Dancing with Mrs. Kate and her dance family was such an amazing experience! Mrs. Kate’s personality is such a gift, she is patient, caring, open-minded, and willing to do whatever it takes to keep her students happy, healthy, and safe. She encourages students to follow their dreams, and gives students such a positive mindset to help their growth in dance. This group, as I said, is not just a group, but rather a family! Everyone is able to learn and have fun, making new friends no matter the age! I struggled with distance from the studio, but Mrs. Kate was willing to do whatever it took to help me to continue dancing. Now everyone has the outstanding opportunity to take online classes from any location! If you are debating on dancing either highland dance or ballet with the Highland Dance Academy, give it a try, you will be glad you did!

Highland dance academy is the best dance studio in town! My daughter went to several dance studios and I danced for over 10 years. I know what to compare to. Mrs. Kate and other instructors are so talented and really care about success of your child. She really prepares them well for competitions and pays attention to slight details. She is very energetic, fun, loving, wonderful teacher who gives her 100%. My daughter has been attending this studio for 3 years. She developed strong friendships and learned how to work hard and be successful. I would recommend this studio to anyone who is interested in taking dance lessons!

While in town on a trip, I was able to bring my 2-1/2 year old for a highland dance class at NC Highland Dance Academy. I loved how creative the warm up exercises were, it was a positive atmosphere, and the instructor is fantastic with kids! Also she’s an amazing highland dancer herself and the authentic training even down to the little ones truly comes through. If we lived here my son would most definitely be taking regular classes here. I highly recommend this studio!

Thoughtful and kind instructor with many years of personal experience dancing and teaching highland dance. I have different aged girls with very different temperaments and Mrs. Kate excites and motivates each of them. They are progressing quickly with technical and skilled direction; understanding and mastering the steps. They love her studio and can’t wait to hop in the car for her class!
