This place is so cute! My daughter had a blast!I cant figure out why this place would have any negative reviews. Yes, its a little small, but Fayetteville is also a smaller city. I think its great for the area. My daughter could have entertained herself here all day.We will definitely be paying for the membership so we can keep coming back!

We got a year pass because we enjoy it so much. My kids are 4 and 1.5. Weve visited 6 times. I have never thought it was dirty and Ive always been pretty impressed with how picked up it all is. I usually go on a weekday around 10:30am and were often the only family there. 😆 Luxury!Yes - some of the toys are outdated - different parts could use a facelift. Definitely there could be more doctors things to play with, for example. But frankly, the kids dont care. They enjoy it and they imagine and play. Awesome.Id love an area for lunch... But I can imagine thats a messy logistical nightmare. All in all - were happy and satisfied.

This museum is awesome. Not only did my kids have fun so did i. We spent all day here. Left got lunch and went back. There is so much for the kids to do. We even got the membership because we knew we would come back a million times. My kids are 1, 3, 5 and 7. everyone of them loved it. A must see for children under 10.

Although my daughter enjoyed certain parts of it, I really wasnt very impressed. We expected it to be bigger and cleaner. It was definitely outdated and needs to be updated. All of the children there seemed to enjoy themselves and there are educational exhibits. My suggestion is a new paint job with new toys and books . Also, please provide more hand sanitizer stations and more staff to clean. Good for younger children.

This is such a wonderful place for kids to come and enjoy all sorts of fun activities. We could honestly be busy for hours and my son wouldnt get tired of it. We also enjoy the craft projects offered throughout the month. My son doesnt always sit still for them but its nice that he can go off and play if he gets fidgety.

It was okay. It felt so dirty and out of date. The toys are all so so so old and I just felt like I needed a shower afterwards. I will bet money my daughter gets sick in next few days from this place. It’s quite obvious they do no clean it even though they say they do. Clear funding issues. Only got two stars because my daughter did have fun and some of the stations were educational.

The idea of this place is nice. They lose a star for cleanliness. They lose another star for the amount of people, to amount of space. It is claimed to be open at reduce capacity. But it’s so small, and so many kids, all different ages were allowed in without masks. Some didn’t have shoes. I was screaming in my head the whole time, but my kids enjoyed. And if they end up with Covid, ah well. Any readers reading, my advice would be to travel. Raleigh and Charlotte are a ways away, but well worth the trip. Again, this is a nice place for the area.

For fayetteville this is about as good a place as any. It is open, and fir my 3-4 y/o, enough to keep him occupied and entertained fir a while. Price is acceptable, and I appreciate the fact that parents are less expensive than children. Some of the displays are outdated or old and grimy, but Im sure they have funding issues. Great old building, and the staff seems friendly.

We stopped here by chance on our way through the state. It was a quaint children’s museum with a simple set up. It wasn’t really a “museum” as there weren’t any exhibits, but there were many “stations” that were hands on for the kids to enjoy. Overall, it was a decent little place, but I don’t think we would go out of our way to visit again. For a local, I could see visiting it frequently to give the kids a reprieve from the Carolina heat. It’s great to see these types of businesses for the kids!

This museum is great. Very inexpensive, with interative play throughout all of it. Great for kids of all ages. The staff, while attentive if you need something, is generally hands off, letting the kids play how they want. The gift shop is also nice because its got very cheap things that can give your kid a feeling they got something without breaking the bank. If you live here or just travelling through, visit, its worth it.

We had a really good time here with our 1-1/2 and 2-1/2 year old. Lots of cute little areas to help our little ones explore, use their imagination, socialize and play. I think the place could use some upgrades, better lighting and some staff enforced parental supervision. My 1-1/2 year old was knocked over quite a few times by some older kids that had no supervision and my 2-1/2 year old witnessed some aggressive “playing” that ended up turning into a fight with some 8-12 year olds. That was our cue to head out. Our kids really enjoyed it overall though, the pricing isn’t too bad either.

