My daughter just did the beginner’s class and enjoyed. I was having fun just watching her. My daughter is on the shy side and the instructor was very good at both teaching and pulling her out of her comfort zone. We’re trying to juggle her schedule to get her in the regular class. Fourth Friday’s, go check it out, you won’t be disappointed.

My daughter is learning and his coaching is very helpful for her to understand. The buildings located in a safe area and the facility is clean and a good atmosphere for kids especially during this time in our country.

I started at All-American when I was 13 and knew basically nothing about fencing other than vague differences between foil, epee, and sabre. They taught me everything I know about fencing (thank you Coach Gerhard and Coach John!) and really spent the time to make sure I learned and improved each lesson. They also taught me about the equipment I was using and the maintenance/fixing of it. When I was there, there were typically at least two classes or open fencing times a week you could go to and there were usually coaches around, who you could ask for help or private lessons. The environment there always felt safe and inviting and all the other fencers were pleasant and kind.I loved my time there (Im sure you will, too) and hope Ill be able to come back some time!

My daughter began fencing here over a year ago and absolutely loves it. The coaching staff is incredible and the facility has an extremely neat vibe to it. Its in an old dance/ballet studio that was repurposed for fencing so the old ballet bars are still installed along the walls and serve as fencing mask and jacket racks and the wood floors compliment the overall feel. The academy is definitely less like a hired staff teaching fencing, and more like a family that genuinely provides the best assistance possible to ensure their fencers are among the best of the best. The owner offers a tournament nearly every single month so youre able to test your newly acquired skills against other fencers from the academy and around the state, so whether youre interested in the fitness aspect of the sport or the competitive aspect, theres something for everyone! I HIGHLY recommend this establishment if youre looking for a quality fencing academy.

This is an easy 5 stars for me because I have been fencing here and only here for the past four years. Fencing is a challenging sport for sure and the coaches do nothing but keep me going. They push my skills little by little and they understand my level of fencing and how I fence by focusing on me when I fence. The atmosphere of this environment is ideal for learning, socializing, and just flat out having a good time. Believe me, I wouldnt drive an hour to this place (I live out of town) for four years consecutively if I didnt absolutely love it, that wouldnt make any sense to me at all.

My son started fencing at AAFA two years ago and loves it! He knew nothing about fencing when he walked in the first time, and by the end of his first lesson he was hooked. The coaches are amazing, and the other fencers are friendly and supportive as well. I highly recommend AAFA!

AAFA is one of the best things Ive ever been a part of. Excellent, experienced, dynamic, and knowledgeable coaches, but beyond that, AAFA understands how to make fencing a fun and important part of your life. Fenced here for 3 years as a teenager and it was extremely formative. I made lifelong friends and only stopped going because I moved. Would recommend to anyone!

I grew up here under her coach Gerhard Guevarra. My experience here opened many doors to success: my first job and getting recruited to fence with UNC Chapel Hills NCAA DIV-1 team. All of the coaches are excellent role models. Opportunities for children as young as seven and adults of all ages.

The All-American Fencing Academy in downtown Fayetteville has everything you could want from a great fencing salle. It has a welcoming atmosphere, plenty of good quality gear for beginners to borrow, and wonderful, experienced coaches. Take one lesson with Coach Gerhard, wrap your hand around the grip of a foil, and realize what your life has been missing for all of these years-fencing!!!

My son has been fencing with AAFA for 5 months now & he absolutely loves it. We wanted him to get involved in some extracurricular activity but he does not like any other sport. We asked him if he would like to try fencing, he was unsure until we took him to a Friday walk-in class, needless to say he fell in love with it. He has met new friends & is excited each week to be able to hang out with them & do what each of them love to do, fence. Coach Gerhard is a very patient coach who loves to have fun with the kids, he teaches but also plays games as well, each game, helps them in one way or another with fencing, the kids love it.. Thank You AAFA for being such a positive influence on our sons life. He continues to enjoy everything about fencing.
