I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. A man named Henry was behind the counter and quickly helped me find an appropriate gift for a friend who plays trumpet. I then asked to try out some of their electric guitars and Henry helped me set up and play a couple of them. I ended up purchasing one and I appreciate the quality of the instrument for the price it cost. All in all, it was a great experience and I highly recommend Federal Way Music & Arts.

First time in the store, they where very helpful and answered all my newbie acoustics guitar questions. Bought some new strings and he installed them while I waited in about 10-15 minutes. Thanks again!I’ll definitely be back.

On July 28, I visited this store for the first time. I took in a guitar that needed to be restrung and have one fret adjusted. I was greeted by Chris, the Store Manager, and Henry, his assistant. They were both extremely welcoming, professional, and patient as I asked somewhere just short of one million questions. They gave me all the advice I needed regarding replacement strings, prepared a service ticket for their repair department, and promised to return my guitar within two weeks. They called me one week later and told me it was ready to be picked up. I went in and found it to be in wonderful condition with perfectly mounted and tuned strings. The dead fret had also been adjusted and the guitar sounded like it was brand new. And ... the total cost for the service was less than half of the original estimate. The store is beautifully stocked and maintained, and both Chris and Henry are expert at what they do as well as exceptionally customer service oriented. I will recommend this store to all of my associates, and I will always take my business back to Music & Arts. This is a world-class operation that provides super products and services at very reasonable rates.

Went in looking at Cellos, left with a rental within 30 min and half off of my books and endpin stop because it took longer than it usually does. I was pleased with the cello I received and the finish was perfect for my preferences. Definitely recommend coming here!

Great place to go for instrumental needs

I came in to get replacement strings for my classical guitar. Christopher not only sold me the strings, but strung them on my instrument giving me a demonstration lesson at no extra charge. Incredible service. I will definitely come back. Thank you.

I was amazed at the added discount. Went to this local store instead of amazon so I could get a feel before buying a large keyboard and compare prices. Christmas discount was awesome, but Chris added their current local discount without my even noticing, saving me another $90! Such a nice place to shop! Greeted as soon as I entered, but not pressured at all. Sales staff available, pleasant, knowledgeable. Definitely recommend!

Used to be a nice, local music store with helpful and knowledgeable music teachers and musicians on hand. Now its been taken over by a big company -- which isnt in and of itself a bad thing. But in this case, they seem to have gotten rid of the staff and the friendly, community-oriented vibe. Im willing to pay higher prices for a local store run by people with passion for music -- but this is just a national chain store. If youre looking strictly for price, go to Amazon. If you want lower prices and a good quality local store experience, Ted Brown is the way to go.

I came in here to get a shoulder rest for my violin. The gentlemen that helped me were extremely pleasant and professional. I will come here again in the future.

Went in intending to check out their cello selection and was really impressed by their knowledge and resourcefulness. I bought a beginners cello, and book. They have a wonderful selection and nifty beginners kits, or for those who need brand new everything for their particular instrument (rosin, cloth, and donut). Honestly, better service and quality than Ted Brown.

The manager Samantha was super cool, very informative, talented, and very helpful. Contrary to other posts, they did have some great deals on awesome items. I was surprised by the big selection they had for a smaller store. Everything was clean and in good order. I will definitely go there again and I hope you do to.

The bass guitar teacher here is a hack.He wont teach you to be a musician and he doesnt care if you learn anything.He cant even read standard music notation or music written in tabulator form.If you just want to learn songs, get the Tab Pro app or Rocksmith.

Extremely helpful staff. They really know and love music. They take the time to give you ideas. Sometimes they do get busy so you have to wait a bit, but there is lots to look at while you wait, so I dont usually mind. I buy my daughters sax reeds here, plus get our guitars tuned up and buy strings.

I sent in my sons flute for cleaning and estimate on repairs such as pad replacment. It took twice as long for an estimate than they stated. In the store they told me he had mold on a couple pads that would need to be replaced, but when the repair tech called they stated that it needed a complete overhaul and was unplayable. This is a lie as not only had my son played in the Fall concert the day before I brought it in for repair, but the school band teacher had played it and said it just needed a good cleaning. Then after I refused to do the repairs they told me theyd ship our flute on the next truck, but they didnt and it took over a week to get the flute back.BUYER BEWARE!!!

Went there to pick up a new set of guitar strings because my jazzmaster was buzzing. I told Tymmothy about the problem and he said they can change a new gear and help me set up my guitar. Chris called me the next day its ready to pick up.The fixed the buzzing problem and put a new set of guitar strings just for the price of the string. Amazing service and price. I am coming back again for more products.

Went in to replace a string that broke on my banjo, and he helped me pick out new strings and strung them up for me, tuned it for me and helped me pick picks! WHAT AMAZING SERVICE.
