmetologists. Not only are my instructors not really qualified they pick fights with the Caucasian students constantly. When I said the school is racist towards white people that’s a understatement...Most of the students here are only going to receive a VA check and for their “refund”.This one specific instructor I’ve witnessed hit on the student and is extremely unprofessional. And I’ve told someone about it and nothing has been done about it. I’ve told the instructor before that I’ve gotten bullied or about my weak education I’m getting and nothing changes. The skin care treatments you learn one time and then are expected to know it!!!!! So good luck finding a job afterwards cause you won’t know anything. The school is gross, and doesn’t get cleaned properly. I’ve never even seen a custodian. I’ve heard multiple times that something is wrong with the schools accreditation. I’m terrified I’m going to graduate and not being able to go anywhere with my license. I hope students that are actually wanting a education read this and I hope it’s reframes you from coming here. I’m sincerely devastated in my decision in coming here. Military wives that want a education I would suggest driving a hour away versus here. I will be taking my way up the chain to notify the owner on how bad it is here. I’m almost done here and I’m changing schools because it’s just that bad. I hope the owner sees this and something finally gets done about everything.Samantha Zlater

This school ( Cosmetology department) has cause nothing but grief for me and my family. the school held onto funds and failed to notify me that i had to sign for them more then 30 days past their regulated 14 day requirement of disbursement. upon disbursement out of 4100 dollars only 100 was released and then we had to wait another 2 weeks for any action to be taken. They are very petty and the teachers dont come to class on time, There is no structure, sever lack of communication and the teachers are very unprofessional. If a teacher doesnt like you they misrepresent your hours which has made numerous students get kicked out because they cannot make them up. Luckily we kept a copy of our hours so the school cant screw us over. The syllabus is a joke and is not followed by the cosmetology department at all and this school should be investigated and the entire staff replaced by more competent and professional teachers who dont dip into the pockets of their students by purposely failing them forcing them them to come back the next semester.

She is in the cdl program and has perfect attendance and has completed all of her work and has got her cdl permit on her own. but when it came to actually training her to drive they do not give you no time at all. She has had 5 different instructors and they have taught her five different ways to do one thing. She has told them time and time again she is having trouble and doesnt understand and all she gets is the run around and they make lots of empty promises. I really feel for all the money they charge they should give better training. Trust me If you Plan on going here PLEASE save your money they are con artists that just take your money all they care about is how many people they can get in the program to take your money but once they got it they are not worried about training you and making you good at your career.

I give 1/2 star!!! I graduated from Miller Motte in 2012. I was super excited when I started because the school was new to Fayetteville. It was a little bumpy in the beginning, because they had not ironed out all the kinks. Well it didnt take long for everything to go downhill from there. When the people say all they care about is money, BELIEVE IT!!! I was in the cosmetology program and my student loans are over 28,000 dollars. When I started, there was a degree program offered for the program. I had to take all of my core classes over because what I received from FTCC apparently, they were too old to be used, that was like 5 classes=MONEY. They charged for everything, even when you didnt want certain things. They made me get a flash drive which was like $10. They said it was included and it would be charged anyway. The same went for a portfolio that was $20, if not more, that I never used. I still have it, and I still dont use it. I did not want to participate in graduation services, nor did I want that business suit that they gave us, (Not sure if they still have those) but I was told that I would still be charged for each thing whether I wanted it or not. In COS, you have to have a certain amount of hours at the end of your program. My last class before graduation, I was short 4 hours. Instead of them allowing me to make them up, they gave me an F for the class and charged me for a WHOLE other semester, just to take 4 hours= MONEY. I was still charged for an Associates Degree, even though I switched over to the certificate program. I had awesome instructors, so I have no complaints about that. Teaching styles varied, but thats a given. Some of the administrative staff was okay. It seemed as though all of the ones that were passionate about helping the students somehow mysteriously were fired. MILLER-MOTTE DOES NOT GIVE REFUNDS...THAT MONEY IS NOT A REFUND CHECK!!!!! I CAN NOT stress that enough. DO NOT be fooled. That is a part of your loan. YOU MUST PAY THAT BACK!!!! You get loan money AND you get pell money. Your pell is used OFF TOP THEN they use your loan money!!! Luckily, when I started, there was a GREAT woman in the financial aid office that really cared about the students and she let us know what was going on, needless to say, she was one of the ones that got fired! Anyway, after each semester, I never signed for the release of funds. I wanted to keep my loans as low as possible. Unfortunately, because hours in COS fluctuated every semester, I had to take time off from my job, so I had to start receiving the stipend. Five years later, I still have not gone into my field of study because while my instructors were awesome, I dont feel like we were given the training we needed. We were not exposed to a lot of things. I dont feel comfortable doing some things on people. If I had to choose to work in the field or take the course all over, I would take the course over...AT ANOTHER SCHOOL. Ive been working in the bookstore at FTCC and looking at what the COS students get in their kits there and when I tell you they have E-VER-Y-THIIIIING, in their kits...from hair swatches for coloring on down to choosing left- or right-handed shears, they have everything. Oh yeah, did I forget to tell you that most of the instructors that taught me, including the director of my program, who was also fired, now teach at FTCC and some of the students that didnt finish the program are now attending FTCC??? What does that tell you? They periodically come on to this post in response to some of the reviews, but they arent saying anything. Thats their job to monitor reviews, so they can discredit the reviewers views. Im not telling you all one way or the other. I just wanted to share my experiences with you because they sold me on a dream and if I can help you to go in with your EYES WIDE OPEN, then thats what Im going to do. If you choose to go to Miller Motte after reading these reviews, thats fine because you have to make your own choices, but just know... EVERYONE CANT BE TELLING THE SAME LIE...good luck!