While the museum was somewhat dated, especially with the content and things to do, my 2.5 year old boy had a blast. The staff was extremely nice, and the price for admission was reasonable (family of 3 was just over $10.) There is a wide variety of hands on activities all of which are child friendly. Overall it was a good experience and good value for a little more than an hour outing with the family.

This place is AWESOME for kids. If theres nothing to do on a rainy day take the little one here. Sit back relax and let them have a blast playing dress up or acting like a waitress or waiter, cook or shop at the grocery store, play judge or predict the weather even a fire pole to slide down just the right size or check out you teeth in the dental chair. So much to do but if you want quiet theres a reading room and quiet place too. You can get a year pass for the family for about $50.

Ehhh it’s okay. Better for kids under the age of 4. I find it strange that parents have to pay for entry as well as the kids, most similar museums only kids pay an entry fee. We’ve been going here for about 6 years and almost everything is exactly the same as the first time we went. A lot of parts aren’t very well maintained and it’s much smaller than it looks from the outside.

We were so disappointed with our experience here. It was hot, smelt bad, and all the toys were worn, broken, or dirty. Multiple items were sticky and they had posted that there was an art project between certain times that didn’t exist. We mostly went for the train exhibit and found out that it doesn’t even open until noon. There was no way way we were going to keep our toddler entertained in that small crowded, hot dirty, space for a whole hour longer so we ended up just leaving. What a waist of money.

My 16month old had a lot of fun here so that was great. But as a parent, this place needs major renovation. Everything just has an incredibly dirty feeling and look to it. I mean the place is literally falling apart. It gets 3 stars because my son had fun but I wish they used the money people spent here to clean it up. Upon leaving I immediately washed my sons hands and used baby wipes to wipe off every part of him that touched anything and gave him a really good bath at night. I’m not a germaphob at all but that’s just the feeling you get in this place- that it’s filthy. It’s unfortunate that to go to a nice museum you have to leave Fayetteville, and drive at least an hour.

This place is cute. Its very small, but after looking at some other reviews there are apparently different floors but we didnt see any stairs or signs for it. There are a lot of cloth items, which I dont like and a lot of the exhibits were broke. The working exhibits had like one button that took two seconds for the kids to be bored. Great place for children to learn hands on how different places work in our city. There is a post office, grocery store, news station, court house, school, theatre, military base, fire department, restaurant, construction site, farm, dental office, and medical office where children can dress up in different uniforms and learn how each profession works. I gave this location 3 stars because unfortunately a lot of the displays did not work or were missing parts and there were children running and fighting due to lack of supervision.

The one star is for the friendly and welcoming staff- the one seemingly redeeming quality of the museum. If the combination of bad body odor, sweaty feet, and mothballs hitting you in the face when you walk through the entrance isnt enough to deter you from further exploration, perhaps the musty, crusty, unwashed puppets, wigs, and dress-up clothes will. The food market area is horribly outdated and filled with grocery food items of permanently stained, paint peeling, and degrading plastic. They do have a few neat emergency vehicles- but there are no horns on the steering wheels and no sirens while the lights are flashing which definitely takes the exciting factor down several notches. In the construction area with a tool bench, there are several tools, a few helmets, and wooden blocks. However, there are no accessories to use with the tools- like pretend nails, screws, nuts, and bolts that are part of any standard tool-bench play-set.

Great place to take the little ones (age 8 and younger will enjoy the most). Every 4th Friday in downtown Fayetteville the museum is free with donation, also on Wednesdays during the day at a certain time. Not sure how often things are sanitized and cleaned and with it being flu season (and just with germs in general) I think this is a very important measure that must be taken daily. You child is guaranteed to spend 1-2 hours before leaving without putting up a fuss. Large facility. Want to have a Puppet show? Be a News Anchor on TV? Create you own play with costumes? Pretend your a firefighter? Drive a cop car or a ambulance? Want to be a teacher in the classroom? A doctor? A grocery store clerk? A judge? A post office worker? A construction worker? Or my kids favorite; A waiter and cook? Ever worked on a farm? Want to know what the military life is like? Want to be a dentist? Ok, thats pretty much everything...hope this helped someone. This place deserves all the praise, serves the upcoming leaders of our community well.
