When my wife and I relocated our family from Phoenix, AZ to the Atlanta area, we did not know much about the area, but we knew we had to find a wonderful school setting for our young children. We decided the Montessori environment would be best for them and after visiting many Montessori schools in the area we decided Counterpane was the right one. This decision has been truly validated. The staff is awesome and steady. The families of the other students have become family to us as well. Most important, we are seeing our daughters grow and stretch in such appropriate ways at an amazing pace. Counterpane is awesome!!!

We compared multiple other schools - private and Montessori - with Counterpane for over a year before choosing an environment for our son and are reminded daily of the reasons this institution rose to the top. Counterpanes unique grounds and ardent staff combined with Montessori principles allow students prosperous surroundings to excel academically and develop life skills of compassion, work ethic and self accountability. How comforting to know our son is being scholastically prepared for college while equipped with the same values we teach him to become a contributing member of our society!

We have two kids at Counterpane, one in the Primary classroom and one in Lower School. My husband and I could not be happier with the decision to send them to Counterpane. The staff is wise and loving, committed to the success of each student; the environment facilitates in-depth learning and personal growth; and the community is rooted in respect, kindness and acceptance. We were unfamiliar with the Montessori philosophy before our kids started school here and have come to appreciate its focus on independence, responsibility, and respect for the individual childs development. We have seen our kids thrive in this setting. There truly is no place like Counterpane and we are so grateful that our kids are able to go to school there.

Counterpane is a 5 Star School if 5 is the highest Star for a rating. I have sat in the classroom on Grandparents Day and experienced first hand what a Day is like at Counterpane. The teachers and the students are examples of how learning should be experienced on a day to day basics. I recommend this school to anyone wanting their children OR their grandchildren to receive THE BEST EDUCATION and a safe and loving environment a child could possibly receive. l appreciate the devotion and personalized attention each student receives.

Counterpane had offered our daughter a place to peacefully and freely learn and grow. We would have never known what was tucked away in the trees with out visiting the school. I never knew what Montessori teaching was so I doubted its educational growth in my own ignorance. We are amazed with the positive changes with our daughter since she had been at this school. The negative experiences plus forceful learning were driving my worldly daughter, who loves life, to hate school........ she now loves it and cant wait to go every day........ We decided that Montessori would provide the most child-centered holistic learning environment and we were fortunate to find Counterpane after visiting and researching several others in the Atlanta area. This amazing school , environment and a family like feel is excellent for kids . both my kids Majd and Ward are at this awesome school , the fact that it is all the way to high school is even a great boost to stay there . :)