More Cons then Pros;Cons;WORST comunication and professionalism I have EVER come across!!!I attended the Miller-Motte CDL program in Fayetteville, Nc.July 5th 2016 threw July 28th 2016.Here are some MAJOR issues and concerns I dealt with;It started with my first phone call to the 800 number. The girl I spoke with could not tell me any info on the CDL program but my main concern at that time was if they except the G.I. Bill or not. She could not tell me. She physically wanted me to drive to the campus to meet with the CDL adviser Fred Widner to find out if they even except the G.I. Bill.Hopefully this saves you a trip... They DO except it.Next; DO NOT PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR THE D.O.T. PHYSICAL!!!When you meet with Fred Widner he will pump you full of info but will most likely forget to tell you not to pay for your physical like he did for me and many other students. A week before I started school I called and emailed Fred Widner to try to find out what I needed to do for my DOT physical. I reseved no response from him or anyone at the main campus. So after serval failed contact attemps I again had to physically go to the campus where I thought I could receive the correct information from Fred. When I arrived at the MMC capus Fred was not there. I then explained the situation to the lady who helps with enrollment and she told me that if I paid for the DOT physical I would get reimbursed. THIS WAS NOT THE CORRECTED INFORMATION!A week into the program I found out I was NOT supposed to pay for the physical and i was supposed to wait for an email with billing information that you would give to the medical examiners office to bill the school. I end up reseving this email a week and 3 days after I had already started class witch is obviously to late.Fred Widner said he would help me get my refund back but when ever I checked on the status of my refund I could not get in contact with Fred via several emails, phone calls and voice mails. Its as if he was avoiding me. Freds lack of comunication and professionalism is what put me and many other students into this situation in the first place. He could not take 2 minutes out of his day to email or call me back to let me know the status of my situation. When i brought it to his attention threw an email this is what Fred Widner replied;DominicI was out of the net for a few days and working on Ft. Bragg as well as conducting my daily interviews in and out of the office. There are no communications issues on this side as I let you know that once I found out what the delay was I would contact you.If Fred was out of the office for a few days then a courtesy automated email should have been established along with a courtesy automated voicemail informing students of his absence. As long as Fred thinks There are no communications issues on this sideThis problem will never get resolved.Fred Widner is really giving the Miller-Motte CDL program a bad reputation.PROs;The two BEST driving instructors Arture Flores and Michael McDougall (aka. Mac.) These two instructors are outstanding, professional and respectful. They really care about there students, trucks and fellow instructors.they get a 5 star ratingI hope this helped future CDL students.Sincerely, Dom Castro
